Liverpool have been linked with Lille central defender Aurélien Chedjou several times this year, and last night, he made it clear that he would love a summer transfer to Anfield.
In an interview with TMW, the 27-year old Cameroon international said:
"There has been no agreement with other clubs, but it is true that I want to leave Lille to have a new experience.
"It would be a great honor to play for Liverpool, which is such a prestigious club with the fantastic fans. "
The £12m-rated Cameroon international is also wanted by Newcastle United.
Chedjou - who has made 31 appearances this season - recently signed a new contract with Lille that ties him to the club until 2016, and after the extension, the Ligue One club posted the following glowing endorsement on its official website:
"He [Chedjou] is one of the driving forces of Lille. His athletic power, remarkable technique, his sense of position, anticipation and recovery have made him a leading player."
Another possible option to replace Jamie Carragher...?

i saw article(from eurosport) about we linked KOLO TOURE on free transfer how true it that?? is it totally baseless ??? i hope not true
ReplyDeleteI rather suspect that they signed a new contract with him and then began to praise him excessively so as to inflate his price. He would be useful for a couple to three years but only at about £6-7M at most.
ReplyDeleteand 16m done deal for andy as well...
ReplyDeleteI more concern on andy deal. Really? I haven't heard anything about it.
ReplyDeleteKolo Toure on a free transfer ? Welcome to the big time of being a mid table club guys !!
ReplyDeletegood to see us linked to players other clubs with top four hopes are after,or are newcastle hoping to survive next season ,please god lets get some real talent this summer and compete for the best not just players that the big clubs do not want
ReplyDeleteI hope its not true as well. Kolo Toure is way past his prime, I wouldn't mind Liverpool signing him if he was 3 years younger. I remember how Sterling on his full debut troubled Kolo Toure. He has no pace left and I dont see any hunger in him either. He will demand high wages as well, makes no sense to me. He will probably go to a club like Galatasaray or Fenerbache.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we can find a diamond in a coal mine. Coutinho was not wanted at Inter Milan. WE GOT THE BEAST IN HIM!!
ReplyDeletei dunno y city let him go? just to him to they new MSL team...
ReplyDeletecoutinho was young this player is well on with his carear the diamond would have been found long ago and 5 players at 10million is 50million you could buy to class players for that ,i know which i would rather have
ReplyDeleteKolo Toure: One of the main components of the invincible's defense. For a free transfer, I'd love to see him here.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I have never ever heard of this player.
ReplyDeleteSorry, how long ago was that ?
