Yes Please: Liverpool make €24m offer for 'spectacular' Barcelona star. Talks already held with LFC leadership

After yet another costly mistake, the end is surely nigh for Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, and it appears that Jurgen Klopp is taking concrete steps to sign the Belgian's replacement.

In November, Tutto Mercato reported that Klopp 'discussed' a possible ter Stegen transfer with Liverpool's 'leadership', and according to Spanish sports magazine Don Balon:

"Barcelona have received offers for Marc André Ter-Stegen from Liverpool and Manchester City for 24 and 30 million euros respectively".

This follows a report earlier this month in The Mirror, which claimed:

* Liverpool are 'ready to sign' Marc-Andre ter Stegen this summer.

* Luis Enrique is unhappy with the German's attitude.

* ter Stegen has allegedly requested 'talks' with Barcelona over his lack of game time.

ter Stegen - recently hailed by Luis Enrique as 'spectacular' - hasn't started a league game since September, and with Euro 2016 on the horizon, is it any wonder that he's growing frustrated?

To me, that's not an 'attitude issue', it merely shows ambition/drive to succeed, and that is arguably a positive, not a negative.

After his Barcelona experience, it's vital that ter Stegen gets it right with his next move. He needs to go to a club where he'll play every week, and that is obviously Liverpool. Pep Guardiola is an obvious attraction at Man City, but with Joe Hart in the squad, ter Stegen will be nuts to take a chance at the Etihad.

If ter Stegen takes the money and ends up at City, it'll be his funeral, and he'll have no one but himself to blame if he ends up playing second fiddle to Hart. At Anfield, the number-one spot is there for the taking.

Is ter Stegen worth the money?
