Despite repeated calls for him to be benched, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has named Daniel Sturridge in the starting line-up for today's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Allen, Moreno, Sterling, Lallana, Coutinho, Sturridge
SUBS: Jones, Johnson, Toure, Gerrard, Lambert, Lucas, Balotelli
MAN UTD: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young, Rooney.
* It looks like Sterling will be playing right wing-back. Hopefully, it won't be Lallana as is not suited to that role in the slightest.
* I doubt Steven Gerrard will be happy to be on the bench for his what could be his last ever LFC game against United. In my view, he should be in the team ahead of Lallana.
* Lucas makes his return to the squad, which is a welcome boost, but after being injured for almost six weeks - and only training for a few days this week - he's hardly match-fit, so it seems like an odd decision to include him at the expense of players who are match-fit.
* For example: Borini, Manquillo, Markovic and Lovren don't even make the match-day squad. Markovic is understandable, but it's a giant kick in the teeth for Lovren, who (arguably) doesn't deserve to be ditched for this game after a recent return to form. He could be injured, of course, but if not, it's a strange decision.
Probable formation:
------------------ Mignolet
--- Can ---------- Skrtel --------- Sakho
-- Sterling -- Hendo - Allen ---- Moreno
----------- Coutinho - Lallana
---------------- Sturridge
My prediction: 3-1 to LFC.

Could go to the 3-4-3 which does leave Liverpool exposed out wide a bit more. Can Can deal with Valencia? I hope Can Can.
ReplyDeleteMarkovic + Lovren = 40m not even on the bench.
ReplyDeleteI would have rather gone for Markovic at RWB. We will most likely see Lallana feature there again.
UTD have Blind and Carrick back, both very good players so that is a massive boost for them. Let's hope we win the midfield battle.
NO, NO JAIMIE. PREDICT A DRAW
ReplyDeleteLallana's been a starter in the team throughout our winning run. Gerrard hasn't. Why change that. Lallana contributes a lot to the team and it's not as simple as goals/assists which you like to point out. Our team is based on pressing from the front - reason why Gerrard and Balotelli should never play in this team.
ReplyDeleteif we won BR will be branded genius?? But if we lose im sure gerrard will drag him down to hell as well hahahahaa
ReplyDeleteI will just be happy if we won. Beating UTD will be the highlight of the season as it would be the first time this season that we enter the top 4. We should have been there much earlier...
ReplyDelete"Markovic + Lovren = 40m not even on the bench."
ReplyDeleteGood call, what an embarrassment. 20m for Lovren, with no other teams publicly vying for him? As bad as the Carroll/Aquilani/Downing deals, imho. Geez have we wasted some ridiculous amounts of money on dross.
That said, Lallana, Can and Moreno are showing well from last summers buys, so hopefully those 3 "hits" will be enough strengthen us for the CL push.
Total respect for Rodgers not picking Gerrard. Most would not have the courage to do that (incl Jaimie). Whatever the outcome, he is showing this season that he is growing and learning fast (his justified dropping of Lovren, Balotelli, Borini and Markovic at various times have shown that he is not one to constantly play his own signings to try and hide their questionable signing).
ReplyDeleteTry hide their questionable signing?
ReplyDeletePrior to Gerrard's injury, Liverpool were unbeaten in 11 out of 12 games with him in starting line-up (7 wins/4 draws/1 defeat).
ReplyDeleteApart from defensive duty, Lallana contributes next to nothing. His primary job, whether you like it or not, is to score and create goals, and he doesn't do that consistently (1 goal/1 assist in 14 games).
And stop twisting my words. I've never mentioned goals/assists as a performance indicator in connection with Lucas. If you're going to paraphrase me then do it accurately.
Not sure why some are praising Lallana so much. Fine he has been injured but quite honestly, would Ibe have done any worse if he was given a chance this season?
ReplyDeleteWe massively overpaid for Lallana when we could have invested in a proper striker. Balotelli, cough cough.
Lovren has withdrawn from Croatian national team for forthcomming matches and I guess he is injured.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knew we over paid for Lallana i cannot believe the money they outlaid on him Markovic or Lovren.
ReplyDeleteGetting a quality striker to come was a big ask last season and will be just as big if not bigger next window.
The biggest, most important fixture of the season. Win and we are in great position for CL. The opposite of winning, however, would leave us with a mountain to climb. Doesn't get much more tense and nervy than this!
ReplyDeleteAll I wanted from match 1 was to get ahead of ManUre and prevent them from buying their place in the CL again. We did it last year, if we can do it again now, that could put them in a tricky position.
Please let us knock more foundations out from under their crumbling empire. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!
Valentin should be the other side I think.
ReplyDeleteIf we had gone to Lyon and taken the £41m we blew on Lallana and Balotelli to try sign Lacazette, do you think the player or Lyon would have said no? We also has CL football on offer and finished 2nd the previous season.
ReplyDeleteGod and I was hopeful too.
ReplyDeleteWouldnt have taken 41 million but there is always the chance Lacazette may have wanted 1 more season regardless but its slim pickins when it comes to quality strikers.
ReplyDeleteCould have signed Isco too last season nbow we are no hope.
How far off the relegation zone? How far off of S'oton? West Ham? And other silly questions..
ReplyDeleteNow look at the table. Now it matters. Now we win. Keep the faith and you will never walk alone.
Orme.
There is no should. We have a team that cost less than four other teams with wages lesser than four other teams. They "should" finish above us. Of we finish above any of them it is an achievement.
ReplyDelete2-2 DRAW there ya go.
ReplyDeletewe have been dogshit
ReplyDeleteplease, sub moreno off
ReplyDeleteMoreno is having an absolute 'mare so far. Constantly giving the ball away, and now at fault for the goal.
ReplyDeletethis is absolutely disgusting, liverpool
ReplyDeletethat's why i don't like attacking full back
ReplyDelete...JAIMIE, I TOLD YOU TO PICK A DRAW
ReplyDeletewell morenos not alone hes got a few allies out there.
ReplyDeletewtf are we actually doing? wtf?
ReplyDeleteWould be happy with a draw
ReplyDeleteWe haven't left the dressing room... we are so far behind the play it's embrassing
ReplyDeleteUTD have us figured out and totally dominating. Sterling and Moreno being eaten alive. Losing this will be very detrimental to our push for finishing 4th.
ReplyDeletelooking flat in midfield
ReplyDeleteYeah well we all how much you have wanting Liverpool to lose.. you must be having a great time
ReplyDeletewill br make a change now or wait til we're 2 down? likely the latter knowing him
ReplyDeleteget sterling where he can hurt THEM
ReplyDeleteYep... sterling running into somebody... who would of guessed
ReplyDeleteI want LFC to lose. What utter f***** shite yet you can come on here and call us embarrassing. Pot kettle black my friend.
ReplyDeleteon the bench ?
ReplyDeleteI suggested that we should have gone with Sterling and Sturrridge up top. Right now this match is going nowhere for us.
ReplyDeleteyeah, i wanted sterling up top, stuzza on bench. studge too easy to defend in this "form"
ReplyDeleteNo.. call the team embrassing. You are not a true fan. All we ever see from you is pure negativity. You consistently take every opportunity to complain a. I have ngo and never support the team. You never post anything positive.
ReplyDeleteYou made your feelings clear that you wanted BR sacked and have stuck to that regardless of the great job he has done over the couple of months.
Sterling shouldn't even be on the bench for me, he's too obsessed with his contract and don't really care about putting performance for the team.
ReplyDeleteevery pass sticking for them we are struggling
ReplyDeleteIsco ain't a striker. We have Coutinho anyway so one of them would be sitting on the bench. We needed to fin somebody to fill the Suarez void and we failed miserably i.e. Lambert and Balotelli.
ReplyDeleteLALLANA F*** OFF THAT MUST BE A GOAL.
ReplyDeletetololll
ReplyDeleteOh lallana shoulda nutted that
ReplyDeletei don't know what they are doing in training but it has been going for weeks now, they just can't pass the ball, today is just getting the result we deserve for now
ReplyDeleteHenderson, ffs. why did you hit it so hard!? perfect opportunity for thru bal on goal
ReplyDeleteSomebody get a cup of coffee for Lallana. He is asleep.
ReplyDeleteI am not a true fan? WTF and then you can also f***** lie and tell me I want LFC to lose. Please go bark up another tree.
ReplyDeleteI have been supporting this club all my life so you can go ahead and talk as much shite as you like, capisce?
Coffee for the whole team
ReplyDeleteif we manage to go in only 1 down, it's still all to play for. goals change games. we score, we're in the ascendancy
ReplyDeleteyep, i've just convinced myself, we're gonna win this game! all we need to do is score one to get our confidence/tails up ; )
ReplyDeleteneed to get sterling into the game
ReplyDeleteYeah he is an AM and so is Lallana.
ReplyDeletepicture it: Utd, in command for so long, get rocked to their core with a stunning goal. the kop volume goes up 9 million per cent. Utd literally start shitting themselves (a trickle of flourescent brown stuff can clearly be seen running down ashley youngs left leg)...and lo and behold, we do the bastards at the end...heartbreaking, soul crushing defeat for the big spenders. ah, what a shame
ReplyDeletewe need control in the midfield SG on for me
ReplyDeleteI never said you said Isco was a striker. If we did not need Lallana then why would we need Isco? We should have rather given Ibe a chance and gone all out for a top striker.
ReplyDeletesterling is wasted where he is playing...disappointing 1st half
ReplyDeleteHoping this game is a mirror of our season-- lousy first half much better second half
ReplyDeleteit will be my friend
ReplyDeletehope so because if we loose, our season lay well end real bad
ReplyDeleteok, we got those buggers right where we want them. It's a game of two halves. We score next, we win.
ReplyDeleteCocaine for Moreno. Has he even had a successful pass yet?
ReplyDeleteShoulda seen this coming after Swansea lets hope we can turn it around.
ReplyDeleteHendo is the one who has conjured up the disappearing act.
ReplyDeleteTake him out, move Lallana, put Gerrard in. Easy fix. Doubt it will happen though.
ReplyDeletepoor performance from our midfield so far..couts has been lively but we need a cool head in control like SG
ReplyDeleteBR, the most modest of tactical "geniuses" has once again sacrificed a first half to lull the opponent into a false sense of control.
ReplyDeleteNow it's time for captain Steven "Captain Fantastic" to captain a fantastic captains performance, and champion our cause for a fantastic champions league conclusion.
Seems like Van Gaal got one up tactically on Rodgers to start the game. The long ball to Fellaini was their easy out that negated all the pressing and allowed them to dominate possession. They then had the position up the field where Liverpool just couldn't go forward even if they did get the ball back. I reckon a bit of an adjustment was made when Lallana was injured and Rodgers had time to talk to his players. Coutinho has found more space in the middle and gets the game moving back in the right direction, that's made all the difference. Liverpool need to keep on this game, deal with Fellaini and get Sterling further forward, he's totally wasted on the wing.
ReplyDeleteLallana will never be able to justify his 25 million transfer fee...attacking midfielder ...my foot !
ReplyDeleteagree with u but sterling is playing out of position he should be playing behind sturridge ..hes too far back
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of Bozza smug as when united play.
ReplyDeleteLallana, Lovren, Markovic... c.£35 million worth of talent, snapped up for the bargain total of £65 million. Markovic will retain a modicum of value, but that's at least £20 million down the drain on Lallana that we're not getting back.
ReplyDeleteNot in finances. anyway. But, if Lalalalalalallana scores two goals to win this game and get us in the CL ahead of ManUre, BARGAIN O' THE DECADE. (The Utd empire will eventually crumble without CL football)
hopefully a diff side will come out in the 2nd half pushing for a goal at the kop end...come on reds!!!!!
ReplyDeleteterrible first half performance, hope i'm wrong but get the feeling we're going to get battered
ReplyDeleteYou're right. With all the defensive work Liverpool have to do he's got no chance.
ReplyDeleteHenderson & Allen poor today.
ReplyDeleteGerrard and GJ on
ReplyDeleteSG on for allen and GJ for moreno
ReplyDeleteBULLSH#T
ReplyDeletef&*^&*&***K
ReplyDeleteCRAP
ReplyDeleteyeah thanks gerrard
ReplyDeletebye top 4
ReplyDeleteOne word ATKINSON
ReplyDeleteCan't see how were are going to finish ahead of UTD now either.
ReplyDeleteyep
ReplyDeletelucas on now?
ReplyDeleteis gerrard f***ing retarded?
ReplyDeleteIf Rodgers had woken up earlier then we would not be in this situation. Even he admitted he changed things to late.
ReplyDeletePele?
ReplyDeleteLucas not going to help when we need goals.
ReplyDeleteThe guy's 34 years old and can't even control himself. Disgusted right now...
ReplyDeleteGerrard? Why? Stupid.....
ReplyDeleteOnly a win could save Brendon Rodgers from sack.
ReplyDeleteFrom 2nd spot last season to may be (if we lose today) a dismal finish at 6th-7th spot. Plus a thrashing at UCL and Europa league.
I think it would count as a poor season considering the fact that he was generously given 200 million plus 3 years to put up some show.
I don't have trust in BRs ability in transfer market even if he is given another chance. Because 90%of his transfers have been dismal . Second, he will never be able to attract a star player to Anfield because of he lacks visibility and connections in Europe.
In short the result of this match would decide the fate of Brendon Rodgers !!
Physical giant of the game. Mental midget. Flashback to the Everton game how many years ago, 13 or 14?
ReplyDeletesterling reckons he is worth a big contract?????? bye bye raheem, shut the door on your way to warming the bench at another mug club. truly terrible today.
ReplyDeleteatleast sterling has been pushed higher
ReplyDeletecoz the past 15 years its all been about gerrard
ReplyDeleteShould have started in attack from the word go.
ReplyDeleteso what ? he can't pass the ball or shoot
ReplyDeleteSorry Stevie totally irresponsible ...... cost us last year and could well cost us ECL qualification this year !
ReplyDeletehe can create though
ReplyDeletewasit kontol
ReplyDeleteThat Jones should be on a red now
ReplyDeletehow is that not a yellow
ReplyDeleteBloody hell.
ReplyDeleteAsk atkinson the fastest red card in the west.
ReplyDeletehow do you creat if you can't pass or shoot ? loosing the ball to the defender is not creating anything for your team
ReplyDeleteBr has presided over an awful lot of wasted money, but then we've been wasting money for years.
ReplyDeleteWhat bothers me about BR is, he came to the club preaching tiki-taka, but couldn't make it work. He's not the great tactical genius that he portrays himself to be and is usually (90% of time) out-thought and out-maneouvered by the opposition manager.
He's not sharp enough to manage our club.
end of game
ReplyDeleteBlame Stevie for BR's stubbornness throughout the first half of this season? Really?
ReplyDeleteEven legends can be guilty of utter, utter stupidity. He just may have cost is the season.
ReplyDeleteJaimie curse strikes again.
ReplyDeleteOuch, oh well europa here we come
ReplyDeleteneed to rely on others now for top 4 BR got it wrong with sterling playing so far back its a waste
ReplyDeleteSo 3-0 then
ReplyDeletetypical rodgers cock-up selection imho, as usual
ReplyDeleteTruth hurt much,?
ReplyDeleteIf only we had Lovren playing - he would bring his calmness and concentration to the team like he has done all season.
ReplyDeleteSo season not over yet but after almost £120m spent, top 4 now pretty much now like trying to reach Mount Everest, should FSG give Rodgers another season?
ReplyDeleteReally LIverpool??????
ReplyDeleteI blame Stevie for committing a red card offence when he had just come on as skipper to do a job and help SAVE the game !!!!
ReplyDeleteNope simply bacause he always gets found out against big teams
ReplyDeleteyes i believe in BR
ReplyDeleteBad result
ReplyDeleteWhat truth. Who the f*** are you?
ReplyDeleteseem gerrard did what i mentioned ahahahahaa
ReplyDeletegod can you stop flogging that dead horse? We understood back in October.
ReplyDeleteAny person who says they want their team to lose is not a true fan. You can say whatever you like but all you do is m oan on this thing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen you this happy in a long time.
ReplyDeleteAt the start of the season, I warned about the 'Van Gaal effect' in quite a few different articles. For example, in August, I argued:
ReplyDelete"At Man United, there's the Van Gaal factor to consider. The Dutchman is a fantastic manager, and he will almost certainly get an extra 20-30% out of his squad. As much as it pains me to say it, last season was an aberration for United, and due to the Moyes fiasco, the team massively under-performed. That won't happen under Van Gaal, who will ensure that United are a serious threat to Liverpool's top-four ambitions.
http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2014/08/liverpool-season-prediction-premier-league-5th-place.html
As usual, I was shouted down by fans who refuse to see the wood for the trees. Well, what's happening now? It's the Van Gaal effect in full force, and as predicted, Man United are a 'serious threat' to LFC's top four ambitions.
For those saying BR got it wrong I disagree. Fact is Man Utd were up for this game and we were not.
ReplyDeleteIt's the players who are at fault for showing a lack of fight. Remember before this game we had the best record of 2015. We broke defensive records which were nearly 30 years old.
We were playing well and winning games.
As for Gerrard, for a player of his experience what he did was a disgrace.
I have not seen you support this club all season. You are d eluded if you think you're a true fan and wanting them to lose. If you're not supporting us when they are losing, then don't bother when we are winning.
ReplyDeleteUtd Will definitely drop at least 10pts in the last 8 games, if we can beat arsenal I think we can pass utd for 4th
ReplyDeleteI have offed the game now , cannot take it . Sturridge does not fit 343
ReplyDeletefrom now on after this game
we go 442:
............................................Sturridge.........Sterling
......................Coutinho..............Can.............Allen...........Henderson
............................Moreno.......Sakho........Skrtel...........Manquillo
.................................................Mignolet
Agreed
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter, it's a huge game. Gerrard knew his responsibility, and he screwed it in the worst possible way.
ReplyDeleteHappy? Do you think I want to see LFC finish outside the top 4? It is a simple question.
ReplyDeleteIf you cannot answer it then go crawl back into the hole you came out of.
So Gerrard destroys our hopes 2 seasons in a row ?
ReplyDeleteHe is only good with managers that are tactically poor or have weak defensive line ups.
ReplyDeleteHe gets badly exposed against good tactics and a strong defense.
2nd spot last season was all down to the genius of Suarez. Hail Suarez !!
RIP BR !!
No it just we all know what you are like
ReplyDeleteWell they did also spend 170m
ReplyDeletewithout losing their best player as well .
If liverpool kept Suarez we would be above them.
Blame Gerrard. What rubbish.
ReplyDeleteHav been saying the same stuff some fanboys never agree
ReplyDeleteTo think that after years and years of prospering from the EPL's favouritism, not to mention a collusion with SKY tv, the ManUre empire was only another one or two years away from crumbling under the strain of crippling financial outlay with no CL football.
ReplyDeleteIf they missed out this year, with the debacle of the Falcao and Di maria signings, they surely must have begun to struggle to attract top talent.
I was so praying to see them undergo the same sort of fall from grace we experienced under Rafa and on into the truly abysmal Woy.
Yeah yeah we all know you want him sacked... jesus change the record
ReplyDeleteso you want to put an awful defender (Moreno) in a 4-4-2 ? just brilliant
ReplyDeleteGerrard has many years experience of players doing incredibly stupid things in Liverpool vs United games over the years. He really was best placed to be the man to take the lead and show the rest of the team how it's done.
ReplyDeleteAre you saying that you don't agree with red card ? If not say so ...
ReplyDeleteAnd you blame Rodgers for everything you can. I suppose someone will say that it was Rodgers fault for not starting Gerrard and that's why he got wound up to make an impression and lost his discipline.
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when Balo came on is we'll be down to 9 men soon.
ReplyDeleteOf course you want us to fail so you can say "I told you so". Everyone here knows that. And it's funny you're talking about crawling back into holes... Where have you been lately
ReplyDeleteRafael Benitez used to change tactics every game to suit the opposition.
ReplyDeleteRemember 2007 Arsenal at Anfield he went 442 to surprise them
With Rodgers it is keep trying till it completely stops working.
Rodgers cannot take a hint ,
Vs Bestikas it did not work with Sturridge up front
Vs Blackburn
and even vs Swansea
Don't worry mate . I am 100% convinced that FSG must be looking for his replacement by now .
ReplyDeleteYou also predicted 3-1 to Liverpool, but hey, it's your site, you get to pick and choose which of your predictions you re-post.
ReplyDeleteUTD were already dominating. To blame Gerrard for being nowhere in the match is just comical. What form the first half suggested that we could win this?
ReplyDeleteHe probably knows that more than the fair weather supporters on here
ReplyDeletejust wandering if atkinson is mancs 12th man
ReplyDeleteGame on !!!
ReplyDeleteHi Logan, we've missed you,
ReplyDeletelets go guys come on !!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is alight at the end of the tunnel.
ReplyDeleteFor us not you
ReplyDeletehello
ReplyDeleteAnd what would you do Logan?? Enlighten us instead of the 'I told you so' game.
ReplyDeleteJust ignore him, he;s upset.
ReplyDeleteIf we are going down lets go down FIGHTING
ReplyDeleteSorry no Gerrard has cost us the game a top 4 spot and BR needs to go .........
ReplyDeleteDoesn't take a genius to suggest a top class manager may do well when given a £150m transfer budget at Manchester United
ReplyDeleteMost players do stupid things. I do not see how you can blame Gerrard for screwing up our chances of finsihing 4th when we had the worst start to a half a century. Want to blame Gerrard for that too?
ReplyDeleteOur season is over. We started so slow and I just can't understand why Gerrard would do such a thing. Rodgers should have started with Gerrard but what the hell was he thinking.
ReplyDeletePlease stop slanding our players when this is a match on his own.
We play utd for god sake.
Go f youself.
ReplyDeleteThat's why you have Sturridge in the team. He can score out of nothing. Given his amazing goalscoring record for LFC, it's ridiculous to even question his inclusion in the team. You don't leave out strikers who contribute 46 goals/assists in 50 games (Sturridge's record before injury)
ReplyDeleteWell he is out for the next 3 games at least !
ReplyDeleteThere were 2 games. He got a red card in 1999 for studs-up on Kevin Campbell. Then in 2006, Benitez took him off for Lucas as he was out of control (remember that was when Lucas almost scored and Phil Neville handled and Kuyt scored winner from pen spot).
ReplyDeleteseriously atkinson is so light on manu
ReplyDeleteThe simple truth of the matter is we left it too late to turn the season around if we picked form up after we beat spurs 3-0 at white hart line we would ahve been there , but then again how do i account for them not finding our system out sooner
ReplyDeleteWe have been 13 games unbeaten. It was bound to end soon .
Thank you captain hindsight, what would we do without you?
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, we had a chance this year to signal a changing of the guard. We had a chance to end the ManUre CL places domination and instead take their place.
ReplyDeleteLet's face it, City and Chelsea are shoo-ins for the CL every year they have their oil money backing. Arsenal keep buying way better players than us, so we're not catching them in the near future, save for an injury marred campaign.
That only left ManUre to aim for. We had them on the ropes last year, but sadly, the £100 and however many million we invested in the squad was money poorly invested, for the most part.
We had a chance and yep, we've now blown it. As a fan from the glory days, to get this close to usurping the EPL's favourite ones, well, what a crock of shite.
That said, there's way more to life than football, yippee!
We need to change formation to suit him though.
ReplyDeleteSterling or Balotelli with him up front
Coutinho in behind
Amen. Sturridge is our main man and street lengths better than Sterling as a striker.
ReplyDeletePoor goalkeeping though
ReplyDeleteI have always been here. You do not pay enough attention.
ReplyDeleteHe is always trying to copy the tiki taka from spain. But he has failed to understand that such a style needs serious discipline, quick thinking and star players like Messi, Iniesta etc.
ReplyDeleteThis is very flamboyant style of football until and unless have stars in their playing 11.
Bye Bye Rodgers . You have wasted our 3 years. A new story of re building will start now . Psst..Boring..
I hope FSG get some one from Bundesliga ..Preferably a German Coach with reputation and a serious ambition.
Exactly.
ReplyDeleteInstead of Balotelli we should have bought Lacazette
instead of Lallana we could ahve bought Firmino
instead of Lovren we could ahve bought Schar.
i dont mind Moreno and Can though
Logan just licks his lips when Liverpool play badly - great chance to make lots of ridicolous statements on here. He's been quiet the last few weeks and now he's back with a bang. I know he 'follows' Liverpool but not sure who he 'supports'.
ReplyDeleteYour presuming that these pkayers actually wanted to play for us
ReplyDeleteStop overreacting .
ReplyDeleteLets give BR time. He needs to reflect this summer and maybe 5 new buys and a few academy guys and we will challenge for league next season.
I remember the game, the 07/08 season CL first leg. He had Gerrard as left mid in the 4. Gerrard asisted Kuyt with a lovely jinky run and slide across box for Dirky boy.
ReplyDeleteSteady
ReplyDeleteTrue but Sturridge deserves more respect.
ReplyDeleteThe man who is to blame is Ian Ayre
ReplyDeleteif Ayre signed Sanchez and Salah
we would not be in this mess
Love the fans hold Balo back
ReplyDeleteBIG RED BUTTON ALERT !
ReplyDeleteall due respect, with what he contributed previously in the game, and by forcing sterling into a non threatening role, he would have been better on the bench, coming on for last 25 minutes to score that goal.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe while the game is still on, you bring this quote out of the woodwork with a quote basically backing Van Gaal and United. They have underperformed all season and Van Gaal has wasted more money than Rodgers. Yes United have been better the last 2 games and may well go on to make the Top 4.
ReplyDeleteBut to bring this out while game is still on and the team you are supposed to support still has a chance. Even by you, I'd amazed. I'm sure you are excited to write lots of 'I told you so' articles in the coming days.
