Anfield Alert: 82% of Liverpool fans demand Leicester start for 'outstanding' £80k-a-week LFC star [Local poll]

After a month out injured, Liverpool midfield Lucas Leiva made his comeback last week with ninety minute run-out against Championship side Huddersfield. The Brazilian insists that he's '100% ready' to start competitive games for the Reds, but should he come straight back into the team against Prem champions Leicester City?

When asked over the weekend about his recovery, Lucas told the club's official website:

"I’m 100 per cent [fit]. I was only out for three-and-a-half weeks...and was on the bench [at Tottenham]. I’m ready to go. Now, with the international break I have another two weeks to train and I feel very fit. I’m ready to play 90 minutes".

This is a clear message to Jurgen Klopp, but what do Liverpool fans think about Lucas^ starting against Leicester?

Over the weekend, I conducted a site poll asking fans that question, and the results were emphatic:

* 82% of fans called for Lucas to start as a DM.

With Emre Can injured, and Hendo/Wijnaldum ineffectively playing out of position, there's arguably no excuse for Klopp to ignore Lucas on Saturday, and if the first four games of the season have proven anything, it's that the defence continues to be vulnerable due to inadequate protection from midfield. My preferred lineup for Leicester:

------------ Mignolet
Milner - Lovren -- Matip ---- Clyne
------------- Lucas
-------- Hendo
Mane ------ Coutinho ---- Wijnaldum
----------- Sturridge

* If Klavan is fit, then Clyne at RB, and Klavan at LB.

* If not Lucas, then Stewart at DM.

^ Feb 2016: Described by Jamie Carragher as a 'outstanding'. Reportedly on £80k-a-week.
