Agent: £40m LFC Brazil target is wanted by 'everyone in Europe'. Another bid...?

In early January, the agent of Sao Paolo starlet Lucas Moura told a Brazilian radio station that Liverpool had put in a bid for the exciting attacker. Since that time, speculation over the Brazil striker's future has reached fever pitch, and yesterday, Moura's father confirmed that the young forward is wanted across Europe.

In an interview with UOL, Lucas's father, Jorge Rodrigues, claimed:

"Everyone in Europe wants Lucas. [Jose] Mourinho told me if there is a kid ready to play in Europe then it is Lucas. [Pep] Guardiola and Inter's manager said the same"

Rodrigues and Moura'a Agent, Wagner Ribeiro, have met with several top European clubs over the last few weeks, which seems to suggest that a summer move could be on the cards.

Ribeiro confirmed in January that Liverpool put in a bid for £40m-rated Moura:

"I received three offers for my client [Moura] from Chelsea, Inter and Liverpool".

Given the club's disastrous league campaign - and no Champions League football next season - it seems unlikely that Anfield is a potential destination for the Brazilian at this stage.

  3. no absolutely not. if we have that money to spend it should be on proven players already adapted to a european lifestyle. We cannot afford any more cockups with our transfer policy.

  9. looks good but I would do a little more research . He is a Brazilian with a lot of pace so that is already something he has going for himself.  We need to be sure he can play in the premiership before we commit to buying this player

  10. I do not think the sort of money being asked  for him is merited and the main worry is being Brazilian will he adapt to England and the EPL its too big a punt.

  11. If we are going to get into the top 4 we will need to spend big with large salery to intice the player. Look at what Man City had to spend to get them there.
