Contact Made: Liverpool in advanced talks to sign exciting Portuguese attacker. Transfer close

Last month, Liverpool signed Man City youngster Diego Lattie, and new reports suggest the Reds are on the verge of poaching another young talent from City's academy.

According to ESPN today:

"Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Man City youngster Rafael Camacho.

Liverpool have a long-term interest [in Camacho], and talks are at an advanced stage between both parties, sources have told ESPN".

As with Lattie, Man City have decided not to offer Camacho a professional contract, and Liverpool have swooped in to pick up the pieces.

Some info about Camacho:

* Attacking midfielder, who can also play on the left or right wings.

* Spent his formative years at Sporting Lisbon, and signed for City in 2014.

* Three goals in five appearances for Portugal's under-16 team.

* Recently trained with Man Utd's youth team.

As with Lattie, the question is: why have Man City decided to let Camacho go?
