Done Deal in 48 Hours? Liverpool close to signing 'amazing' €15m attacker. Talks finalised today

Piotr Zielinski's transfer to Liverpool is one of the worst kept secrets in football, and it looks like a deal for he 'amazing' attacker is finally set to be officially agreed this week.

On May 5th, Gazetta Dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira claimed Liverpool submitted a €15m offer for Zielinski, and according to Andrzej Twarowski - presenter of League Extra - a football show on Polish TV station Canal + Poland:

* Talks between Zielinski and Liverpool have reached a 'crucial stage', and negotiations will be finalised today (Monday)

* Zielinski will sign a contract with Liverpool on Wednesday.

Recent Transfer Timeline:

Feb 2016: The Telegraph reported: "Liverpool tried to sign Piotr Zieliński in January. The Merseyside club will try to revive that deal this summer".

Feb 2016: Daily Mail claimed: "Liverpool [will] hold talks over the signing of Piotr Zielinski. Scouts have continued to monitor his progress".

Mar 2016: Zielinski told Futbolfejs: "Some people may think it [the Liverpool move] is only rumours but I know more about it. It would be great to play alongside Coutinho".

Apr 2016: Speaking to Polish media outlet Sportowe Fakty Zielinski further confirmed: “There is a lot of truth in rumours about Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, we've had some talks".

With 5 goals/6 assists in 36 games this season (goal every 625 mins. G/A every 284 mins), Zielinski's creative output is incredibly average, and I fail to see how he is an upgrade on any of Liverpool's current attacking players.

That said, Klopp has a history of making stars out of Polish players (Piszczek, Błaszczykowski, and Lewandowski, for example), so perhaps he can work the same magic on Zielinski...?
