Liverpool XI vs. Spurs: £40m attacker injured; Klopp confirms 'exciting' star may start

it's back! After the tedium of the international break, Liverpool face Spurs in the Premier League today, and a win will keep the Reds in contention for a top four place. Can Liverpool do it?

Klopp's pre-match updates:

* On Origi: "He has been back in complete training since yesterday, so he is available".

* On Benteke^: “In this moment he is not available and we have to wait for further assessments to know exactly how long it will be. But for this game for sure, he has no chance".

* On Firmino^^: "He will be close. We have to make a decision, maybe tomorrow - we will see. It’s another 24 hours but we cannot bring pressure in this situation and we have to wait to see how he feels".

Pre-match talk:

* Ljinders on Spurs: "It’s really important that you know where the space is in the opponent’s backline. Even if they win the ball in these situations, we can apply counter-press and make the intensity higher than they are used to".

* Ljinders on Tactics: "Counter-press, counter-press, pressing, pressing, more pressing, following by super intense counter-pressing, and even more pressing, re-pressing, over-pressing, and a final helping of magic pressing. Press, press, press!"

* Moreno on Spurs: "There will be a special plan to deal with Tottenham; as I said, they are a good team and we are not only going to concentrate on two players".

Coutinho trained normally on Friday, and with Firmino possibly out of the game, he'll almost certainly play. Amazingly, Daniel Sturridge is still fit after 6+ games in a row *and* an international break. I'll take it!

Probable Line-up:

-------------- Mignolet
Flanagan - Sakho ---- Lovren ----- Clyne
------ Milner -- Can -- Hendo
-------- Coutinho - Lallana
-------------- Sturridge
