Confirmed Liverpool Team: Last-gasp injury for 'incredible' star? £61m-duo out; 'amazing' attacker starts

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has named a fairly predictable line-up for today's crunch clash with Spurs, and with the Reds currently languishing in 10th place in the league, a positive result is essential.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno; Henderson, Can; Milner, Coutinho, Lallana; Sturridge.

SUBS: Ward, Toure, Allen, Origi, Ibe, Skrtel, Smith.

SPURS: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Son, Alli; Kane.

* Firmino is not in the squad, which means he's either not recovered from his hamstring injury, or Klopp is preserving him for next week's Europa League game with Borussia Dortmund.

* Coutinho makes the starting line-up, despite a 13-hour return flight from Brazil on Thursday. With Firmino out, Coutinho's inclusion is a big positive.

* Jon Flanagan - hailed by Jordan Henderson for his 'incredible' injury rehab - is also not in the match-day squad, and since he's not eligible for the Europa League (and is therefore not being rested) the only logical conclusion is that he's injured again. Probable formation

------------ Mignolet
Clyne --- Sakho -- Lovren ---- Moreno
----- Milner -- Can -- Hendo
------- Lallana -- Coutinho
------------ Sturridge

Eriksen, Son, Alli, Kane...that's a formidable quarter, and the Reds will have to work hard to contain those four.
