Fulham star: We are 'hungry' to beat LFC tonight. Possible £15m summer signing...?

After the 4-0 hammering against Everton recently, Fulham's Belgian playmaker Mousa Dembele is determined to put things right against Liverpool tonight, and he's confident that the Londoners can get a positive result at Anfield.

Speaking to the official Fulham website ahead of tonight's game, Dembele admitted that the Everton catastrophe was 'not our best performance', and promised that the Fulham players were out to 'prove themselves' against Liverpool. He added:

"We can go level on points with Liverpool with a win, which is why I am so hungry to beat them. We still aim to finish above Liverpool so now is our chance to show them that we can.

"If we want to do that, we have to win this game and give ourselves the best chance of catching them in the league. For me, I hope they play with their best players possible so we can show we can beat them."

Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Dembele several times this year, and with the summer transfer window just around the corner, he's bound to be linked again very soon.

£15m-rated Dembele would fall within Liverpool's price range but, for me, his end product leaves a lot to be desired. One goal and three assists in 41 games is just not good enough for an attacking midfielder, and Liverpool have enough non-scoring midfielders as it is.

If Liverpool were to raid Fulham this summer, I'd much rather the club looked at Clint Dempsey.

  6. Dembele is a class player. Liverpool's problems do not seem to be analysed properly. There is no creative player that can hold the ball and run at defences. Suarez can do that but he has to fall deep to do so and that creates problems up front. That is why players like Dembele would be a welcome addition to this squad. In my view, LFC should go for Dembele (good left foot) and also someone like Kagawa but as a minimum Taarbat, i.e., if we can offload Cole. We need to be both realistic in who we can attract and also the weak areas the team has. I think FSG and Kenny should wise up and bring players that complete the team.

  7. i think more mediocre players will  be brought in. no top player worth his salt will want to join a mid table club. cup runs are great, but we all know what the best players look for. work in progress????
