Anfield-bound: Liverpool ready to pay €7m for 'unpredictable' midfielder who's 'happy' with LFC interest

Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for Juventus midfielder midfielder Samuel Bastien, who is currently on-loa at Serie B side Avellino.

According to TalkSport:

* Liverpool have 'stepped up their interest' in Bastien, who has allegedly been on the Reds' radar 'since last season'.

* Reds scouts have 'frequently watched' Bastien over the last year, and are ready to pay the €7m asking price.

When asked in January about the possibility of a future transfer, Bastien's Agent told reporters:

"He [Bastien] is creative, fast and unpredictable. Avellino is very pleased with him, but other Italian circles following him".

Some info about Bastien:

* Central midfielder, who can also play as an attacking midfielder or a DM. Current contract expires in June 2016, but Avellino have an option to buy.

* 2 goals in 24 games for Avellino this season.

* Feb 2016: On his time at Avellino: "I am playing here in a more offensive role, with more freedom. Fans say I am the new Kevin De Bruyne, but I should stay realistic: this is only my first season as a professional".

* Feb 2016: When asked specifically about Liverpool's interest, he told reporters: "That makes me happy but I should take one step at a time. A return to Anderlecht is also possible".

With 19-year old Marko Grujic already signed, is there any point in signing yet another teenage central midfiedler, especially with Brannagan, Rossiter, and Chirivella at the club?
