Anfield-bound? Liverpool Reps fly out to watch 'exceptional' €8m attacker with 'dazzling talent'

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Liverpool are seemingly busy tracking potential targets, and new reports this week suggest that the Reds are monitoring one of South America's most coveted attacking players.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola:

* Liverpool, Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain have all sent scouts to watch Atletico Nacional attacker Marlos Moreno.

Brazilian daily newspaper Lance further claims that Liverpool have made an €8m offer for Moreno.

Some info about Moreno, recently described as a 'dazzling individual talent':

* 19-year old right-winger, who can also play on the left, or as a centre-forward.

* 12 goals/assists in 18 games for Nacional (One every 111 minutes). Two appearances for the Colombia national team.

* Mar 2016: Full international debut against Bolivia. Created the winning goal in the last minute of the game.

* Mar 2016: Tim Vickery, the BBC's South American football expert, offered the following assessment: "The best young talent on the continent. Fluid movement, excellent one-against-one skill. Capacity to work anywhere across the attacking line, to find space, to pick the right pass, to play intelligent one-twos and to operate as part of a team. He [Moreno] has been exceptional".

* Mar 2016: Insisted that he will develop into a 'better' player than Colombia legend Faustino Asprilla.

€8m seems like a reasonable fee for the (alleged) 'best young talent' in South America, but the transition into the Premier League is a difficult one, and with only 18 senior games to his name, Moreno is clearly a long way from being ready for regular first-team action for LFC.

Additionally, there's the work permit situation to consider, and with only two international appearances to date, Moreno will have a hard time qualifying.
