Mamadou Sakho, Tiago Ilori and Victor Moses are yet to be officially announced as Liverpool's newest signings, but all three players are at Anfield right now watching the Reds take on Manchester United.

Sakho and Ilori successfully passed medicals on Saturday afternoon, and the duo will reportedly cost Liverpool £23m.

Victor Moses - who cost Chelsea £10m last summer - will sign on a season-long loan deal, though it remains to be seen whether his contract will include an option to buy.

Here are the club's new signings at Anfield today:

  7. I think Moses will feature regularly for Liverpool, he can give us a much different look. Pace from Sturridge, guile and trickery from Suarez, power from Moses with Coutinho playing the anchor role in his best position. I don't think he's here to make up numbers, he's a player bought for 10 million last summer, he's got a ton of PL experience ... I can see him pushing for a starting spot, especially with Suarez a few games away from coming back.

  8. Their was talk of a Sunderland loan, and he wasn't in the team or bench? It ask questions about his future

  9. Superb character today and you can see the spirit and togetherness in the team. Sturridge and defence were immense

  10. Agree...defense were the men of the match.

  11. Nice to see them in the crowd. Hopefully Glen`s injury isnt to bad. All good additions, so that will help boast the squad, and now they have a few weeks to settle before the next game, which is a great thing. Srktyel played well today, and Toure has been playing really well to, so def some selection headaches to come for BR, but better to have them than not.

Great win today too. 3 wins out of 3 games, and we have a winnable run of games coming up, so if we can keep this up, hopefully that will build belief and we can go from there.

Suarez is a amazing player, but I`m so split on if I want him back in the team. He will add more quality, but currently we look to have a great team spirit, which I dont want to lose.

  12. After a long drawn out window and being linked with every name under the sun we've identified a problem area.In SAKHO and ILLORI we've brought in top quality youngsters.
ILLORI who impressed me in the U20 tournament a few weeks ago is more of a ball playing CB whereas SAKHO relatively experienced for someone so young is more of the combative type.
I feel a bit sorry for TOURE because he made a great start to his LFC career but gets injured and now will find himself coming off the bench to get minutes. But defensive reinforcements were needed.
I think our double swoop will make RAFA happy.MARTIN SRKTEL who i still think is a decent CB will go before the window shuts.I hope we push interested clubs to buy.We should put on our poker face and not act desperate to get rid or the best we can hope for is him going out on loan.

  13. I don't get the impression that Rodgers would let Suarez in the squad if it was bad for the team. It's either 100% for the team or nothing. He'll come around, it would make no sense for him to continue to sulk. And the players understand his situation, at least it seems that way from their public comments. I think most players understand transfers a different way than fans, it's not the same for them. They understand that a player only gets a few good years to be at their best and any of them would want the same opportunities, if perhaps most would not go about it the same way that Suarez did.

I'm just wondering when we get to say "I told you so" to Jamie. Maybe we should wait until the window is closed.

  14. Absolutely. Johnson in particular was brilliant today. Where does he get his energy from? Love going into the break on a result like that. Happy days.

  15. I knew it, borini has joined sunderland on loan!

  16. well done lads. Something i haven't felt since Rafa is that we can defend a lead for a long time. We have done it three times this season. Last season we showed towards the end we can score for fun, this season we have the mental strength to defend. Not one to get my hopes up but it is very positive stuff

  17. Has it been confirmed?? or is it a rumour being banded around..

  18. just now? quite happy with that, loan moves can do wonders for players. maybe that means Moses will be a back up striker? FSG defo have a wage limit and they are just balancing the books.

  19. He already has gone. Sunderland comfimed by a Italian journalist :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Not by liverpool yet, but should be soon.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hasn't been confirmed by the club yet, but should be soon, also no, means another striker will be coming into the club :)

  22. We still need to score more goals, even though we're winning, but, still a lead of one goal isn't what we can save all the time. I think there are a lot of great players that are going to feature in upcoming matches such as Suarez, Sakho, Toure, Cissokho, Moses, Illori etc. The start couldn't be better for the season that this and hope we can base on it and go on to rock the premier league to its core. Am on cloud 9 after this win, I freaked out at the end of the match lol :D

  23. Respected journalist tweeted Matteo Bonetti (@TheMilanGuy) tweeted at 4:01pm - 1 Sep 13:

Sunderland have taken Fabio Borini on a loan. Not a permanent signing.

  24. who you thinking? would be well happy with that, damiao???? think when Suarez is back he will take iagos place

    ReplyDelete
  25. It makes sense. Right now he can't get a look in at Liverpool and his confidence is fading by the minute. He needs to go to a team that can give him solid minutes, help him find some goals. Tough year for the kid, he's better than what we've seen. I'd like to see him have a good year somewhere else and come back to push for a spot at Liverpool again.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think their is something in the damiao talk, but we will have to see :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Totally agree mate

    ReplyDelete
  28. Too right, very underrated! I really hope we have an option to buy!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Considering Sturridge apparently has some injury issues still, glad we're getting in some cover.

    ReplyDelete
  30. we need one more striker as Sturridge keeps getting injured and Borini is on his way out

  31. Is anyone else having problems with their comments showing up today or is this special treatment reserved for me only?
JK by the time my comments show everyone would've moved on from the last two topics which defeats the purpose of me posting!

  32. think today we seen hendo stepping up in to Stevies boots. wed done hendo

  33. fantastic result today ..my top 3 where skirtal sturridge and hendo...i thought skirtal was outstanding and never put a foot wrong id play him with sahko in the next game...special mention also for jose at left back everyone knocks him but he was superb in defense today .....in midfield i thought hendo and gerrard where immense but lucas is starting to give away daft free kicks and possession a facet of his game i thought he had improved....in attack aspas did nothing and tino needs to pass the ball quicker ...but cant complain overall

    ReplyDelete
  34. Oops !
Still, it was said with conviction....

  35. Good job Brendan Rodgers and FSG bring in top quality and attack the Top 4 positions like the bosses we are!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Couldn't agree more, he is very energetic like a young Stevie G!

  37. Did anyone hear the songs at Anfield today?
    1. Cleverly is shit and shit and shit (repeat)
    2. Danny Welbeck, you think Anfield is a swimming pool? DIVING PRICK OH DIVING PRICK.
    #legendary chants

  38. Lori, sakho, toure(had at great start to lfc),skrtel(played amazing today)and agger.Who are we going to play at cb?!?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Agger and Sakho for most games

    ReplyDelete
  40. We have enough Cover until Suarez's is back

    ReplyDelete
  41. He's started the season very well. Got more confidence.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Moses didn't look too impressed.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Re Moses, I recall seeing an infographic about a half year or so prior to Chelsea transfer, he was either 2nd or 3rd in league for successful dribbles. He def has great ball control. I think he'll fit right in. In fact I think his arrival is 1.5 year too late. I sensed we wanted him prior but I think we were only willing to go no more than 5-6. Was surprised to hear he went for 10. But typ Chelsea deep pockets-thanks sugar daddy. --- Our transfer biz has been quite good lately. Moses can find the net and he can create. I'm becoming proud of our team/squad. Feels like everyone were keeping is capable of chipping in rather than taking up space. Gotta say it-I like BR.

  44. You would hope so. With Sturridge on 70% and Suarez still away for two more games, you wouldn't want to be overreliant on Yesil, Morgan and Sinclair would you? I would still like to see Jelle Vossen of Genk but he picked up an injury last night.

  45. I'm going to go so far as saying this, Brendan Rodgers wants to win the EPL this year. He's not going to publicly state that but he is keeping his councel and not getting carried away. This season is the best chance of any season with the loss of Sir Alex from Man United. The addition of Sakho is in my opinion very key to Liverpool's season. Sakho will give Liverpool the kind of strength in defence that Kompany gives to Man City, that Ferdinand and Vidic give to Man Utd, that Terry gives to Chelsea. Team I'd like to see;
    GK: Mignolet
    RB: Johnson
    CB: Sakho, Toure
    LB: Enrique
    Defensive Midfield: Ilori
    Center Midfield: Gerrard
    Attacking Midfield: Coutinho
    LW: Moses
    Strikers: Suarez, Sturridge
For me that starting 11 only lacks playing time together, but that 11 could meet the physical challenges of the big games allied to the creativity to break down many opposition teams. Putting Ilori in instead of Lucas sounds crazy but the lad is lightening quick and that is something that we lack in that area of the park where we can be susceptible to fast breaking teams like Arsenal and Villa. With Ilori in there, plus the pace of Sakho, Toure, Johnson and Enrique, the team that can fast break on them would have to be a team of very quick sprinters.

  46. Great signings at last quality comes in and he has weeded out the weak links in the squad.Still question Lucas as he is too inclined to give away dangerous free kicks with his terrible positioning and lack fo pace .Now we have better players competing for places .Hope we can be in with a shout for fourth at last things are looking up and good to see Suarez staying.
