'New Messi' to Anfield? Liverpool favourites to sign 'extraordinary' attacker. Club source reveals LFC interest

Another day, another link to an untested teenager, and this time, it's FC Nordsjaelland youngster Emre Mor who is reportedly wanted Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

According to ESPN:

"Liverpool are leading the race for Emre Mor, a source close to the Danish club has told ESPN".

Some info about Mor, who is the latest player to be saddled with the 'New Messi' description:

* 18-year old attacker, who can plays as a left/right winger, or as a striker. Current contract expires: 2019

* FC Nordsjaelland: 4 goals/assists in 13 apps (One every 243 mins)

* May 2016: Included in Turkey's 23-man squad for Euro 2016. One senior appearance so far.

* Jan 2016: Turkey manager Fatih Terim's assessment: "Emre is a special player, he really is exceptional. Usually, he would not be here [with the national team], but I congratulate all those who have helped him win for us".

* Mar 2016: Nordsjaelland coach Kasper Hjulmand raved: "He [Mor] is extraordinary. He is so fast, and just when you think you've got him, he drags the ball away and changes direction".

Mor's selection for Turkey's Euro 2016 squad is an impressive achievement for an 18-year old, but even with that, I just can't get excited about a teenager with just 13 senior games to his name.

Additionally, like Coutinho, Lallana, Ibe etc, Mor is on the smaller side, and in my view, Klopp needs to bring in some taller, stronger attackers to add some variety to the Reds' attack.
