Confirmed LFC line-up vs. West Brom: Three more academy starlets make the team...!

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has named a much-changed team to face West Brom in the Crapital One Cup game tonight.

Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Martin Skrtel et al are all rested, and in come the club's new signings Sahin, Assaidi and Yesil.

FULL LINE UP:

Jones, Robinson, Coates, Carragher, Wisdom, Henderson, Sahin, Downing, Pacheco, Assaidi, Yesil.

SUBS:

Gulacsi, Sama, Suso, Sterling, Wilson, Coady, Sinclair.

It will be good to see Yesil in a proper competitive match, and I'm glad Dani Pacheco gets another chance despite his underwhelming performance against BSC Young Boys.

It's also great to see other youngsters like Sama, Coady and Sinclair making the squad, and hopefully we'll get to see them in action during the game.

  3. A cup is a cup, a Wembley final is what fans dream about. We won't be winning the Premiership or Champions League any time soon so a trip to Wembley in either this cup or the FA cup will be most welcome. So "Crapital" it may be to you JK but Liverpool at Wembley lifting silverware is still one of the best feelings ever.

  4. Seems like Assaidi's gonna play the role just behind the front three with Downing and Pacheco on the wings.

  5. The only way to make the youngsters better is to make them more confident and that can only be achieved by giving them more competitive games. They are on the stage and know that the whole world is watching so they will definatetly want to perform. Boosted from a great performance against "Young boys" they should have a little more belief in their abilities and perform with more confidence.

I was really impressed by their first performance and expect that kind of effort all the time. I don't care ultimately if they win or lose just how they play the game to be honest.

  10. Yesil looks lively, his movement is brilliant but Assaidi looks really impressive and Sahin is doing great too, Carragher struggling against the physicality of Lukaku.
