FULL TIME VIDEO: Man City 3-0 Liverpool. Reina's mistakes cost LFC

Liverpool have lost 3-0 down against Manchester City at the Etihand stadium.

Here are the goals:

1-0: Aguero

Dirk Kuyt loses the ball, and Reina allows Aguero's shot to go under him. He should've saved it.

2-0: Glen Johnson is beaten to the ball by Kompany, and Reina makes a half-hearted effort to keep the ball out. Again, he should've saved it.

3-0

Jaimie Kanwar

  1. First was Reina's fault. 2nd was my fault. Sorry about that.
Bit harsh blaming Pepe for the 2nd one. Lack of quality out there. A few triers but no real quality

  4. Horrible performance from us, it really is. Carroll has been absolute dire but not helped by the lack of support. Still shocking that for a £17m defender that Johnson can't defend in a solid manner. Henderson and Downing yet again don't look like top 4 level players. What a shambles. One reliable player we have, apart from Gerrard, to provide attacking impetus is out for 8 games. That is all we got as a club, Gerrard and Suarez as good enough attacking players for a club of our stature. £100+ down the drain, thanks KK and Comolli.

  5. Carroll has been IMMENSE ..STILL AT LEAST THE TEAMS ARE EVENLY MATCHED NOW THAT BARRY IS OFF AS WE'VE BEEN PLAYING WITH 10 MEN THE ENTIRE GAME ....THAT MULE CARROLL

  6. enough with the crosses already!! only bellamy gerrard johnson and maxi can play a short passing game through the middle and it works, the rest only whip in inaccurate crosses which don't result in anything but losing possesion

  7. Downing and Henderson play like they have the level of quality of Middlesborough and Sunderland on their shoulder, rather than the expected quality that we require at Liverpool. What a waste of money.

  8. Ok. So for all the games that Carroll hasn't played in, who do we blame for all the blanks and misses????? Because I'd say it's not just Carroll that's been wasting opportunities, it's the team. Luis was the top waster in the league, so you can blame Carroll all you's like, but the support, the deliveries etc from other players hasnt been good enough too. This an spurs is the worst performance this season, but blame the team, not an individual.

  9. Both Suarez and Carroll have been dire in front of goal. Though today, it was the creativity and support that was the problem. Yes, Carroll was scary as Casper the ghost tonight but he had nothing to feed on.

  10. Carroll was awful and is not good enough.
Yes it's  team game but he showed no spirit effort or determination. He's heart is not in Liverpool is that was Newcastle he'd bust a GUT to chase and harass.

  11. That was quite a miserable performance.  I'm not an anti-Kenny fan but I feel he got the team selection and substitutions wrong.  Should have taken off Downing, Henderson and Carroll.  Between them, they nearly caused me to put my remote through my own tele.  Here's to Kenny realising that the lads who finished the end of last season in style for Livrpool are the ones who should be starting the majority of the games now. The new lads just aren't doing it at the moment. YNWA

  13. I soooo want to slap Downing.  I spent the whole game shouting abuse at him.  He is truly awful.

  14. 'should have taken off Downing, Henderson and Carroll....and told them to never put on a Liverpool shirt again'

  16. Downing just isn't up to it poor bastard ...henderson is what he is Carroll is is just Statuesque..I SWEAR TO GO KENNY DALGLISH HIMSELF COULD PLAYE BETTER THAN CARROLL ...KENNY GET YOUR BOOTS !

  17. We have average standard players.  Jaimie Kanwar was spot on last season with his analysis of Johnson.  His defensive faults always lead to us conceding goals and losing games.  He is not a defender.  It's a toss up between him and David Luiz from Chelsea on worst defenders in PL.

  18. That was quite sad to watch, Liverpool really gave Man City that game on a platter, conceded two soft goals and, yes, a questionable penalty but that was pretty much rendered mute by the continued wastefulness in front of goal.

  19. Oh one other point, Stuart Downing is LFC's biggest diver NOT Suarez.

  20. Your worried about Johnson when he have a Donkey up front ?
And a headless chicken in Downing?

    WTF !

  21. man city had no possesion but they took their chances. the difference is the potency of the attack liverpool, have passed and played lots of teams of the pitch and it looks good for most parts but its the end result that counts and liverpool need a person who can put the ball in the back of the net and not bent, someone world class who can link up play.

  22. lol.  I don't waste my energy on commenting on Carroll who I long time ago drew a line across his name rather than under it.

  23. this is getting worse am sick nd tired of backing a useless carroll nd a tactically ineffective kenny daglish he will loose his job becos of carroll and downing

  24. why is downing afraid to take on players?
this has been obvious for most of the seasons.surely it has to be addressed in training,he always looks to cut back and lay it off.he's not a proper winger,a poor performance from him again and he should have scored, all he had to do was take it past hart.
am starting to get very frustrated with him and kennys persistence in picking him.

  25. Bent is a done deal i hear.  Another panic buy from Kenny.  He is not what we need.  We need a winger who can put quality balls into the box. Besides never buy Villa players they turn out to be flops.

  26. i also fear that kuyts best days are behing him.
he was shocking tonight.i think we need some serious pace in our pace, maybe hoillett at blackburn as an option?
look at johnson when he came on for city, has a massive impact.

  27. Henderson had a good game and but Downing was very poor. Agree on the point that difference between the two teams was the quality and agree Kenny has wasted so much money on average players.

  28. By accepting the Suarez ban, Liverpool is condoning and accepting racism. After all, they employed Suarez. Suarez should leave because he cannot and should not play for a racist club.

The reasons I say the above is below…

NEGRO is not a racist word. The United States Census Bureau announced that "Negro" would be included on the 2010 United States Census alongside "Black" and "African-American" - does that mean the US government promotes and condones racism?

The trouble here is the judgement has been made by 3 individuals who probably have never experienced a second of true racism in their lives. They are a joke and disgrace to the United Kingdom.

THE FA OF ENGLAND IS THE RACIST PARTY HERE, NOT LUIS SUAREZ!

  29. couldnt be worse, kenny again messing up the team but overall if you look at the team we are very average i was expecting that more or less kenny please sell those players you bought except erique and please buy class players and not just british we need a goal scorer asap theres no time otherwise bye bye top 4 AGAIN.

  30. We are not going to sign Bent. There is nothing to prove that we are interested in him. You should stop visiting these sites making up rumours and in return makes people like you foam at the mouth when all they are trying to do is get traffic running through their sites.

Kuyt and Johnson the main culprits for goal 1 and 2.

Why we started with Kuyt is beyond me. He did sweet blue all while he was on the pitch.

Spearing too? What did we actaully need him for in this match?

Kenny got the selection wrong, we went there to draw the match and we ended up losing.

Next step and a very important one IMO is to get a natural goal scorer. We need a Fowler or Owen up front and until this happens then we will keep on struggling to score goals.

  31.  Midfield lacked any drive getting forward and supporting Carroll in the box it only happened a couple of times ,ball was put in Carroll attacked the ball but no one to pick the ball up, should of put more pressure on Kolo Toure wish Downing had took his chance but getting past wishing we don't know how to take any chances going especially the early ones.
When are we going to play Maxi and Bellamy together again from the start when will this happen?

  32. Our team of 2008 would batter this side...no heart or desire from some of our expensive buys AGAIN and AGAIN...how many times have we said that!! Downing should donate his salary to a charity who deserve it more..pathetic excuse for a premiership footballer...who is to blame!!

  33. I said it from 'his' beginning(second time) that KK,(who I loved as a player),just 'is not a good manager'.His success the first time around at LFC,and at Blackburn was due to Paisley and Harwood respectively !
