Liverpool midfielder loanee Nuri Sahin is reportedly a target for bitter rivals Manchester United.
Following the summer arrival of Robin Van Persie, Javier Hernandez's opportunities at Old Trafford are increasingly limited, and according to (dubious) reports today, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering a swap deal with Real Madrid, with Nuri Sahin going the other way to Old Trafford. According to a report today:
"The temptation to wreck Liverpool's hopes of tying up a permanent deal for on-loan star Nuri Sahin is becoming increasingly attractive [to Ferguson], following the Turkish international's recent impressive performances".
Sounds like totally made up BS to me, but stranger things have happened. Sahin is still technically a Real Madrid player, and who knows how he'd react if the opportunity arose to sign for Man United.
The sad truth is that Ferguson's team can offer him what Liverpool can't right now: Champions League football (assuming of course that United qualify for the CL this season)
Would Sahin want to go to another club where he'd probably languish on the bench most of the time though? He did that at Real Madrid; at Liverpool' he's almost certainly guaranteed to get more playing time.
Additionally, I don't see where Sahin would fit in at United; they need a strong, Keane-esque midfield enforcer, and that is not Sahin's game.
Having said all that, Sahin was linked by various sources to a move to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, so it is conceivable that United's interest is legitimate.

Good lord, NO!
ReplyDeleteHa daily star, waste of space
ReplyDeletefirst it was ozil now sahin ... BS rumours
ReplyDeleteI hate to see Man U get Nuri Sahin. In a perfect world Liverpool would come up with whatever insane amount that Mourinho wants for the transfer fee; since that may not actually happen I feel that this move may be beneficial to both parties that being United and Madrid. The only loser is ultimately Javier Hernandez who will go from not starting at United to not starting at Madrid. He won't displace Higuain or Benzema though he might find favor with "the special one" if he brings more pace to Madrid's forward line.
ReplyDeleteYou write some fucking shite articles on here.
ReplyDeleteAm a united fan, whilst I wouldn't relieve the daily star, there is also 2 stories in Spanish and Italian papers about Hernandez to RM. so there must be something there. And they tried to sign Hernandez 2 seasons ago. Whether a swap deal for sahin is in the offing i dont know. but am sure fergie would try to get him or ozil if true. Tho would be gutted to see him go.
ReplyDeletethis could be Friggerson's way of unsettling Liverpool players and jacking up their value. The d(evil) works in mysterious ways. Beware.
ReplyDelete...and still you morons don't get that this site is a manc wind- up, what will it take?
ReplyDeleteI don't think he would go because he has played for Liverpool he wouldn't go to a rival club.... Doesn't seem that type of player anyway.
ReplyDeletesurprised you don't blame 'friggerson' for WMDs
ReplyDeleteLast I checked, Sahin was a Real Mdrid player on loan to Liverpool
ReplyDeleteLiverpool has first option to buy him if Real wish to sell.
ReplyDeleteif its true and it could happen, liverpool need an agreement in place that they have first option to buy or he doesnt join utd. we are training him up in theory, for what ? also utd are more of a threat to rm ie champs league. they dont need hernandez
ReplyDeleteSorry mate but don't think "friggersons" tht fussed about Liverpool anymore that he needs to idles type players. Besides he is RM's not liverpools!
ReplyDeleteHonestly he isn't Gerrard, he has played for u for 2 months! He wouldn't have any loyalty for Liverpool over man Utd. And nor should he, he is oh on loan for 6 months! Hahahah
ReplyDeletesomeone who did this is not welcome at liverpool imo
ReplyDeletekeep him and let's buy sahin. he has a lot of potential :

havent heard that before
ReplyDeletethe comment that comes to mind is 'get real'
ReplyDeleteHernandez is the perfect striker also he its so young,I don't like to see him it may move Old Trafford
ReplyDeleteHernandez is the good striker i will unhappy when he may move to another team.........I luv u man uuuuuuuuuu.
ReplyDeleteJamie, you love rising the old shit, where do you get these stories from.
ReplyDeleteI think the point was that the swap deal would be with Real Madrid. You really think Sir Alex would want to help us with our attacking woes?? :P
ReplyDeletehe is/was a man utd fan and fergie would do anything to wreck are chances of staying in the prem, remember he not evra grassed suarez but he is on a 12mth loan deal no recall but maybe next yr
ReplyDeleteEven so, if you played for a club you wouldn't go to a rival of that club, look @ Donovan who came to Everton he said he wouldn't go to any other club accept Everton.
ReplyDeleteBe quiet, (y)
ReplyDeleteAs long as his wages are paid by Liverpool he is a Liverpool player. Next summer his price
ReplyDeletewill soar as apparent interest from manure. RM will hold for a bigger price. nuff sed
Made more sense to reply to the guy below with that big-talk.
ReplyDeleteHeinze wasn't afraid to try and push for a transfer to Liverpool
ReplyDeletenuri sahin already like BR type of football..i sure he will stay with LFC..
ReplyDeleteanyway each time liverpool is tracking a player or loaned someone SAF immediately get into the chasing list too. As if we are doing his job lol lol lo . He even cannot find someone by himself he must look who others are chasing and do same thing. Don't tell me about RVP Arsenal ia only a money maker and took your money off. ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteIF IT WAS ABOUT CHAPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBAL HE WOULDNT HAVE JOIN LFC ON LOAN IN THE FIRST PLACE HE LOVES IT AT LFC AND WOULD LIKE A PERMANENT MOVE
ReplyDeleteSome people talk some utter crap, in the name of rivalry. Yes, Ferguson won all those titles because of Liverpool's scouting network.....bloody hell
ReplyDeleteAny quotes from Sahin that he actually wants to stay at LFC permanently? He is open to staying but he is also open to staying at Real. He isn't actually going to say 'nah, I'm just here for the loan spell and thats it'. He is the doing the PC thing of keeping his cards close to his chest, as well as not wanting to make things uncomfortable for either at LFC or Real. All this talk of 'loving it' and 'would like a permanent' is just nauseous and sentimental waffle. Maybe he joined LFC, instead of Arsenal, because he didn't want a permanent move (as it is alleged Arsenal wanted only a permanent move), only a loan or it was about money.
ReplyDeletehe bloody well did, even with vidic and more importantly Ronaldo...list can go on n on.
ReplyDeleteDirty mancs n thier old tricks, Sahin ain't here for 6 months u dumbwit he is here for a year on loan. By that time we will be in the champions league and you will not simple as. Look at the way Spurs, Everton and even Southampton pissed all over you, as we did to and if it wasn't for the 12th man on the pitch against our 10 there is no way in this world you would have had 1point never mind there...so its time to get real and face the music.
ReplyDeleteLook if he had a chance to move to the Prem, he would go to liverpool as he is quoted to say he loves the club and its style of play. Lets be honest yes Man U have been good over the last 10 years, amazing infact. but the truth is there shit now. old timer Sir Alex and his team dont know how to win games, near enough all there games this season you have one with RVP scoring in the 80th or 90th minute or the 10 mins added on to your games if your losing thanks to sir alex. Sahin would move to liverpool if all the money is fine and madrid dont want him.
ReplyDeleteYou know what guess ? I like the results BR is getting :)
ReplyDeleteHave a look at the league table d*ckhead. You've finished above us once in the league in 19 years, but maybe this is 'your year'....You scousers make us laugh...
ReplyDeleteThis guy is deluded to even consider such a thing !
ReplyDeleteCan you please stop writing Kanwar . Even grocery list is too much of a task for you, you would put Suarez to United somewhere in there XD
I dont think if Sahin joined United he would warm the bench he is a fantastic talent probably just what United need.
ReplyDeleteI can see Sahin if given the choice staying with Liverpool anyway.
This is why we called Alex fuckerson is football valiant and Mufc is terorrist football clubs.Alex will never satisfied if he looking LFC will grop up to race the champion tittle. He always playing dirty minded games to disturb your emotional.Luis Suarez already get the punishment. Now he try to rocking the squad fof making unstable situation.Becarefull LFC,Alex will not happy when look you will growing up with succes. He can smelling your pontential successful.
ReplyDeleteIt won't happen simple as that!
ReplyDeleteFor this to happen, Real Madrid would have to make him available...For us to turn down the option to buy him (we DO have this option IF he is made available) then the player to decide he would rather go there than stay here where he has advised he is very very happy...NOT GOING TO HAPPEN
ReplyDeletetypicall liverpool fans always moaning about the best manager in the WORLD sir fergie ,and my opinion on sahin is if he wonts to stay at liverpool let him hell regret it when they dont get in the champion's lge, again for the 4th season running and untd winning the league if not defiantly in the top 4,
ReplyDeleteJoke
ReplyDeleteSorry what report is this from?
ReplyDeleteYou're an extremely deluded little boy. United winning the league? They won't get close. United are crap this season lad. You'll be lucky to get 4th.
ReplyDeleteNow try again, ideally in English.
ReplyDeleteDeluded nonsense. Typical dipper.
ReplyDeleteWe were interested in Vidic and Ronaldo, but is there anything conclusive to suggest that our interest came before United's or that they simply follow our interest in players, then sign them up. If they did, why the **** didn't they sign Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Sean bloody Dundee, Tallec, Cheyrou, etc. Nearly every big club knew of Ronaldo at Sporting, the likes of Arsenal and Juventus as well as us and Liverpool. Any half decent prospect in Europe is on the radar of big clubs these days, such is their scouting networks. Scraping the barrel really, latching onto this nonsense that they just copy us with signings. If they just copy us, compare the last two decades between the two clubs, in terms of success (and we bloody spent money too, so that excuse don't work for me)
ReplyDeleteBloody hell, bit desperate. Cocky....for no good reason.
ReplyDelete'very very happy'? He told you this or is just some PR waffle he spouts to the media?
ReplyDeletehow many seasons you been saying that now? Hehe
ReplyDeleteHow about you trying to write a sentence in his native tongue?...thought not..typical brit moron.
