Contact Made: Liverpool keen to sign 'excellent' €10m Argentine sensation with 26 goals last season

For the most part, South American players seem to do well at Liverpool, and the likes of Suarez, Coutinho, Mascherano, Lucas, and (arguably) Firmino are proof-positive of that. Suarez, in particular, took Anfield by storm, and new reports this week suggest that the Reds are monitoring another South American talent.

According to Italian newspaper Tutto Mercato:

"Liverpool are tracking Rosario attacker Giovani Lo Celso, and have asked to be kept informed about the player's progress".

Some info about Lo Celso:

* Left-footed Argentine attacking midfielder. Currently plays for CA Rosario in the Argentine Primera División. Contract expires: 2018

* Dec 2015: PSG and Chelsea reportedly submitted official offers of €10m and €9M respectively.

* Jan 2016: Roma (whose Sporting Director Walter Sabatini is reportedly a big fan of Lo Celso) made a €7m offer.

* Jan 2016: Number 38 on La Gazetta Dello Sport's 50 best young players in world football.

* Gazetta's description: "Lo Celso will become the next great player from Argentina. He can dribble with the best players in the world...but also sees plays for others, often setting his teammates up with sublime passes".

* Nov 2015: Excerpt from a scouting report: "Adept at dribbling. Good speed. Great skill and technique. Excellent vision. Tactically, the his perfect role is playmaker in a 4-2-3-1, which allows him to be in the thick of the game".

* 2015-16: Grabbed 26 goals for Rosario's reserve team.

€10m is a comparatively affordable price for for a player who'll allegedly become 'the next great player from Argentina', and like Marko Grujic, Lo Celso is very much a Klopp-type transfer.

Incidentally, Grujic came in at number 20 on Gazetta's list.
