Liverpool striker Luis Suarez continued his excellent goalscoring record for Uruguay tonight with a hat-trick against Chile.
Uruguay won the pre-Olympics friendly 6-4 (!), with napoli striker Edinson Cavani also scoring two goals.
Suarez has now grabbed 13 goals and 1 assist in his last 10 games for Uruguay, a strike rate that far exceeds his efforts for Liverpool.
On the plus side, with his participation in the Olympics, Suarez should come into the new season fighting fit, and hopefully ready to improve on last season's tally of 17 goals in all competitions.

Is it just the kit or does Suarez look like he's beefed up a little. A bit of extra strength could make luis unstoppable next season
ReplyDeletenaw, sell him.
ReplyDeleteGood spot - I thought that too. It could be more muscle...or he could be a tad overweight due being on holiday...?
ReplyDeleteLast season was only Suarez's first full season for Liverpool 17 goals and 7 assists all together that's 24, wasn't bad at all, little more luck and some better finishing he could've easily hit the 25-30 mark.. I think Suarez is gonna own the premier league this season, especially under Rodgers.. People say he's a horrible attitude and a bad person blah blah blah but that might be a good thing for Liverpool because it might stop Barcelona coming after him, I wouldn't bet on it though, he's a little genius..
ReplyDeletein Uruguay all we do is eat asado and drink vino...so you get my point.
ReplyDeleteSomehow he reminds me of Maradonna.
ReplyDeletesuarez scored only 2 number 7 score pen,why its hat-trick????????????
ReplyDeleteIt seems.that.the video doesn't show suarez's third goal. I'll.replace it soon.

Hmm i dunno he seems a bit broader across the shoulders and shrugged off a bit of barging for the second goal so i think he really could be deadly for us.
ReplyDeleteA lot more optimistic with Rodgers at the minute and i think he may be the one to get the best out of some of the under-achievers, especially Charlie Adam and Henderson, possible Carroll too
I spent barely two weeks in Uruguay and gained about 5 kilos. It's the BBQ, you just can't help yourself. I'm sure Luis was keeping fit but all that protein just turns into body mass, be it muscle or fat, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him put on a few.
ReplyDeletesuarez should be given the no.9 shirt he is much profolic in it
ReplyDeleteI'm more excited and concerned about who's coming to LFC this season... :)
ReplyDeleteYeah. I just like the way he plays. He'll fit into Brendan's playing style very nicely. Wouldn't be surprise if he is up there in the top scorers list this coming season.
ReplyDeleteIf Luis continues in this scoring vein will we be able to keep hold of him.
ReplyDeleteWe can expect mega offers from you no where. But a front 3 of Suarez,
Borini, & Dempsey looks good.
What's happened with the Ramirez rumor? He and Suarez would be deadly.
ReplyDeleteRumour only!!!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone of the haters out there would love to have Suarez, the man is an elite player...............end of!!!
ReplyDeleteHe scores so well for Uruguay because he plays with forward support with them and not put out as a lone striker. If he stays at LFC they might eventually learn that in a few years or so!
ReplyDeleteBtw the first goal Suarez scored was assisted by Gaston Ramirez so for all you Liverpool fans yes he is GOOD and better than most of Liverpools shitty midfielders! I only respect Gerrard in that midfield! Vamos arriba Uruguay and LFC YNWA! Vamo arrriba Luisito Suarez el Pisolero!
ReplyDeleteIMO Liverpool just need two players. Gaston Ramirez and Joe Allen to challenge for top 4. The rest of the squad is good enough and yes so is Andy Carroll. Hope he stays.YNWA
ReplyDeleteAt least he's not underperforming for his national side....seem's like he wants to vamp up his footballing status once again and show the World how good he is, shame he never did that for us last season......
ReplyDeleteClearly we are talking about a World Class player here, im sure Jamie would agree with that...but as for his antics last season...well, still havn't forgiven him tbh, brought a whole load of shame to the Club, you could argue that he was very much behind the demise of Kenny as manager....
Hand shake anyone...?
Might be an outstanding footballer an all but his behaviour at times leaves a lot to be desired....
But then again who at Liverpool football club cares about that..?
The first and Third goals were assisted by Ramirez. Imagine if Ramirez came to LFC, Suarez would be a goal machine.
ReplyDeleteYour a wanker Mitzsu, check the handshake video closely and you see Evra lower his hand to his side(THE SNEAKY FUCKER) and then he goes on to make it look like Suarez was the culprit. Suarez didnt underperform, he has bugger all assistance from anyone except Gerard and had to create most of the chances himself. Gerard aside, the midfield is so mediocre its embarassing. For uruguay he gets more assitance and scores as a result. Simple, just like you..
ReplyDeleteSuarez's second goal showed him in his best light for me. In the channel be it right or left. What he is capable of in these areas of the pitch as he demonstrated for Ajax is technical genius. I hope he is used as a wide forward for us this year. He would be mesmerising.
ReplyDeleteThis guy gives me hope , if only we can bring the guy with the two assists it will bode well for the club
ReplyDeletedo do do do luis suarez
ReplyDeleteyou could almost say single handedly his handshakes and ability to hit the post more time gave kenny a hard time
ReplyDeleteThat's fair enough. Regardless of whether he is guilty or innocent, Suarez brought unnecessary controversy to the club with the whole handshake business. He still owes the club (and Kenny, though that debt wont be repaid now).
ReplyDeleteHopefully next season we'll only be talking about the positive aspects of this young man.
Well Jamie posting videos of Luis Suarez scoring hat tricks, the same Luis Suarez you ave been so vocal of saying how we should get rid, make ya mind up lad or stop coming out with shit to get cheap hits on ya web site! Ave some balls and post this but u wont
