With Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all vying for first teams spots at Manchester United, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to get pitch time at Old Trafford. Recent reports claim that Alex Ferguson is willing to sell the Mexican, and Liverpool are apparently one of the club's interested in signing him.
According to reports in Italy, Hernadez is a Liverpool transfer target, and the Reds face competition from Fiorentina for the £8m-rated striker's signature.
Considering the fact that no player has directly transferred between the two clubs since 1964 (Phil Chisnall from United to Liverpool), I think it's safe to predict that there is practically zero chance of a deal taking place.
Over the years, several United players - including Gabriel Henze and Dimitar Berbatov - were linked with moves to Liverpool, but nothing ever happened.
Hernandez has made just one Premier League start this season, and it's clear that Ferguson prefers Van Persie, Rooney and Welbeck.
Man United affiliation aside, I would take Hernandez for £8m. He knows where the goal is, and since arriving at Old Trafford, he's averaged a league goal or assist every 110 minutes (1 every 1.2 games), which is very impressive.
When asked about his future recently, Hernandez gave the standard response:
"My challenge is to play and win titles with Manchester United"

ReplyDeleteno way, no chance..
ReplyDeletenever gonna happen..
NOT FOR SALE
ReplyDeleteCHICHARITO IS NOT FOR SALE, IT IS ALL LIES AND HE LOVES MANUTD.
£8m will not get Javier Hernanadez as he is worth 10 times that, he loves ManUtd and Fergie loves Chicharito, it is all pathetic lies by English/European press. Chicharito is not for sale at any price.
ReplyDeleteJavier has made 3 PL starts, he has played 7 times this season out of 10 games for United and Fergie loves Javier at the club. £8m will not get anyone Chicha as he is worth 10 times that and not for sale. Hernandez loves United, United loves Hernandez, he is not unhappy and he is not for sale, Fergie is not going to sell Chicha, we have 4 world class forwards and it is going to stay that way for years to come. It is all lies by sad media writers.
ReplyDeletegood because i dont want him
ReplyDeleteMore chance of hell freezing over.
ReplyDeleteStupid comment. We don't deal with them directly..its a well known fact.
ReplyDeleteGood because we aint selling.
ReplyDeleteGOOD
ReplyDeleteSo AJ, he is worth 80million is he, on a par with Ronaldo, Messi and a better forward than Falco, get real
ReplyDeleteget a room you 2
ReplyDeleteno chance whatsoever the media whores should just piss off and stop making lies up. Go and have a go at Suarez leaving liverpool, twats.
ReplyDeletechildren, children, stop it!! if he wants to play for Liverpool and the price is right fine! he is a good player, it doesn't matter if he loves United, Jay Spearing Loves Liverpool but he is now at Bolton! if United don't want him and we do why should he not come here? only blinkered hate and bias is stopping it happening.
ReplyDeleteI also think it's funny that fans like AJ think they know what's going on! you know nothing m,ate, your not privy to the decisions made at board level, muppet!
ReplyDeletethe real muppets are the liverpool fans here getting excited over a stupid rumour.
ReplyDeleteWE who's we, never heard of you before
ReplyDeleteno ones getting excited, every one knows its never gonna happen. so do one kermit...
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great move if it were to happen. I think it should happen because Liverpool fans had to watch one of our own suit up for the red devils after we brought him up from the academy system and gave him the world. I am talking about our former player Micheal Owen. While trades between Liverpool and United does not happen very much due to bad blood between the two teams. I would like to see this go through. Sir Alex has claimed that he has made peace with Liverpool, during the period not too long ago when the Hillsborough inquiries where finally revealed. I say we should put him to the test and see if that is indeed true or not by making a move for Chicarito. Chicarito due to no fault of his own finds himself the forgotten man at Old Trafford.
ReplyDeleteI think this deal may go through in some alternate universe parallel to this one. It would be nice if indeed it went through in this one. Every with a pulse must know that Liverpool needs a quality striker up front. Javier Hernandez would fit into our style of play. He possesses great technical talent. He would be a starter on any team he joins. Not starting at the moment due to the fact that he is too similar a player with Rooney and they acquired RVP. Hernandez would partner very well with Suarez even more so than the partnership between Borini and Suarez. I think Borini is good but he has nothing on Hernandez.
Come on Rodgers let's see how much peace Sir Alex has made with Liverpool. Let's get Hernandez
according to reports in italy who obviously have a closer connection than the liverpool echo kanwar, about a mexican which obviously makes it newsworthy for a jump on any story hack like yourself.
ReplyDeletetiresome waste of reading as usual
ReplyDeleteDont want him as he isnt good enough.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeletelol wont ever ever happen, just laughable and pointless. just another rossi situation
ReplyDeleteif fergie wouldnt sell the second rate and aging heinze to liverpool, what makes anyone think he would sell hernandez? and thats just one of many reasons why this wont happen.
ReplyDeleteChicharito need too go too another team it doeant matter where he just needs playing time! Juventus, Floren. ,and real have promised him that fuck fergie thinking welbacks bettter just cause hes an english guy he preffers him,
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the day Hernandez, 4th choice striker at United (5th if you consider Kagawa as a second striker), goes on to be sold for £80mil.
ReplyDeleteFergie might want to sell, different times now, Liverpool not consider a threat to MU anymore
ReplyDeleteHernandez should be given a chance to play for Liverpool. In terms of scoring goals I think he is better than Wellbeck. His shooting technique is better than Rooney. If he is given more playing opportunity, he'll definitely be one of the best goal scorer in the EPL. If Liverpool wants him, take him because with more playing time he shall be a better goal player. I am an admirer of his positioning for goal scoring opportunity.
ReplyDeleteHernandez is on his way to Liverpool, he can't stand the old drunk Slur Alex and has wanted out for the last 2 seasons ...
ReplyDeleteNo better way than to join Liverpool to get under his skin and if course wind up the United fans... As EA Sports say " It's in the Game" !
United will deal with anyone that's got money now because there skint
ReplyDeleteThank you....sorry LFC will never sign player who come from enemy clubs. Finish
ReplyDeletesorry but liobverpool couldnt affroad him with the lad being worth over 30m not this pathetic 8m the media trash and disrespectfully claimed.
ReplyDeleteLiverpool couldnt get him anyways as you guys are nothing more then a mid table team with an avergae squad, everton would have a better chance.
Who can forget the Heinz affair? The player was up for the move, but Fergie was having none of it.
ReplyDeleteA Utd to Liverpool transfer will not happen ever.
Would be lethal up front for the Reds; Doesnt look likely but i'd love to see him in a Liverpool shirt; and have him bang in a few against UTD.
ReplyDeleteLol...
If he's leaving man utd for the scouse twats he might as well drop down a division or two....
ReplyDeleteBut there would be the small matter of united refusing the sell him to Liverpool, should he be daft enough to want to leave England's most successful club & regular Championsleague football for mid table football and UEFA cup.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should try bidding just to unsettle them a bit. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe must be careful playing this game though. Fergie has in excess of 20 years experience winding his opponents up. Just look at what he did to Suarez...
worth 10 times more than 8 million, so what are you saying, is he worth the same £80million you sold ronaldo to real madrid for? facepalm
