Confirmed Liverpool Team: 'Sensational' attacker dropped; LFC failure starts again; man-management mistake as Allen is benched

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made one change for today's Premier League clash with Manchester United, and once again, loan signing Steven Caulker is on the bench.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Lucas, Henderson, Can, Milner, Lallana, Firmino.

SUBS: Ward, Caulker, Smith, Allen, Teixeira, Ibe, Benteke.

MAN UTD: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.

* In my view, playing Sakho and Toure for the second time in four days is a risky strategy. Both were shaky against Arsenal, and given their injury issues this season, it won't surprise me in the slightest to see one of them go off injured.

* Caulker on the bench again? What was the point in signing him if he's not going to play?

* With the allegedly 'sensational' (Rodgers' hyperbole) Jordon Ibe on the bench, this team has very little pace or width in the final third.

* Lallana gets the nod again, despite continuing to be an utter failure for Liverpool. Klopp's blind faith in Lallana is increasingly damaging to the team.

* Clearly, the merit system means absolutely nothing to Klopp. After rescuing Liverpool against Arsenal (and playing well overall recently) Joe Allen's reward is...being dumped on the bench? For me, that's poor man-management, and is not conducive to effective motivation.

Probable formation:

------------ Mignolet
Clyne - Sakho ---- Toure -- Moreno
-- Hendo --- Lucas -- Can
----- Milner --- Lallana
--------- Firmino
