Truth Revealed: 12 Premier League players more injury prone than Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge

Along with Daniel Agger, Daniel Sturridge is one of the most injured players in Liverpool history, but where does he rank in the list of the Premier League's most injury-prone players?

Surprising low, as it happens.

According to data compiled by Premier Injuries, twelve other Premier League players have suffered more injuries than Sturridge since 2012, with the likes of Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, David Silva, Yaya Toure, and Sergio Aguero leading the way in terms of sheer number of injury issues.

The figures are slightly misleading, though. Sturridge may have suffered fewer injuries, but he's spent significantly more days on the sidelines (739) than Kompany (682). Additionally, players like Aguero, Silva, and Rooney (who suffered more actual injuries than Sturridge) have spent less than 500 days on the sidelines over the same period of time. Unsurprisingly, Liverpool flop Andy Carroll has spent more time than Sturridge on the treatment table (835 days).

Rather shockingly, Sturridge is not expected to be fit enough to start Saturday's Premier League clash with Hull City.
