Agent confirms: €20m LFC striker target 'could move to England'. Good enough?

Liverpool have been linked with Roma striker Bojan Krkic several times over the last year, and according to the player's Agent, the former Barcelona player is open to a move to the Premier League this summer. With the Reds desperately needing new strikers, is Bojan the type of the player the club's new manager - whoever that turns out to be - should look at?

Bojan moved to Roma last year after failing to hold down a regular place in Barcelona's first team, but after only 17 starts for Roma this season, it looks like the youngster could be on his way once again. Speaking to Blic on Friday, Krkic's's father - who is also his Agent - said:

"At the moment he is thinking about where he will play next season. That is his priority. He could also move to England.

"There are clubs there that are interested in my son. Which clubs? I can't talk about names just yet. We will see what happens in the next few days"

The €20-rated striker has 7 goals and 1 assist in 17 starts this season, which is hardly the most prolific strike rate. However, at 21, he fits Liverpool's transfer policy, and he undoubtedly has great potential. Worth a bid?

  1. Until the day Liverpool have a new manager they cannot be linked with anyone from Messi to Nobby Arbuckle who plays left back for the Farmers Arms in Fazakerley who is a much better tackler than Enrique.

  2. Right, I'm not saying that I know this for a fact, but don't Roma have to keep him for two years because Barca put a clause in the sale contract so they can by him back in two year for 2 million more? I'm not sure, so don't quote me. Interesting article though!

  3. I'll agree with Billy here. The club is not going to pursue a transfer option to any extent without the manager agreeing that the player could play a role in the team. So with no manager this is a moot point right now.

  4. These are prob players they were scouting anyway so they will still keep tabs on them. It will be up to the new manager if he wants to pursue them

  5. that was the agreement put in place last summer when we were being linked with him so i don't know how it would work out if we were to try and sign him.prob have to give barca first option or a sell on clause.

  6. sooner the new manager is in place the better so we can start moving on some dead wood and get some new faces in.chelsea are already reported to have eden hazard in the bag.prices will be inflated after the euros so would be helpful to have some business done beforehand.

  7. Bojan broke into the first team football at Barcelona at the age of 17 but now he is 21 and he didn't took that the next step. Now even at Roma he hasn't been impressive, so i think Liverpool shouldn't waste their time on him. Eventhough Bojan has enough potential to be a good striker in the future but Liverpool need to buy someone who is a finished product and develop their own players like Adam Morgan or Eccleston instead of player like Bojan who will moan about return to Barcelona like Fabregas did at his peak.

  9. No shame in scouting, the club can not be slow and let potential targets slip, but I don't think any major signing will be made until we have manager in place.

20 mil. price tag for Krkic is overrated from the time he was at Barcelona.
It's obvious he didn't make it there or in Roma and his potential doesn't demand such a huge transfer fee.
Maybe he would be better off with a club that will make him their immediate nbr. 1 strike, Liverpool has at least 2 players ahead of him.

  10. To be honest I would prefer this winger who operates in a few positions and I reckon he would be a hit for 20 million.

Pablo Piatti is a great replacement if kuyt and maxi may leave. We need a top young signing and age 23 he is not that old. His stats are not great but he will eventually improve with the right manager under his wings.

  11. clint dempsey, yakubu, d.cisse, p. cisse, even defoe, we need someone mature who can guarantee goals for next few seasons whilst scouting for future stars.

  12. I don't think Krkic would cost more than 10mil euros as he was bought for 13mil euros and was a failure at Roma. How in earth his price went double up, or we're talking about LFC who bought all players double of their value in last 18-months???  Don't think is going to happen, at least not for 20mil and is not the type of player LFC need as LFC can buy De Jong for 12-mil and is better prospect.

  13. forget this kid he has potential but everyone we bought last year was based on potential and look at how great that worked out for us time we start paying some decent money for finished articles

  14. Simple answer.....................NO

  15. There's nothing wrong with Krkic except his price tag. He has shown his talent during his time at Barcelona but 10 mil pounds is the max we can pay for the youngster. Nothing more than that.

  18. My dead granny is a better tackler than Enrique. Non- Existant.Do u think there was a problem between Dalglish and Enrique and Reina. They both seem to be playing well below par for second half of season?Curious!

  19. With the current wingers in the team even the best forward in the world will struggle to score. It's all about service from midfield/wings.
