I'll Quit: 'Terrific' £37m attacker threatens to leave Liverpool; Admits Klopp is 'frustrating' him

After being ignored by Jurgen Klopp much of 2016, Christian Benteke's Liverpool fate appears to be sealed, and it'll come as no surprise if the Belgian ends up on the Anfield scrapheap this summer. In March, Benteke publicly admitted that he'd consider his future at the end of the season, and today, the Belgian striker has hinted once again that he's ready to permanently quit the club.

Speaking to reporters at Belgium's training camp, Benteke made it clear that he'll leave unless Klopp plays him regularly:

"When Klopp arrived, I wasn't in his plans [which] was frustrating. I'd like to stay if I remain in the coach's plans, but if that's not the case, it'll be difficult to stay."

In my view, this is a no-brainer: Benteke should leave Liverpool ASAP. As last season showed, he just isn't Klopp's type of player, and that's unlikely to change next season, especially with Sturridge and Origi in the squad.

Additionally, with the reduced number of games, Benteke's chances of regular football will decrease even more, and unless he wants to spend another season warming the bench, leaving is his best option.

The likes of Atletico Madrid and Juventus are reportedly monitoring £37m-rated Benteke, and if he plays well during the Euros, an Anfield exit will (IMO) become inevitable.

I maintain that Jurgen Klopp is 90% to blame for the Benteke's under-performance at Liverpool. Lesser managers have got the best out of Benteke, but Klopp - allegedly one of the world's superstar coaches - has utterly failed to get him firing.
