Liverpool XI vs. W.Brom: Surprise debut for 'fantastic' Academy sensation? Klopp confirms team faces big changes

On Sunday, Liverpool face West Brom in the final Premier League game of the season, and Reds fan will be hoping that there's no repeat of the 6-1 hammering that ended the club's league campaign last season.

Stoke embarrassed Liverpool on that fateful day, and with Jurgen Klopp reportedly set to rest his entire Europa League XI for Sunday's game, there's obviously a chance of yet another defeat, especially if West Brom go all out for the win.

When asked on Friday about resting players this weekend, Klopp told reporters:

“What can I do? - Go there with a youth team? We will not play with the same team as Chelsea, for sure. For set pieces we’ll need to find a lot of really tall players from the Academy or wherever and then try to do everything to get the result".

According to the Liverpool Echo:

"Brannagan and Canos are competing for a Premier League debut. Ings is expected to be in the squad. Bogdan, Randall, Flanagan, Stewart, Ibe and Teixeira are all likely to feature on Sunday".

Liverpool still have a slim chance of qualifying for the Europa League by finishing 6th or 7th in the league, but if Southampton and West Ham both win, and Man Utd lose, then it's game over, irrespective of Liverpool's result.

Possible Team:

-------------------- Bogdan
Flanagan ----- Skrtel --- Lucas ---- Smith
------- Brannagan - Stewart -- Allen
------------- Canos^ ------ Ojo
------------------- Benteke

Whatever the result, the league season has to go down as another failure. Liverpool finished on 62 points last season, and that was enough for fans to rabidly call for Brendan Rodgers' head.

The highest points total Liverpool can achieve this season is...62, and despite having seven months of league games, Klopp hasn't been able to get more out of the squad *in the league* than Rodgers.

Hopefully, that will change next season.
