Surprise Changes? Lawro insists Klopp's starting lineup for West Ham 'might not include' Liverpool's 'better players'

After the pitiful Premier League draw against Sunderland, it's back to FA Cup action this week, and the Reds face a tough trip to West Ham, who've already beaten the Reds twice this season. In both defeats, Liverpool's alleged senior players failed to deliver the goods, and Reds legend Mark Lawrenson has urged Jurgen Klopp to dump some LFC's underperforming 'stars' for Tuesday's replay.

In his weekend column for the Liverpool Echo, Lawro mused:

"If I was Jurgen Klopp, I'd be choosing a team good enough to beat West Ham – which, given we lost both Premier League games, might not include some of our supposed better players".

Absolutely. Some of those allegedly 'better players' who should miss out against West Ham include Lallana, Can, Moreno, Clyne, Mignolet and Henderson.

Joe Allen started the last FA Cup game against West Ham, and I'd have Milner in his place, mainly for the experience he brings, which will be vital amid the hostile Upton Park atmosphere.

(Milner is also one of the better crossers in the team, and he grabbed a great assist against Sunderland at the weekend.

Liverpool's young players did well in the first West Ham game: they kept a clean sheet, and didn't lose the game, which is something Lallana et al failed to do on two separate occasions.

As such, Teixiera, Smith, Brannagan et al arguably deserve the chance to finish the job on Tuesday.
