Earlier this week, Liverpool legend John Aldridge voice the thoughts of many Reds fans when he described the collapse of the Henrikh Mkhitaryan transfer as a 'blow' to the club. For a few tantalising weeks, it seemed that Brendan Rodgers would definitely pull of a major transfer coupe, but alas, it wasn't to be. The Armenian signed for Borussia Dortmund instead, and in a press conference yesterday, he shed some light on his decision to snub Liverpool.
Speaking to reporters, Mkhitaryan - who cost Dortmund €27.5m - told Eurosport:
“Liverpool have a great past, but Borussia Dortmund has a great present.
“I made this decision with my heart. I have followed the Bundesliga in Ukraine and I know the standard is very high. I’m looking forward to it.
“I’m not worried about the transfer fee – I hope Dortmund don’t regret a cent of it.”
Clearly, Dortmund's Champions League status is a major attraction to Mkhitaryan, and that's entirely understandable, and until the Reds are able to compete on the same level, signings of this calibre may continue to be an elusive dream.
When all is said and done, Dortmund took ACTION. They made an offer, and showed that they WANTED Mkhitaryan. Shakhtar Chief Executive Sergi Palkin confirmed last week that Liverpool failed to make bid, and holding out in the hope of getting the midfielder on the cheap obviously didn't work, and probably sent the wrong message to the player.
You've got to be in it to win it, and who knows what might've happened if Liverpool had matched Dortmund's offer?

But Mkhitaryan said that "Liverpool have a great past but Dortmund has a great present"
ReplyDeleteThat should suggest that he chose Dortmund over LFC meaning we did make a bid otherwise he would have not mentioned chosing Dortmund over LFC..
Usual from Ayre and FSG... They want everything on the cheap... Unfortunately if you want the player, you have to pay the fee... Looks like top signings are a thing of the past
ReplyDeleteAgree. If not an actual bid, we must of at least made contact with the player and his agent, and discussed personal terms.
ReplyDeletedoesn't really surprise me that much that the never even put a bid in, we will always lose out on transfers if you piss about trying to get a quality player on the cheap, just hope they have learnt a lesson, but I doubt it
ReplyDeleteYou may be right, but based on available facts, there is no evidence that LFC made a bid. Plus, Palkin stated that LFC had specifically not made a bid.
ReplyDeleteJust shows what a transfer coup it was to convince Suaréz to join us.
ReplyDeleteOr we made it known to him that we were interested in signing him, but he then told us that he would only move to a CL club. Why put in a bid then.
ReplyDeletehave said for ages fsg are cheap skates and i think after this transfer window more fans will see it,if we sell suarez i do not thiink we will see a marque signing, just cheap potential ,or ,chancy players
ReplyDeleteAlexey Yaroshevsky reported that he wanted to join Liverpool until BVS came knocking, after which he has made it clear who he wants to join.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying you should listen to every report out there, but this guy was pretty honest with what he knew and has risked a lot(and some will say lost a lot) with those reports. He's also a die-hard LFC fan.
the whole point is that we should have acted quickly and swiftly...because we wouldn't be in the running if
ReplyDelete1. a champions league team came knocking
2. any other team in the world bid higher.
I think what palkin was trying to say was you had your chance and blew it
ReplyDeletea die hard lfc fan who did not want to play for the club do not make me laugh ,
ReplyDeletemarty you are right m8 your post will get a few down votes thou by the fans living in denial
ReplyDeleteI think he said The Die Hard LFC Fan is Alexey Yaroshevsky ;)
ReplyDeleteI think he meant Alexey Yaroshevsky is a die-hard LFC fan
ReplyDeleteI think his comments said all there was to say about the matter. Dortmund were a better fit for him. We couldn't compete in the position we're in so best to know when to move on. We're not what we were, our targets will have to adjust accordingly. I say set up a fiefdom in South America.
ReplyDeleteYes, he clearly implied that he had a choice between Liverpool and Borussia. But the Liverpool franchise is much much stronger than Borussia. Liverpool has a huge world wide base of die hard fans and he can be a household name worldwide which can translate into lucrative endorsements and advertisements contracts.
ReplyDeleteOf course Liverpool the present, is nothing to shout about but still the fan base is there and its a matter of time before we get back into the top 4, hopefully sooner than later. Now that Mkhitaryan is not available, we should just move on to the next target and be quicker and firmer with the bids.
In any case, I have not heard of him before this, so I don't think he is such a big loss. Playing in the EPL is a whole different ball game compared to the Ukranian league. and German league.
i agree with Doron there are a lot of die hard liverpool fan-player , that we did not make them feel wanted enough , dempsey,toby,erikson....
ReplyDeleteAll the figures . ALL of them. 3rd highest NET spend in the PL.
ReplyDeleteGive it a rest.
Actually, don't. If £20m + net spend per season , 3rd highest behind Chelsea and Man City is cheap, then FSG are cheap.
Not as cheap as Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, etc etc though.
We would have signed him if BVB hadn't been if for him. He chose CL finalists, and I can't say I blame him.
do i think we made a bid maybe, but it would have been one that they knew would get refused ,cannot wait for the excuses when the window closes ,we tried to sign this player and that player(but unfortunatly they refused our bid of a packet of crisps and a panda pop)but we tried honest same old sh1te fsg talk big infact they promised they could compete for any player in the world .but have not delivered in the slightest
ReplyDeleteAnd his co owners, without whom even Shaktar couldn't accept a bid.
ReplyDeletewhy should they need to feel to be wanted ,i would walk to anfield over broken glass to sign, and dempsey had nothing to do withnot feeling wanted it was fsg trying to sign him cheaply ,that cost him his place ,no loss thou,
ReplyDeleteI don't get it, what's wrong for paying the lowest possible price for a player? If Comolli did that then we would probably have been able to compete a bit better in the market this season. I think people need to stop getting so hung up on Ayre and FSG. Players will come to LFC because they want to play for LFC, regardless, and if they don't, we don't want them...simples.
ReplyDeleteTrue....true. Hey yo Dukeeeey...
ReplyDeletethey are cheap m8 end of ,and the fact is they are getting cheaper and cheaper
ReplyDeleteJesus like people bitch and moan when we over paid for Carroll downing and Henderson but those prices were "the fee". People just love to complain, he went to the team that was runner up in the champions lge and we finished 7th of course he went to them how u can blame ayre and fsg I just don't know. Always with this bashing but never thoughts based in reality
ReplyDeleteAs cheap as say....£35m for a worthless donkey? Or as cheap as £20m for a toothless winger? Oh wait no as cheap as ......I could go on
ReplyDeletethe amount of fans on here settling for any old sh1te is sickening i some times wonder if they are lfc fans or fsg employees ,just trying to smooth the passage into mediocracy
ReplyDeleteI don't think we made a bid but we defo made contact/showed interest
ReplyDeleteThe amount of fans on here that talk utter b*llocks about who we SHOULD be getting is laughable.lol
ReplyDeletelook m8 why do you always go on about kennys signing have you just become a fan you draining me dont post me again
ReplyDeletetypical back up your claim?oh wait you can't. Moan moan moan
ReplyDeletelol....What are you Kenny's lakky? I'm pulling up facts here, if you don't want anyone to reply....don't post ...simple
ReplyDeleteu wouldn't walk over broken glasses if u were an ambitious footballer..the whole football biz. is like a job . if u work in a small IT firm and u hard a bigger offer in a new country with 10* your annual salary will u say u love ur old office so much. Name 3 players who loved a club who wanted to sign him that he decided to wave 90% of his salary just to get signed .why do people think footballers are also not as ambitious us.incredible.
ReplyDeleteApart from £37.4m NET spend in 11/12 and the £50.2m NET spend in 12/13 you mean? (source transfermarket .co .uk
ReplyDeleteOh and before you say, even with Torres' £50m fee the season before, the still only had £2m net left over that year.
Your statement is just plain wrong about the past actions of FSG. We will see if you're any better at predicting the next few years, cos you've predicted ALL along no spend remember.
a deadly coup for our club IMO
ReplyDeleteon another subject MAN URE match if anybody is going with there kids 16 or under i have a free 3 course meal going in the boot room after the match for 1 adult and to children,if the vouchers are seperate from the tickets i can give them to you before the match if its on the ticket after the match
ReplyDeleteWe are FSG employees, and we are coming to get you Jason
ReplyDeleteno m8 i predicted about 20 million some thing that a lot of clubs will nearly spend on one player
ReplyDeleteNot for me, but very good of you to offer the guys this Jason. Good Man.
ReplyDeletelet them come they will get short change of me ,and a piece of my mind
ReplyDeleteA lot of clubs? How many have done so this year?
ReplyDeletebetter than wasting them, lol someone will enjoy it ,doing the pre match thing against palace
ReplyDeletelol quite few will before the window closes ,and i doubt we will be one even if we sell suarez
ReplyDeleteyeah lets go out and spend massive amounts be a plastic club like chelsea , lol , simply we dont have the money , buy and develop young talent is the way to go its not about next year its for the years past that , the first priority is to get the wage bill down at liverpool , it was sitting at 70 percent just in wages itself , cut that down and then you can afford to spend more money later on ,were still paying for past mistakes in over spending so i back fsg and rogers all the way in what they are trying to do
ReplyDeletesorry m8 there is only so much money you can spend ,if he was a die hard lfc fan he would have fore fulled his dream ,
ReplyDeletebrainwashed simply brainwashed
ReplyDeleteno iam not kennys lakky ,and you would know what a lakky is
ReplyDeleteThere were only 3 over £20m last year TOTAL. RVP was one, pretty much the only major ManUre signing, plus Oscar and Hazard by Chelsea.
ReplyDeleteEven Man City didn't go over £17m . And we paid nearly that for your whip[ping boy Allen.
So again, why do you keep making out as though £20m+ signings are being made by loads of clubs, when last year there were only 2 ?
Damn straight, I'm an LFC lakky lol.
ReplyDeleteCos FSG paid for them. Kenny and Comolli paid too much. FSG paid for it all.
ReplyDeleteHaha that's like part of my Anfield dream to go there and here you are giving it away :P Good gesture though. If we beat United I'm sure you'd wanna celebrate with a free three course meal anyways
ReplyDeletea lot will depend on which clubs need to improve ,to keep there fans happy so we do not need to bother as the majority of lfc fans (going by this site )are happy and except we are a buissness and our owners deserve a good divident ,the results do not matter anymore ,i will try and keep telling myself that the next time the tv goes through
ReplyDeleteI hate all these third parties and stuff. More and more players are part owned by them. Very interesting business wise, but annoying football wise.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
ReplyDeletehave not got the time m8,otherwise i would
ReplyDeleteIf Ian Ayre et al were playing the waiting game to see if we were going to get HK cheaper then clearly this strategy was not only naive but it also showed an apathy beyond comprehension that should not go unnoticed nor unpunished!
ReplyDeleteBusy man :)
ReplyDeletewhat with the loan they took out against the club lol
ReplyDeleteno just cannot be bothered that day and want to get home to celebrate lol
ReplyDeleteThing is, I think people fail to understand the absolute shocking mess the club was left in. People expect that we will immediately be able to a) Bid for and attract superstar players and b) Get straight in the Champions League.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing really, as other teams that suffered similar problems went into free-fall.
Jamie I read this headline and thought it may shed some light on where we went wrong in this deal but once again as with all the multitude of articles about the Mkhitaryan to Liverpool transfer there is just speculation with no cold hard facts. Unless I have missed something I don't ever remember any comments coming from Ayre, Rodgers or anyone else currently working for Liverpool fc confirming we where actually trying to sign Mkhitaryan. On this basis why does that mean we where waiting to try and get him on the cheap? He clearly fits into the ethos of young, talented and with sell on value that FSG have so I have no doubt that if BR truly wanted him we would have bid for him. Is it all based on the fact he said they have a great present and we have a great past? Well I'm sorry but I don't believe we any of it.
ReplyDeleteAs a life long Liverpool fan it really cheeses me off when people who allegedly love the club look to put a negative spin on the club particularly with no evidence to back it up. I for one will always back the club, the manager and the players as I am Liverpool through and through. No player is bigger than Liverpool FC and if they don't want to play for us then good luck to them I won't be losing any sleep over it.
But Carr, is it a personal vendetta against FSG, or what? Tell me how many players in the world cannot be bought by 35m. That figure was actually sanctioned by FSG, yes, we had 50m for Torres but how many sane businessmen can give you 35m for ANDY CARROLL? Andy Carroll was a gamble, Torres wasn't so on a Chelsea point of view, the move made sense. Why you keep bashing the owners for more reasonable purchases, I don't understand considering the work going on at Anfield also.
ReplyDeleteWe bought big once and got nowhere whatsoever, now let us think more like rational people
maybe it was all dependent on the suarez sale and they got tied of waiting,if so why contact them ,it would hardly make the player feel valued ,yes hk we really really want you but we have not got the money and we are not sure if we will have soory you burned you bridges with you club and fans ,but if you wait we will try to force the price down ,and obviuosly if any other clubs come out and meet the price refuse to go lol
ReplyDeletethey employed the men to gamble with there money its there fault they cannot blame there own desision making on the fans ,and expect us to pay for it
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get this from? Or you made it up?:)
ReplyDeleteI don't want to say this, but KD can hardly be called one of their preferences. On that account, I'd give them a plus for actually listening to the fans. It turned out bad and lessons were learnt, now lets give them a chance too.
ReplyDeleteThat could have Palkin who kept on driving the price up.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Mkhitaryan also say "I made this decision with my heart"? If we did not make a bid he would not have had any decision to make between Liverpool and Dortmund.
Whoever thinks we did not make a bid is really is not making any sense. Why would we go through about 3 or more weeks of trouble just to show interest in Mkhitaryan?
ReplyDeleteHe states that he made a decision between Liverpool and Dortmund. The only way he could have made a decision is for a deal to be on the table? Yes, no?
Clueless, absolutely clueless.
ReplyDeleteThat is you.
I do not understand why failing to sign a player who prefers to join another club is a "blow" for the team.
ReplyDeleteWell, he is the most exciting player to watch we have had for many, many years. I don't buy into this "he damages our reputation" stuff at all. Our reputation with the media wasn't good before anyway and Suaréz is not as bad as, say, Barton, and he also has, as said before, much, much more to offer footballing wise. Yes, I would see it differently, if he was a poor player, and no, I don't condone his non-football actions.
ReplyDeletewhen they bought the club we were supposed to be debt free, now we are not
ReplyDeletethey hired him and they sacked him it was there choice lol
ReplyDeleteHistory won't win us a trophy or CL football, ask Wolves, Preston North End or Newcastle.
ReplyDeleteWhen what? I asked a simple question where did you get this from?
ReplyDeletesorry i started to reply realised it was you and did not bother
ReplyDeletePoor excuse. I put it down as you made it up :)
ReplyDeletesorry but why the f"ck is spearing starting rodgers dose not rate him so whys he playing him waste of time
ReplyDeleteHe's playing at right back too
ReplyDeleteThis is Preseason Jason and some players will be in the shop window.
ReplyDeleteYou seriously need to catch a wake up.
I hope like hell we really DID make a bid for HK because if we were waiting for Suarez deal to clarify, we are going to miss out on some REAL players. I loved what LS did for us and wish he would stay. That said, FSG and BR need to stay on the Offense getting guys they want.
ReplyDeleteDeebo,
ReplyDeleteI think you are on to something. Man U got chi chariot from Mexico. Do not know if LFC have scouts in South America. It's a big world but today that's what it takes.......
I'm a died hard lfc fan and if lfc and bvb came knocking and said we want you, I would sign for bvb. as player you play to win, being a young player it's about getting trophies and playing against the best maybe later in your career you sign at your boyhood club. But fact is lfc are not challenging for the most coveted trophies right now. it puts us a step back in the transfer market. But it doesn't mean we cannot find talent just as good it is just going to be relatively unknown and cheaper. it might be more hit and mis. But we as fans have to be patient.
ReplyDeleteit was not an excuse i do not like posting to you full stop
ReplyDeleteyou may never get the chance again ,
ReplyDeleteeverybody knows hes for sale do you think 45 mins against preston playing out of position is going to make one bit of difference ,we have plenty of players staying at the club who could have played,1 more thing talk down to me again you f"cking a$$hole and i will track you down you are really starting to get on my nerves ,
ReplyDeleteI am quivering.
ReplyDeleteSomebody save me from Jason :-o
I don't agree with that assessment at all. There is no evidence to suggest the club didn't make the proper efforts. I think this is a case of fans being frustrated precisely because they DON'T know what has happened in this instance. To then start speculating as to why the transfer didn't happen ... well the player just explained it didn't he? No one here is privy to the discussions that did or did not happen between LFC and Dortmund, the player or his agent. Thinking we know what happened based on a handful of cagey quotes from the Shakthar president is very speculative. That the player mentions LFC at all suggests that we were clearly in the mix, but anything beyond that is pure guess work, so why insist on a negative spin?
ReplyDeleteAspas looking good. Great control on him.
ReplyDeleteHis heart set on the move to liverpool before he knews that BVB interested on him..we were linking with him around 2 months but BVB made everything concluded within 2 weeks..its MONEYBALL policy of our CULPRIT FSG...They are going to destroy this historic club..take my words
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with you. He may never get another chance. But a player is judged overall by his medals and accolades. not his team name. He has a career to think about one he wants to excel in, right now the pastures are greener at bvb. I think lfc might be moving in the same direction as bvb once did. But who knows. I for one can't wait for the new season, there is a lot of change across the board and I think we fight for fourth or fifth.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yeah so going to wreck us when they DO spend money on our team.
ReplyDeleteI think FSG are trying to do business from Daniel Levy to get everything on the cheap as much as possible but then Daniel Levy comes and pips them every god damn time. Can't blame HM to prefer Dortmund over us because of the present hope we do make it to the CL next year and don't lose out on more such kind of players.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty happy Levt pipped us to Sigurdsson and Dempsey.
ReplyDeleteWe made better sigings in Coutinho and Sturridge.
Jason Carr mark 2
ReplyDeleteMax, please stop with the snide comments directed at JC. Same goes for JC and Liverpool4life. All further antagonistic comments (from anyone) will be deleted.
ReplyDeleteJaimie, can you really blame any of us having a go at Jason?
ReplyDeleteHe deserves all the stick he gets. Maybe you should have a word with Jason about showing some respect in his post towards the club, Allen and posters others this site.
In life you get what you give. End of.
As long as there's no personal/sniping element, posters can be critical of the club/individual players to their heart's content here. If you disagree, argue against the views presented, but do so in a civil manner, not with snide comments. If you see someone insult another poster, flag it or contact me directly and I'll take action. If somone repeatedly states a view you dislike (i.em JC with Joe Allen), then just ignore it, or challenge him (politely) to justify his stance with reasons/stats etc.
ReplyDeleteThis constant bickering has to stop as it's having a negative impact on the atmosphere of the comment section, and there's no way I'm going to let that to continue.
We could very well have made contact with the player, shown him what we had to offer, discussed personal terms, but not made an official bid for the player, Dortmund could have done the same and he chose them over us, leading Dortmund to make an official offer. This makes a lot of sense and is also very plausible. And technically, he doesn't state that he made a choice. If we look at the words, he does not say Liverpool made a bid for him. His quote could so very easily be taken out of context. It is also plausible that we were interested and once we found out about the third party involved, we pulled out and all the rest is the media making up stories to sell newspapers.
ReplyDeleteLol, really? They paid overprice for players when KD was in charge, they have been bitten by that. Now, they are not being held to ransom, this is very smart.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with this idea that they were trying to get him "on the cheap".
ReplyDeleteLFC never presented an offer.
I'm assuming LFC were interested but not so much to the point where we even offered.
One credit I will give to our scouting group & ownership is that they place a value on players and they don't overpay for them.
Some fans may not like this, but it's a prudent approach, provided that it's accurate. If we consistently undervalue players then that is a problem. But it seems to me that the bigger problem was placing a value on players and then paying above that (or simply overvaluing them in the first place). That includes Carroll, Downing, Adam, Allen, etc.
Some folks may not like it, and that's their opinion. But taking this approach will ensure that we don't put ourselves in financial straits going forward.
We would not have been allowed to talk to the player and discussed personal terms without making a bid to his owners first.
ReplyDeleteThose are the rules.
There was no bid for him made by LFC, Shaktar's director said that himself, so how am I not making any sense? Showing interest and making an official bid are two entirely different things. Just because the tabloids were spreading BS doesn't make it true.
ReplyDeletePrecisely. In the absence of irrefutable proof of a given assertion, it's reasonable to rely on the closest thing to factual evidence. In this case, a CEO has publicly stated that LFC made no offer. That is far more persuasive than unverifiable speculation.
ReplyDeleteYeah, he did but then we're being linked Sigurdsson again so watch out. I hope they only learn the art of getting maximum money from the club buying their players.
ReplyDeleteOn another website people were calling Ian Ayre all sorts of names, because Dortmund have signed Mkhitaryan. The intellectual level of some Liverpool (or football) supporters seems to have stopped developing in kinder-garden.
ReplyDeleteAh, you bought that kind of ticket. How much was it?
ReplyDeleteBy that logic you would be an employee of Hick and Gillett :-)
ReplyDeleteAndrew - with respect, the scope of this article is simply to convey Mkhitaryan's views on why he snubbed LFC. I don't think the headline implies, hints or suggests an exploration of why they deal went south.
ReplyDeleteim with jamie. we fannied about.
ReplyDeleteNo proof a bid was made though. More likely, Liverpool asked the players agent, if it was worth a shot.
ReplyDeleteYou do know what net spend is right?
ReplyDeleteThat initial outlay on s#%te was all set out in the takeover, they were always going to spend big in the first summer window. There hasn't been big spending since. Literally small transfer budget plus money from sales. Which has been wasted mostly on rubbish.
ReplyDeleteBuy and develop young talent. Lol. For the likes of Chelsea to come and lure away. Because that's the reality, if we don't buy top players and get back up there. A profitable top 10 ten side, isn't the way forward.
ReplyDeleteYes thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt's what you get when you spend £59m on Allen Assaidi , Borini, Sturridge, Yesil and Coutinho, plus £4m on a Sahin loan, then only get £9m back on Adam, Aquilani Kuyt and £1m on a Carroll loan.
Do you?
He just doesn't understand the basic business difference between allowing a debt or loss to stand, in this case mainly costs associated with the failed stadium build, and leveraging a loan like Hicks and Gillete did and making the club pay the interest and payments.
ReplyDeleteI would hazard a guess that Jason never ran his own business. He doesn't know any better. FSG have never taken a dividend from LFC. The club runs at a loss.
Net spend was £50.2m last season
Cheapskates.
The German league is miles ahead of the EPL. Just look at the players that are moving their Simply because the EPL has more exposure doesn't mean it's better. You only have to look at the quality of German players and English ayers to realize this. At least 50% of the teams are made by homegrown players so taking that into account the German teams are far superior at this point in time compared to the English.
ReplyDeleteI did not meant the EPL is better than the German league. Yes, I agree with you - the German league is away ahead of the EPL. But in the EPL, the game is at a faster pace, more physical and players are closed down quickly and players like Mkhitaryan will not have time to strut their skills.
ReplyDeleteThe EPL is a difficult league to play in but not a better league.
Sorry if my comment has been misconstrued let me clear it up, It was your assumption Liverpool were trying to get the player on the cheap that got to me not what the player said. Since FSG took over the only player I can honestly remember them trying to get on the cheap was Dempsey & thank god that didn't work
ReplyDeletei ran my own business for over ten years m8 so you guessed wrong
ReplyDeletesorry m8 but they can keep there medals to play for the club you love is the greatest thing
ReplyDeletejust short of £800 for the man ure match and palace match,1adult 2 kids for man ure 1 adult 3 kids for palace ,i think the adut ticket for man ure was about £280 of the top of my head ,but could not get man ure tickets without booking another game
ReplyDeletekey board warrior
ReplyDeleteOnly over exageratted prices a bit then, lol. And you missed out other loans out, spearing etc. Id say a net spend of 12 million in the summer. Then after the American tax year had finished in december. They were able to invest again in January.
ReplyDeletePresuming LFC had a genuine interest in the player and did indeed want to sign him (and we don't know this for certain), I would have to agree with Jamie, however agents are very good at manipulation and leaking snippets of info to get what they want for their clients, using this approach to their advantage they are able to inflate the price of players by creating auction like bidding wars, thankfully LFC were not drawn into one over this player.
ReplyDeleteDon't be so naive, of course clubs talk to players they are interested in first, or more so their agents to get a feel of the player's preferences, if the player is open to the move, they will make a bid, otherwise they won't.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awful lot of money. Hope you can enjoy the matches then. Did the club ask you to buy another ticket to get one for the Manure match or did you buy elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteWe showed lot of action and determination in signing Downings and Carrolls. Good lord, we are in the market with money and sense this time around after years of stupidity, and you people wants to go back the old way.
ReplyDeletenext season lfc become top 1 or 4 YNWA
ReplyDeleteBrendan Rodgers:"There has been lots of players linked but the fact is we really only had one (top target) and unfortunately we didn't get the chance to speak to that player before he moved from Shakhtar. We had spoken to Shakhtar, we had got permission to speak to him but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to sit down in front of him," Rodgers explained."It was already in place with Dortmund so that was disappointing. I always feel that if I can get in front of the player, I can sell the club and what our project is here. Hopefully that is exciting for the players. So (missing out on Mkhitaryan) is the only disappointment. I believe there will be others,"
ReplyDelete
