Transfer Stunner: Euro giants plan €60m megadeal with Liverpool for 'amazing' attacker. Contact made already

After Liverpool's failure to qualify for the Champions League, some of the club's star players will inevitably be linked with moves away this summer, and the first big name on the potential exit list is Brazilian maestro Philippe Coutinho.

According to Le10 Sport today:

* Paris St. Germain are planning a €60m offer for Coutinho.

* PSG have already approached the Brazilian's representatives to discuss a potential transfer.

Coutinho - hailed in April by Jurgen Klopp as an 'amazing' player - is firm fan favourite, but he is prone to inconsistency, and over the last three years, his goals/assists record isn't good enough (as I've highlighted several times). Additionally, despite being anointed the club's 'Player of the Season':

* Coutinho failed to make the Premier League's top 20 for goals, assists, or chance-creation this season.

* Over the season, Alberto Moreno - a defender - created more chances.

Coutinho's talent is undisputed, but it's hard to ignore a €60m offer for a player who cost £8m. That said, given the club's current situation, Liverpool will almost certainly struggle to replace Coutinho with someone better (i.e. capable of impacting games on a more regular basis).

Until that changes, a sale should (IMO) be out of the question.
