€60m Mega-deal? Klopp free to sign 'incredible' goal-machine who'd like to 'join Liverpool'

In October, Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang admitted that he'd be interested in signing for Liverpool, but if Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the prolific striker to Anfield, it appears that FSG will have to smash the club's transfer record.

In May, the Daily Express claimed:

"The Reds are keen on signing [Aubameyang]. A £35million bid [is] thought to be in the offering, with Liverpool keen to bolster their attacking options".

Aubameyang appears to open to a transfer. Indeed, a Dortmund 'source' recently claimed:

"An offer to join Liverpool now Jurgen [Klopp] is there would be an attractive proposition [for Aubameyang]"

Well, if Liverpool want Aubameyang, it's going to cost a lot more than £35m. According to some alleged 'inside information' from German newspaper SportBild today:

* Dortmund are willing to sell Aubameyang, but only for offers over €60m.

* The Gabon international allegedly has a 'pact' with Dortmund that he will not leave as long as Marco Reus is at the club.

Some info about Aubameyang:

* Nicknamed 'Spiderman' as he often dons a Spiderman mask after scoring goals.

* St.Etienne: 68 goals/assist in 96 apps for (Goal/assist every 115 mins)

* Dortmund: 84 goals/assists in 114 apps (Goal/assist every 97 mins)

* Totals: 152 goals/assists in 210 apps (Goal/assist every 105 mins)

* This season: 27 goals/assists in 20 games (Goal/assist every 61 minutes)

* Jurgen Klopp's assessment: “His [Aubameyang's]  pace is incredible and he’s also technically strong. He is a great player and we are very pleased with him.”

* Most importantly, Aubemyang is very rarely injured. In the last three years, he's spent just 20 days on the sidelines, and in that time, he's missed just 6 games through injury.

Aubameyang seems to tick all the boxes: 'incredible' pace, prolific creative output, and comfortable in Klopp's gegenpressing system.

Obviously, players like Aubemeyang, Reus, and Lewandowski (another alleged LFC target) are amongst the most coveted players in Europe, but Jurgen Klopp signed all three players, so that will surely give the Reds an advantage in any negotiation.

The solution is obvious: If Aubameyang has such a close bond with Reus, then break the bank and bring both players to Anfield. Easier said that done, I know...
