Bad News for Klopp: 'Wonderful' Liverpool playmaker injured again. Out until next year

Liverpool's injury curse strikes again! Just one game into his comeback, 'wonderful' Reds midfielder Jordan Rossiter is injured yet again, and he'll now spend the heavy Christmas period on the sidelines.

According to the Liverpool Echo today:

"A scan [has] revealed that Jordan Rossiter has a hamstring strain, [which] he suffered after coming off the bench [against] FC Sion. Rossiter isn’t expected to be back until January".

Luckily, with Henderson, Can, Lucas, and Allen in the squad, Liverpool have plenty of cover in central midfield, and to be brutally honest, it's not as if Rossiter is a vital part of the first team.

That may change in the future, but for now, Rossiter is easily replaceable. Does he have what it takes to become a long-term regular for Liverpool, though?

Anfield legend Mark Lawrenson doesn't appear to think so, and in a recent column for the Liverpool Echo, he mused:

"Because of his [Rossiter's] stature I suspect he is going to have be some player to feature in the Premier League regularly".

It also appears that Rossiter is a wanted man, and according to a recent report by The Mirror:

"Liverpool face losing Jordan Rossiter. There is interest in him from Champions League clubs at home and abroad. He will be available for nothing in the summer".

Liverpool clearly need to get started on a new deal for 'wonderful' Rossiter, and it's strange that the club hasn't tied him down yet. However, given the fact he's a Liverpudlian, it's doubtful that Rossiter will actually want to leave.

As for Rossiter's injury issues: Steven Gerrard suffered a few injury problems at the start of his Liverpool career, and it didn't affect his ability to develop into a top class player...
