Yes please! LFC 'continue to follow' €18m Benfica goalscorer. Possible loan...?

Reports in Portugal this week claim that the Reds have reignited their interest in Manuel Agudo Durán - aka Nolito - and are considering a possible possible move during the January transfer window.

According to a report on Sunday in Portuguese newspaper Jornal Record, Liverpool 'continue to follow' the €18m-rated Spanish midfielder, who grabbed 15 goals for Benfica last season.

At one point, the 25-year old winger scored in five consecutive games for Benfica, equalling the record held by Portuguese legend Eusebio.

In May, Oscar Font, Nolito's Agent, confirmed that Liverpool were interested in signing the former Barcelona midfielder. He said:

"Clubs like Valencia and Liverpool are interested in him but there are still no concrete proposals."

Nolito is contracted to Benfica until 2016, and he reportedly has a €39m buyout clause in his contract, which probably rules Liverpool out of a January deal.

Loan deal, perhaps?

Windger? Meaning winger? Aha.... But looks good to me! Anything which can put the ball in the net and not hit the bar or post or wide :)

  4. Players cost much more in January, so his buyout clause may stand, so thats us out of it. We will be linked with dozens of players between now and January, the question is just how much FSG will be prepared to spend to keep its customers happy, might be BR will be on a sell then spend budget, excuse my pessimism, but the Red Sox need massive investment also, and surely their needs will get priority.

  9. There are no worst signings than the Portuguese players. If we sign him and later AVB or some other Portuguese managers decides he likes him, Nolito will storm the door at Anfield to leave. Every Portugues player I've seen is a traitor.
