Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed last Saturday that he's actively seeking out loan deals for several overseas players, and according to renowned Spanish newspaper Marca (whose Journos are close to Real Madrid), Turkish youngster Nuri Sahin - also wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur - is one of the players on Rodgers' loan wishlist.
The report in today's edition of Marca states:
"Liverpool is the latest club to show interest in Nuri Sahin, and the club is willing to accept Madrid's only condition for Sahin to leave: that if he does so it would be on a loan or a transfer with a reasonable buy-back clause".
Mourinho made it clear a few days ago that Sahin could leave the Bernebeau if wanted:
"He wants to play to be happy and in Real Madrid with Xabi Alonso, Sami Khedira, Lassana Diarra, Esteban Granero and Mesut Ozil, the situation is not easy. We are leaving the situation in his hands. If he decides to leave we'll help him leave".
Rodgers worked with Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, and developed a close personal relationship with the Portuguese, which will hopefully give Liverpool an advantage when it comes to actually negotiating a deal for the 23-year old Turk.
Sahin- who joined Real for £8m last summer - would be an very exciting signing, so let's hope this particular deal comes to fruition.

Always been a fan of him, and have followed his progress for a few years. I would like so see him at Liverpool, but do we need more midfielders? Well we need better ones. But if he came in surely we would have to offload some others.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem with any loan deal at the moment is that Sahin doesn't want to leave Real Madrid rather than Mourinho being unwilling to loan him out. Any 'influence' Rodgers has with Mourinho is pretty redundant. I doubt Sahin would have issues playing at Arsenal (ECL) but be happy to play at Liverpool (Europa).
ReplyDeleteFriendship doesn't come into it. Business is business and it is the deal that counts !
ReplyDeleteIf we can manage to get Sahin, I don't think we need to buy Joe Allen. Swansea's Landrup is talking too much recently. According to him, Liverpool must pay more than what we paid for Henderson. As Allen is better than him.
ReplyDeleteSo if we did poor business once, we have to do it forever. Should all future business be measured with the past incorrect valuations we once did ?
If we get Sahin we do not need Allen, surely £15m can be better spent on a wide right player or another striker???
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a far superior player to Adam, spearo and Downer.
ReplyDeletejaimie i asked you last week if you were happy with how the transfer window is going you repled yes got to end end of august....well time is ticking players need to bed in the other top clubs are going about there transfers and we are doing nothing except offloading players some imo we should some we should keep i expect at least one top player to leave as well eg agger skirtel suarez, yet we have not been in for any proven world class players and i dont mean messi i do not think allen and dempsey will improve our squad do not think they are better than kuyt ,bellamy, maxi and carrol just cheaper alternatives i think it is an extremely worrying time for us fans and fsg are going down the road of the last set of yanks profit for themselves screw the fans i predict another seaon of rebellion on the kop and before every one starts spouting about rodgers the football we have played under him so far makes kennys team last year look like brazil at least we were hitting the woodwork now were not even creating chances against the weak teams in preseason and the europa so what hopes against the premiership yes we have been missing players but these players will not be ready when the season kicks off ...please tell me you are not happy with the situation
ReplyDeleteyes please, although spurs can pay more and arse can offer CL football, so it looks like a long shot.
ReplyDeletesounds like agger is going to be forced out by rodgers. pls liverpool fans lets get rodgers out before its too late. Guys if u love our club save it from rodgers' clutches.
ReplyDeleteSahin would be good but surely as an alternative to Allen not in addition to him. The clock is indeed ticking an for me the priorities are to secure the signing of at least one strong right sided MF player. CM, though we are well-stocked there is important for tactical/style-of-play reasons (please sell Adam!). A real problem could emerge if we lose Agger because the transfer energies would then be distratcted away from RM/CM to replace him (unless we can promote Kelly to CM from RB). The other area where I feel we still need strengthening is the strikeforce if we do end up selling Caroll (which personally I hope we don't). Also I'm wondering whether Robinson is ready yet to deputise at LB or if we need cover there. Tick tock, tick tock.
ReplyDeletecome on lets rebel NOW. First tell me how to convince this blender Doggers not to sell agger. Hodgson was better than this guy. Atleast he kept Torres. Blender Doggers is forcing out our best players. LETS STOP HIM NOWWWWWWWW
ReplyDeletewill you just make sense and stop being stupid again,, why will rodgers want to force agger out when he is not forcing carroll.. i think you are one of those greedy and impatient fans... you are one of those fans that keep the jeopardy around by spreading false rumors.. wake up to reality, things are no more as good for liverpool as it was in the early 80's and 90's and we are only trying to revive the club and this is the least we expect from fans like you.... weve had 3 managers in two years..cus of fans like you.. hodgson wasnt so bad but still m*****frs like you kicked him out.. you guys just be patient whats f***ing wrong with all of you
ReplyDeletesometimesk i really wonder why i support liverpool because we have a lot if impatient, greedy and stupid fans.. they think with the bottom of thier feet not with thier brain.. how will rodgers want to force agger out when he is not forcing carroll
ReplyDeleteGreedy and impatient. I like millions of fans oversaw what happened when Xabi Alonso was sold. As or Agger, can u give me another reason why Agger is being sold to fund ASHLEY WILLIMS AND ALLEN. Agger's agent said agger is very happy. So why will we even consider selling our best defender.
ReplyDeleteim not jeopardizing our team. I love liverpool as much as u. I didnt expect owners to spend big but the least they cud do is keeping our best players and build up a team. We needed only two players this window- a forward(already bought) and a winger(Tello loan) and keeping bellamy and kuyt atleast. But NOOOO that cant happen can it. Whos next-Skrtel....Suarez....Lucas...maybe gerrard too.
ReplyDeleteif rumours are false then why isnt rodgers or anyone coming out to blast these "rumours"
ReplyDeleteRodgers wants to sell agger to free up cash for allen. and pls go to twitter and lfc site. all fans are livid.
ReplyDeletecan i explain why im greedy. i only want the blender rodgers to not sell agger. we already know what happened when we sold alonso
ReplyDeleteNo Rick, you misunderstand - Sahin doesn't want to be sold, but he would probably be willing to go out on loan for a year so that he can get game time and prove to Mourinho that he's good enough for Real Madrid.

ReplyDeleteRodgers tried but failed coz carroll doesnt want west ham move. so now hes doing the same with agger. Any way im not impatient but i hope u can excuse my anger if we sell agger
ReplyDeleteHe has better things to do than deny ever shit story the media create.
ReplyDeletei was neutral during hodson reign bcoz i know he didnt have funds. hes very gud with transfers too(atleast better than blender Doggers). he wanted hazard and suarez as he said but others fans thought otherwise. I supported KK like others coz really we created eons of chances. i was neutral about rafa too. I WILL hate Doggers if he sells our best defender( the only position where we are stronger than our rivals).
ReplyDeleteHow do you know what he wants to do?.
ReplyDeleteNo way .......you can't be serious. Lol.
ReplyDeleteVery good choice, one of the best
ReplyDeletethats what the newspapers say and it makes sense
ReplyDeletemaybe not but agger's case is seriuos
ReplyDeleteWhat the he'll are you saying ? Get a grip. Brendon is not the problem. I think Fsg 's real passion is the Red sox and Liverpool is their investment. It's time for them to show their fair dinkum and back the manager with funds. Honeymoon is over gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteAgreed but i wud love to see ur reaction if agger is sold and he comes out and tells "i didnt want to leave but brendan had other ideas"
ReplyDeleteanyway we cud have kept atleast kuyt and loaned in tello and bought michu (2m). if fsg doesnt want to invest for lfc they can sell 33% of shares to petro-dollar guys.
Really liked the look of him at Dortmund, a pity he has found it hard at Real with the competition and injury. Would love to see the club take him on loan. A somewhat more attack-minded than Allen and more comfortable joining forward, in my view but they definitely share common ground in keeping possession ticking over in central midfield and have a decent defensive awareness about their game for a player of their ilk.
ReplyDeleteJaimie i thought people were not allowed to insult others on these comments.....'Blender Doggers'????? it pissed me off that people said 'Dogleash' on this website so please delete this guy's post!
ReplyDeleteStop f***ing calling him blender doggers
ReplyDeleteKuyt's time was up. Simple. I'm confident Brendon knows what he's doing. He also needs to backed at the top. He will never come out and blame the owners if we get rid of Agger but he might think hey, what if Agger misses weeks through injury? What if he doesn't ? But if if you can strengthen the squad with 20 mil then give Coates and Kelly games. Ideally I would love to keep Agger , and have the owners get the cheque books out. We will learn a lot about Fsg in the next couple of weeks.
ReplyDeletehes already at arsenal sorry liverpool losers, arsenal ready got him and anyway why would he come to a shit club like liverpool
ReplyDeleteSahin would be quality, then we can ditch our attempt to sign allen. This summer was always going to be difficult because teams are going to demand extremely high fees for players because of the fees we paid over the past year and a half. Liverpool need to set a precedent now and not pay 20 million for the likes of allen. Think he needs to address the fact that we have sold three goal scoring attackers and only brought one in. Our midfield with gerrad, lucas and in my opinion - shelvey with adam, hendo, cole, spearing providing cover is fine and we don't need more players. Defence is fine and think if agger goes we will need to address that but 22 million is ok for him considering he is injured around half of any given season. That was we can spend ten million on a defender and 12 million on one or two attackers. If we can offload adam and pay the extra for allen that would be a good buy i think in that case. In any case, it's all very worrying at the minute and I think that Rodgers really needs to get the finger out ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI heard that there was a break in at the Arsenal trophy room. Police claim the only item stolen , was the red carpet. Seven years and still counting. By the way Arman How many champs leagues the misfiring gunners won? As I thought. Big fat doughnuts . Now get on your bmx bike and ride on.
ReplyDeleteShit club like liverpool??? 5 times European champions,18 times league champions, come on you moron!!!...how can you call the mighty Reds a shit club.you must be abnormal, but if you are normal then you are abnormally normal so still have the aspect of abnormality..what is arsenal?
ReplyDeletedo you know even the rats in your trophy room gossip arsenal...they say "is this a football club?it's now seven years yet there is no trophy!!"
why are you on our site if you are an arsenal fan?i think its because deep down inside you have some feelings for liverpool!
ReplyDeleteand why do i sense some jealousy in your comment?
oh, i get it ,arsenal won 0 CL & liverpool has 5
liverpool has18 league cups & still way ahead of arsenal
misfiring liverpool won the carling cup and came 2nd in the FA last season while the scoring gunners were scoring at the wrong time.
now you are jealous that we are coming back & might increase the gap on you.
well there is nothing i can do friend because i also felt jealousy when Man U got their 19th league cup.so please, if you cant beat them , join them.
you are welcome to the most decorated team in England(LIVERPOOL FC).
I wish we could force you out you pr**k....
ReplyDeleteLiverpool can forget it! They are not even in the top european competition, they can't attract big names, it is a has been football club. LOL!
ReplyDeleteSahin, Tello , Mirallas, Holtby, Allen , Dempsey , Ramirez ,Granero, Davies, Jovetic , Guidetti , Quaresma,Afellay , oh i've lost count of the number of players linked to the Club ..................
ReplyDeleteHe's brilliant. Absolutely fuckin brilliant! Him and Lucas. We'd have the best midfield in the league!
ReplyDeleteBLENDER DOGGERS!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Alonso Convince him... Steve G will have less pressure on him, as his style is more of Xabi and Steve
