Coutinho MK2? Liverpool are currently assessing a Uruguayan striker with a view to completing a permanent deal.
According to the Daily Mail today:
"Uruguay prospect Agustin Davila has started a two-week trial with Liverpool. Davila flew to Merseyside on Saturday to be assessed by academy director Alex Inglethorpe and the club's coaching staff".
Some info about Davila:
* 17-year-old striker and/or Number 10 who plays for Atletico Penarol. Represented Uruguay at at Under 15 and U17 level.
* Scored 100 goals for Penarol/Uruguay's youth teams. His football idol is Barca star Neymar.
* Jun 2016: Uruguayan journalist Bernardo Martins enthused: "Excellent left-foot and excellent distribution. Often plays centrally, but can play on the wings. He's always looking for space, and never shrinks from the physical challenge".
* Jun 2016: When asked about his best position, Davila told reporters: "I am a left-sided attacker who loves to score goals".
A South American attacker, who can play as a number-10, or on the wings. Sounds just like...Philippe Coutinho. Perhaps Klopp is already preparing for the Brazilian's inevitable departure at some point in the next 2-3 years?
