Anfield MegaDeal: Liverpool now free to sign 'world-class' goal-machine for €94m. Transfer fee set by club Chief

In recent months, Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for 'world-class' Argentine goal machine Gonzalo Higuain, but after today's development, there's (surely) no chance of deal going through this summer.

Higuain^ is reportedly 'interesting in joining Liverpool', but according to Sky Sports 'sources' today

"Napoli will not sell Gonzalo Higuain for anything less than €94m. Our Sky colleagues in Italy say Napoli president Dino De Laurentiis [revealed this] at a meeting of Serie A presidents".

This fits with De Laurentiis's comments in June, when he told reporters:

"I have not received offers for that match his [Higuain's] clause [reputedly €94m]. I have the feeling Pipita will not betray us.".

If the Higuain deal was wildly improbable before, it's next to impossible now, unless FSG obliterate Liverpool's transfer record.

Hypothetically, if FSG are willing to put up that much cash for Higuain, should Liverpool buy, or steer clear?
