Porto's Alvaro Pereira has warned Manchester United defender Patrice Evra that he will be a marked man when France play Uruguay in a friendly later in the year.
Pereira, who plays alongside Luis Suarez in the Uruguay national team, recently accused Evra of having an 'inferiority complex'; now, he's made it clear that the left-back will have to watch his back in what is primed to be an international 'grudge match' in August. He said:
"Evra is going to have to wear body armour.
"I think Man United tried to take advantage of this situation and prevent one of Liverpool’s best players from playing, which is sad.
"If I ’m called negro, I laugh. But now it’s a crime to say something on the pitch.
“If this happened in South America, they’d have to suspend everyone".
Jaimie Kanwar

ReplyDeleteExcellent, break Evras legs
ReplyDeleteJust like the old days England causing wars in other countries with our foreign policies !
ReplyDeleteHas anyone noticed how well behaved Evra has come on the pitch?
What did you expect we have called Uruguay and South America racist!
ReplyDeleteWow. What a neanderthal Pereira is but no doubt, there will be some silly tribal fans who agree
ReplyDeleteNo different to his normal behaviour from the matches i have seen him in...oh i get it you mean no one from Loserpool racially abused him lately....no its the fans turn to racially abuse players on the pitch...mind you from what i see that has been going on for a while??
ReplyDeleteyou are an idiot
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute fool, albeit a fool that ClLEARLY knows his place in Uruguay...oops, someone needs to tell the apologist that North England is not in Uruguay.. ffing apologistic fool...
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when Liverpoo Fascist Club refuse to probably deal with the seriousness of what Suarez did....
ReplyDeleteTotall agree hit him hard
ReplyDeleteIf the shoe fits...
ReplyDeleteGoody goody Uk, is a joke around the rest of the world, with their silly policies, we have arrived a time where you can't say BOO!!!
ReplyDeleteSuarez = guilty as charged.............. get a grip you scousers
ReplyDeleteWould I b upset if I was called Blanco. No. Don't understand black people suddenly getting so touchy. I lived in England 4 19 yrs and plenty of times I was called fucking foreigner.I never got pissed off with that cos I was foreigner even though my wife is English and my kids were born in London. I could not care less if a black person called me a fucking white bastard I would have never got upset with that. So I think Alvaro is right that Evra has inferiority complex and manure dirty machine succeeded on preventing one of our best player from playing. What I can't understand though is that I why did Liverpool accepted the charges and Suarez is serving the 8 matches. Why they did not take the case to the court as we all know that he commes from black background and he can never be a racist. YNWA
ReplyDeleteBlimey they really dont like liars in Uruguay do they?
ReplyDeleteSpot on Periera looking forward to watching that game. Come on Uruguay.
ReplyDeleteAlvaro is black as simple as that!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to call him a racist as well??????
loserfool racist.
ReplyDeleteSuarez - convicted on hearsay of a serial complainer. Ask Finnan or the Chelsea Steward
ReplyDeleteI think the point is that people believe that Suarez has been deined natural justice. I mean, heaven forbid Evra would tell lies....
ReplyDeleteyeah wat an idiot...............HOW KIND, would get off lightly wth just broken legs
ReplyDeletemy thoughts exactly, he knows hes done wrong big time.
ReplyDeleteevra deserves everything he gets and MORE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEvra has caused a war between France and Uruguay!
ReplyDeletewat.... try wash out a rat that evra is. welcome back to anfield, cant wait
ReplyDeleteEvra who caused the whole of the French national team to rebel at the last World Cup??
ReplyDeleteGreat role model to have as captain!!!!!!!!
evra is an idiot and cant believe theres a video of him using the n word in a derogatory sense when talking about lampard and hasselbank...what a hypocrite I hope he breaks his legs...
ReplyDeletewonder wat cheat card evra will play this time when the going gets tough,
ReplyDeletehope they batter him to death (so to speak) uruguay will probably get banned, oh no they wont, wont be nothing to do with the fa and he wont be wearing that cheap red shirt
England will never host the world cup again - South Americans cant stand England
ReplyDeleteHow tribal was the manc derby today????????
ReplyDeleteHow tribal was the United City derby today?????????????
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Evra didn't complain about either of them, it was two crowd members and Mike Phelan...
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad indeed.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Evra will be playing in the match either through non selection due to lack of form or he will be struck by some mystery injury that will heal itself as quickly after the match as it appeared before the match.
Didn't the FA say his account was over top and unreliable?
ReplyDeletewhy is it virtually the rest of the football world apart from manc fans can see its all a farce and know wat evra is like?
ReplyDeleteid like to get a grip...........a grip on evra..........!
I love Alvaro now, like to see him play for Liverpool and break some united players up starting with Evra N then Rooney
ReplyDeleteARRESTS BY CLUB SUPPORTED & TYPE OF OFFENCE - PREMIER LEAGUE 2010-11 SEASON Racist or indecent chanting: Liverpool 0Man UTD 2 Source : http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publications/crime/football-arrests-banning-orders/fbo-2010-11?view=Binary
ReplyDeleteTo be fair he's backin his teammate, like Liverpool players did, and people are against this, an why? I'm askin all these supporters of other teams that question. Are you all a bunch of f**nies that would believe ya mate over someone else an back him to the hilt? This once great country of ours is a nanny state. Some Foreign and ethnic people walk over the border claiming everything they can get because the UK is soft touch, people are afraid to breach their human rights, and things are politically correct and health and safety must be adhered to. The reason why the case was tried on the balance of probability and not in court on 'beyond reasonable doubt' was so an example could be made. Terry's is in court for some reason and he would have lost for sure on probability. The media don't want to look racist so have gone against Liverpool too. I know that this is jumbled up but I'm really really fed up of this, rival fans, would you like to be called a paedophile 'on the balance of probability?' I don't think so. If racism is so important, then why was it judged on that? Why not do it through a court of law or just judge it 'beyond reasonable doubt?' because the FA smelled blood and wanted to be number one at something. Leading the fight against racism. And before I'm accused of racism my dad is Libyan, and I'm ex forces where I served an lived with all colours and creeds.

ReplyDeleteFrance v Uruguay
Evra v Uruguay
Date for the diary!!!!!!!
no actually evra claim not to have heard the chelsea groundsman or steve finnan, that's why the cases were eventually dismissed.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt the oldham lad deserves knee capping or the like as well. You sad bunch of shithouses really do belong with your trophy cabinet. In the dark ages.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice how both sets of players went comfort and reassure the Oldham player Adeyemi after being abused?
ReplyDeleteWhy did no Man U players go to Evra when he said he was being abused it was like none of them cared?
Didnt the FA say none of Liverpools defence stories matched up. & dear old kenny calls evra a liar. Still, not like the scousers to play the victim when guilty is it?
ReplyDeleteI actually feel sorry for Alvaro Pereira. Just because you've continuously been abused to the point where a defensive mechanism (laughter) is needed in order to cope, does not require evra to do the same.
ReplyDeleteOn 5th Dec 2008, Evra was found guilty of four separate counts of improper conduct by the FA:
ReplyDeletea) Mr Evra pushed the Chelsea head groundsman with his chest (as was admitted by Mr Evra)
b) He struck Mr Sam Bethell, a groundsman at Chelsea, on the side of his head
c) He subsequently, ie after the previous incident had begun to calm down, ran back to confront Mr Bethell again (as was also admitted by Mr Evra)
d) Then became involved in a further physical altercation with Mr Bethell.
Evra was handed a four-match ban – due to start on 22 December 2008 – and a £15,000 fine after he was found guilty of improper conduct by the FA.
What were you saying??????
Well that just shows how uninformed you are!
ReplyDeleteNeither did Evra's Black on the field N word off it!!!!!
ReplyDeletetop class, likey
ReplyDeleteIs Evra still a first choice for France... he may just not play? I think after the World Cup he deservedly lost his captaincy as well (I may well be wrong).
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I do not think that anyone has the right to right a wrong with wrong. Targeting Evra (or abusing him on/off pitch) will not achieve anything. Suarez, his teammaets, the fans, better forgive his offender and move on!
The bigger goal is to amend and improve the unfair process of FA (and reduce the hypocracy and power play by having transparent, fair rules and process) so that no more future cases like the Suarez one can happen again!
scum fans, take a look at page 10, you're top of the league for all kinds of disorder, including 2 for racial abuse. Now wind your necks in scum bags

I would not rush to ridicule or judge him; Pereira comes from different culture. Further, he shows national pride and sticks with birth place. I would rather agree that he just does not have an inferiority complex than the "defensive mechanism" interpretation.
ReplyDeleteexactly, they've condemned a man on the balance of probability, in other words they guessed. I know what I would find offensive more than racial abuse, someone who made abusive references to my family i.e. sister like Evra did. Apparently LS said the word 10 times according to Evra, his boss said 5 times, FA are saying 7 and LS said 1. Now thats consistency.
ReplyDeleteF*** off manure. Evra is a lying cheating trouble causing idiot like his manager and would be the same no matter the colour of his skin
ReplyDeleteOn 21 June, striker Nicolas Anelka was dismissed from the squad after reportedly having a dispute, in which obscenities were passed, with Domenech during half-time of the team's loss to Mexico.[183] The resulting disagreement over Anelka's seclusion between the players, the coaching staff, and federation officials resulted in Evra leading a player protest against the decision on 20 June, in which the players refused to train.[184][185][186] Prior to leading the revolt, Evra had gotten into a verbal argument with national team fitness coach Robert Duverne.[187] The strike was denounced by the French Football Federation, as well as government officials.[188] The following day, the players returned to training without incident.[189] As a result of the mutiny, Evra was stripped of the captaincy and benched for the team's final group stage match against hosts South Africa.[
ReplyDeleteJog our memories
also a story from last April!
France has been plunged into a fresh race crisis after claims that football officials tried to limit black and Arab players on youth training schemes to make the French team more white.
Was this because of what happened at the World Cup ?
Come on, anybody who thinks suarez did not at the very least intend on taking a racial dig at evra is either naive, embroiled in childish tribalism or stupid...its almost like me been in argument with someone, then knowing that the person is fat, I put an arm around him and utter these words 'calm down fatty'...and then be astonish when the take offense to it....
ReplyDeleteFrench football in turmoil over ‘Blacks and Arabs’ quota controversy!
ReplyDeleteFrom last April May.
Is this the REAL reason the FA has used this race row to make a point to the French Football Federation that they will back the Black French footballers????????????????
No doubt the oldham lad deserves a few broken bones as well eh? God, you sad racist shithouses really do belong with your trophy cabinet. In the dark ages.
ReplyDeleteJustice? Lies? Fucking hell, it was chelsea fans at heysel, Michael shields was tucked up in bed at the time, only one or two fans ever sang about munich, stevie g never asked for a transfer, nor did him & all his hard bezzie mates attack a single bloke for the audacity of not playing Phil Collins, despite what the cctv may show. Now its evras fault. When will you lot ever be man enough to take responsibility for fuck all?
ReplyDeleteJust been reading how France have been having a racial problem from last year where they wanted to limit the number of Black/Arab players in French football mainly in youth teams.
ReplyDeletePart of an article from BBC website
The Football Association has defended its near perfect record in disciplinary cases last year involving clubs, players or managers.
Its Independent Regulatory Commission heard 473 cases between December 2010 and December 2011, but only two of them ended in "not guilty" verdicts.
People are asking questions!
You don't understand because you're not black. Go watch the recent John Barnes interview. He states that he's never felt affected by racist comments directed at him on the field but he accepts that he can't speak on behalf of anyone who suffers the same prejudice. People are individual in their reactions and while you may have dealt with being called a "fucking foreigner" I would safely bet that there are plenty of people who wouldn't have.
ReplyDeleteThe argument that Suarez has a black Grandfather (?) and so cannot be racist is ridiculous. He can still harbor racist views.
That being said I don't think Suarez runs around abusing black people on a regular basis. Possibly it is a cultural misunderstanding but even if that were the case, he's guilty of using (and admitting to the use of) the word 'negro' which is viewed as unacceptable.
Yes and that has no mention of the fact that he didn't hear any racist abuse. What was your point, to simply paint Evra as someone who was found guilty of engaging is physical misconduct?
ReplyDeleteSuarez bit someone when he got annoyed on the field.
Evra = Dead Man Walking...
ReplyDeletePretty much what he deserves. Its good to see a player has balls to tell it how it is... well said Alvaro :)
nah...
ReplyDeleteEvra won't even get into the team...
What happens on the pitch should stay on the pitch, that is the unwritten code of a footballer.Evra broke that rule ! Hasn't anyone ever heard of sticks & stones ? How much can the N bomb actually hurt a man earning 100k a week anyway ??? I feel so sorry for his emotional turmoil !!! Give me 100k a week and you can call me what you like !!!
ReplyDeleteEvra is a lying coward and hes a disgrace to the human race.Like all cowards when it comes to facing a traumatic situation which the anfield game will be he wont be anywhere near anfield. On the other hand when LFC play man utd at old trafford Luis will be there like the collossus he is,Luis is a great guy and the whole world is on Luis side which is the side of justice, apart from these pathetic anti-white groups and equally as pathetic man utd fans.Luis will thrive and he will personally destroy Man Utd at old trafford.
ReplyDeletetrue true sid... give me 5k a week and you can still call me anything you want!!!
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS ENGLAND FFS, NOT SOUTH AMERICA. IF SUAREZ CAN'T CONFORM TO BRITISH LIFE, THEN HE SHOULD KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT. SIMPLE
ReplyDeleteEverybody on their highhorse.
ReplyDeleteOut if curiousity would calling someone 'scouse/manc scum' not be considered racist and offensive?
Pipe down you fucken hypocrites!
not a dickie bird regarding wat evra said, whys that i wonder?? think poor suarez has taken his wrap aswell!!
ReplyDeletewake up, this is british life. get out more.........simple
ReplyDeleteEvra is a negro who is ashamed of his heritage. The 8-match ban of Suarez hasn't made him a white man. He is still a negro, a black, and an ugly one at that.
ReplyDeleteEvra is a little shit
ReplyDeletewhat on earth on you on about?
ReplyDeleteerm...you missed the point jj...by a mile
ReplyDeleteI'm a West Brom fan and I agree with the general view of the 'mancs' on this, so do a lot of non-manc fans. So get over yourself.
ReplyDeleteno, they like people who make insulting racist remarks
ReplyDeleteyou sound like a right idiot neanderthal. Were you one of the ones that booed Barnesy
ReplyDeletewhore
ReplyDeleteoh my god. Football turns people like this Che chump into right mindless animals.
ReplyDeleteLiverpool must be proud
1. Evra led the revolt because he was the captain of the team.
ReplyDelete2. The verbal argument was the coach going crazy because of the revolt, Evra never showed and disrespect for the coach on the contrary they are still on very good terms.
3. The handling of the incident is still very contentious in France.
4. The story about limiting the non white players had two things behind it, the first was that the French national youth setup grooms future Internatonal players but with a large number of players of North African origin they were declaring for their second country thus doing French kids out of a place. The second thing was something to do with the si of African players! I don't know what this has to do with anything though?
Read the report, watch a video, Giggs went to him.
ReplyDeleteReally, you think Suarez has been banned because the FA want to stick it to the French and support their Black player.
ReplyDeleteWow you do have an active imagination
Is England, that´s true, but Evra set up all the conflict in Spanish starting with an insult in spanish. So the "culture" of the conflict is what Negro means in uruguay not in England. If you serach the "Real Academia Española" the major authority regarding spanish language issues you could find that with more than 20 different meanings of the word none of them has racial connotations.
ReplyDeleteEl negro José (and is not a joke)
I was born in Uruguay, lived here for 25 years. I also spend 4 years in Spain, 1 in France and 2 in Thailand. Now hapilly I´m bak in Uruguay spending my holidays at Punta del Este.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any question about my culture?
You can call him a complete moron, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnd then Alvaro and his mates clock Gallas, M'Bami, Diaby, Diarra and Abidal, and suddenly they don't feel so brave.
ReplyDeleteWould love to see Suarez, Alvaro and any of his other mates try and call Mamadou Sakho a negro.
ReplyDeleteHey you fucking bastard!!!!!!!!!!! Do you know that suarez was condemned just on probabilities from you fucking b evra!!!!!!!!!! There isn't video evidence to prove that as well!!!!! And all this scene was started by evra!!!!!! Why didn't evra cope a ban??!!!!! He did say "Don't touch me you south american!!" So because he a manure player that's why he's free to do whatever he wants!!! The FA is the in-laws of United!!!!!!! Family Family you know!!!!! Anyways thank you for the red card to Kompany!!!! That wouldn't even have been a foul against another team, but its manure so....!!!!! See you for the 4th round!!!!
ReplyDeleteGiggs was the captain of the day!!!! So its he's duty to go to the referee!!! And he asked evra to calm down!!! He was such in tears that poor m _ _ _ _ y!!!
ReplyDeleteEvra was given VIP treatment!!!! Kust before the hearing he was shown the videos and Suarez wasn't!!!!! So the incident and the actions on the pitch for whatever happened was fresh in the mind of evra!!!! After 2 month do you remember everything that happened to you???!!!! Man be logical!!!! Isn't there schools universities in manchester???!!! Why do you behave as such idiots???? Do you lack education???
ReplyDeleteCalling him a stupid fool for supporting Suarez's clear and obvious bigotry...If black Uruguayans are cool with being disparaged than let them live with it, however Evra lives in the modern world and black men on this side of the world are not playing such a lame game
ReplyDeleteJJ - wtf does that have to do with the fact that Suarez made racist comments? Your biased support is telling!
ReplyDeleteWow,what utter rubbish...the idiot Suarez may not be a racist, however he was clearly using the word to demean Evra and maybe you should attempt making that argument in the suburbs of Paris...
ReplyDeleteSid you sad little man....
ReplyDeleteWin a trophy and your hatred might subside..don't blame ferguson and Evra for your clubs continued mediocre performances...
ReplyDeleteEvra is just a baby. after what he did in South Africa , who in the world can beleive in a litte crap like him...except you
ReplyDelete.
Suarez is NOT a racist. The FA made that very clear in their report. Suarez was given a ban based on the probability of him saying a word that offended Evra. Had the FA found Suarez to be racist the incident would have then become a criminal matter and would have gone to the courts where proof beyond all reasonable doubt would be required for a conviction. We all know that none of that proof would be forthcoming and the case would be thrown out.
ReplyDeleteThis is why the FA have so expertly massaged the Terry situation into one that will need to be proven beyond all reasonable doubt in the criminal courts. The evidence will mysteriously become not enough to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that Terry is racist, the case will be thrown out, the media will proclaim that the England captian is not racist and that it was proven in a court of law etc etc and the FA's interests remain squeeky clean all while allowing the media to brand Suarez a racist when they themselves said he was not.
I am not denying Suarez didn't call Evra negro. I question the amount of times it was alleged that he used the term and that Evra originally stated he was called a N***** and then changed it to negro as making him a credible witness. Suarez should be banned for being silly enough to use a term that can be misconstrued in England but 8 weeks is way over the top for what he did. I look forward to the outcomes of Terry case (where the racism was clear for all to see) and hope I am not proven correct in what I think will be the outcome.
A scam to have Suarez out! Man U can't handle his skills so the only way they can try and beat a new Reds is this way!
ReplyDeleteWatched the FA Cup game against Man City and at least 4 players were running to the ref to send off Kompany!
LOSERS!!!
Kompany should say that he was tageted and was sent off because he's black!
ReplyDeleteAggggghhhhh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy oh why oh why does everyone keep writing 'negro'?
Suarez and Evra were talking in Spanish. Negro is Black.
So Suarez said 'why, black?'.
Is that acceptable in England? Not for me, but a lot more acceptable than 'why, negro?' which is what the uninformed STILL keep thinking and still keep reading.
i think evra is living in the past we as black people can b called negros nowadays n dont give a heck coz that doesnt kill us make as u know what in the past it was really intmidating but not anymore we belive tht was past so Evra should not belittle himself n make a stupid fuss over this
ReplyDeleteDon't be an idiot.Suarez himself said that he used the word 'negro'.This is racist and liverpool's poor handling of the situation has caused some of their supporters to be ok with racism. This is not ok.
ReplyDeletei think you got it the wrong way round mate its MOST (not me) LFC fans that cant see the truth. What suarez said is wrong in the uk.
ReplyDeleteIt's not hearsay when suarez says he said 'negro'.It's not ok.You bias liverpool supporters are ridiculous and making the rest of your supporters look ignorant
ReplyDeleteLOL.Suarez admitted to saying 'negro'.It's racist, simple. He is actually lucky he was not charged by the police and locked up.It is a crime and punishable by law.Especailly after the accused admitted to the racial slurs
ReplyDeleteLOL.The only people supporting suarez is liverpool and a player from uruguay.Suarez admitted to saying 'negro'.It's racist, simple. He is actually lucky he was not charged by the police and locked up.It is a crime and punishable by law.Especailly after the accused admitted to the racial slurs
ReplyDeleteREAL TALK
ReplyDeleteExcuse me but was your race subject to hundreds of years of persecution. Were the women in your family raped.Men and children forced to be slaves and then also killed. It's simply not ok to be racist.I cannot believe these liverpool supporters. You have dragged your club through the mud.
ReplyDeleteanother typical racist liverpool response.Your club has become an absolute disgrace
ReplyDeleteliverpool is now officially a racist club.Well done for allowing one incident of racism to bring your club down.
ReplyDeletesuarez admitted to calling evra 'negro'.You dont need more evidence than that when the accused admits.Dumbass
ReplyDeleteits no guess.Suarez said he called evra a 'negro'.
ReplyDeleteLol from a Turkish person this is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how hard you Turks try to be European you'll never be accepted as European.
Your Muslims and you boarder Syria added to the fact ask any Turkish person living in Germany how well they are treated and that there is no racism towards them.
You are a clown and deluded with your position...you are not white your Asian look where your country is ....LOL
The biggest club in the world of any sport with over 300 million supporters the most successful club in English league .Please let not our fans drop to the level of Liverpool ,they have their own level.
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess a football player who did this should be banned for 8 games and you'd think that reasonable?
ReplyDeleteIF ANY OF YOUR BAD ASS KEYBOARD WARRIORS WHO THINK THAT YOU CAN RACIALLY ABUSE BLACK PEOPLE I SAY THIS.
ReplyDeleteGET YOUR COAT ON GO TO MANCHESTER, LIVERPOOL, BRIXTON, HACKNEY IN LONDON OR ANY HEAVILY BLACK POPULATED AREAS IN THE UK AND START CALLING BLACK PEOPLE THE WORDS THAT SUAREZ DID OR THAT BRAVE IDIOT WHO ABUSED THE OLDHAM PLAYER.
PLEASE RECORD YOUR ACTIONS AND POST THEM ON YOUTUBE.
IF YOU MAKE IT BACK COME AND POST ON THESE BOARDS.
OTHERWISE STOP BEING A KEYBOARD WARRIOR MAN UP GO AND TRY THESE WORDS WITH BLACK PEOPLE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
YOU COWARDS!
I never said anything racist..There was one moron at Liverpool's last match and he will never get inside Anfield again!
ReplyDeleteYou like to get a grip on Evra? What a guy comment from a Loserpool fan.
ReplyDeleteNo one is saying its ok to racially abuse black people.
ReplyDeleteNo one.
Suarez was using language that's normal and non racist in Uruguay.
His own wife calls him 'black' (or 'negro' in Spanish).
He claims he didn't mean it in a racist way with Evra.
It's up to you whether you believe it but it's without argument that the language experts agreed its not racist in Uruguay.
I personally, as a liverpool fan, think it is acceptable here, but it's simply wrong to say racism is condoned. It's not. Even the commission and Evra agreed Suarez was not racist.
Sorry - 'do NOT think its acceptable here' that should have said.
ReplyDeleteIf we say your a black bastard were racist
ReplyDeleteIf THEY say your a white bastard that's not racist.??
What do we call them if we can't say Negro I thought Negro
Was the polite way of saying There Black
Since when is racism okay? I really don't care about your petty rivalries, but you're a complete idiot if you approve Suarez' behavior. Same goes for Pereira, he clearly has no idea what has happened in the world if you laugh about racism. No, it's not okay. No, we shouldn't allow it in any sport. And yes, Suarez deserves the ban. Footballers aren't the brightest chaps around, are they?
ReplyDeleteAn incident based on probability, not by witnesses Really the FA should have thrown out a case that the CPS would not and did not bring to Court due to a lack of provable facts. When I see the video of Evra in his hotel room I wonder what kind of person he is.
ReplyDeletego drop kick someone you mug
ReplyDeleteI think war between Uruguay and Portugal is inevitable. Arms supplier would be England and the England FA has replaced the Crown Agents as the world's biggest middle man.
ReplyDeleteThere was that other racism incident with John Terry and Anton Ferdinand that also happened and was seemingly far more serious but no-one seems to be particularly interested in?
ReplyDeletethis is what happens when inbreds have sex.
ReplyDeletewilliamtwhitejr:
ReplyDeleteI saw your post and wanted to respond. I'm a "Black" American and proud to call myself a "Black" American. I do not prefer African-American because I was born and raised in the US. I do have friends who prefer African American. My wife is from Trinidad and Tobago and they find the term "black" very offensive. They call "blacks" negroes .....which is extremely offensive to Black / African Americans.
Eric u are really the pr*ck here mate as well as the dude with the threats.
ReplyDeleteEvra did not claim he was a racist in fact, claimed he believes him not to be racist. The report , if manu fans actually care to read it rather than making up their own biased minds also stated he is not racist and that he is not charged as such. He has used a word that can be taken in differing terms and that can cause offense, of which he admitted to. He is only convicted as a racist by some small minded press who want a story that the the glory hunting plastic fans of Utd would buy into due to their biased nature and of coarse by the scum fans themselves.
Who is backing what happened to the Oldham lad like??? no one, the fans are not happy about that either. If you think for one moment that your crowd does not contain racists then you may need to take a much closer look at them and society. Oh and learn to read.
So if Suarez's wife can use Negro then it should be acceptable really. The world should listen to Suarez's wife and do as she says.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Suarez married to? the Pope???
no doubt this idiot is angling for a move to bnp fc with his mate sewerez
ReplyDeleteEvra also stated Suarez is not a racist.
ReplyDeleteThe report also stated hes convicted for using a word that may cause offense and due to differing meanings etc was NOT convicted on racism out right but for a word that could be interpreted as such.
Again the only ones convicting him of actual racism is man utd fans cos it suits them
5 times....d***head
ReplyDeletecos its not liverpool and utd fans are the most vocal when it comes to our club. They even like to make up their own reports rather than read the one published too.
ReplyDeleteRandall don't start gettin personal from behind your keyboard lad just because I have a view you don't appreciate. You have missed the point. He said the word, but wasn't being racist by it, usin it as an adjective, but the FA decided he 'probably' meant to be racist and he 'probably' said it 7 times and Evra 'probably' had a go at telling the truth. This is just like I think your 'probably' a cretin.
ReplyDeleteI think and this could be a long shot, that Evra wound Suarez up, maybe called him something and that is why Suarez said the black word (all in spanish). Suarez admitted using this word as he thought nothing of it, which in turn convicted himself. Evra admitted use abusive words but the FA said sweet fa to this. 50/50 situation handled badly by FA, and the clubs both should have been banned and fined. and enough said. The biased side of me thinks that Suarez made Evra look like an amateur last season and revenge was sweet. But I guess that is just one of many motives that Evra could of had PROBABLY!
ReplyDeleteJust curious. I'd be interested to know what term England use for a black person's ethnicity in their Census, considering it's offensive to refer to one's skin colour in England?
ReplyDeleteDon - surely you appreciate that the meaning of the word is derived from the context in which it is used? Suarez used it in a hostile context, thus it's acceptable to infer negative intent.

Keep up, it's actually being taken far more seriously, it's going to court. The Fa cannot do anything until that has been resolved.
ReplyDeleteYou can't go around calling every Liverpool fan a racist. If you want to call me a racist then I hope you've got a good solicitor.
ReplyDeleteOh and watch that huge chip on your shoulder doesn't fall off and break your foot!
I haven't read or heard anything from official sources that Liverpool is now a racist club.
ReplyDeleteYou really are a bitter and twisted person aren't you? You seem to have several axes to grind
No country in the world likes being told they are racist especially from a colonialist power like England or Spain when they kicked them out of the country and got their independence!
ReplyDeleteAfro community in Uruguay have a good life compared with th rest of the world, but could be better like anywhere in the world even in this country.

ReplyDeleteRead the news!!!
Bit strange a player being racially abused is ignored by his own players, remember there are 3 incidents!
ReplyDeleteGiggs who wasn't the captain went to him 5 minutes after the incident asking what was wrong how thoughtful!
Why did he start a fight then?????????

Who gives a shit. This isnt racism idiots. Its like calling someone red neck, wog, Italian, etc stc. Its on the field and it stays on the field. Like boxing, kickboxing, UFC they exchange words they beat each other silly and they make up at the end. What is said in the ring stays in the ring. IDIOTIC people.
ReplyDeleteEvra is living very much in the present and you my accepting amigo are the one that is demeaning not only yourself but every self respecting black person that finds racism intolerable...who are you self loathing people? wow!!!
ReplyDeleteOne alleged incident I think you mean. Check out the number of so called racist incidents at other clubs and have the honesty in telling us what your REAL agenda is on this site
ReplyDeleteI don't think dear old Patrice will fancy it somehow
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Evras legs...
ReplyDeleteWhen Suarez kicked Evra and he went down with his knee swelling up, Suarez turned around and said "F@#K, look at that knee grow", and this your honour is where the misunderstanding began...
Can you read? Suarez admitted that he made the comment. Wtf does United players have to do with that? The fact that you and many on this blog continue to support Suarez's behavior is proof positive that LFC and it's fan base are racially biased....
ReplyDeleteHi Randall, you seem fairly intelligent but you're missing a massive point. Is "noir" racist? Is "schwarz" racist? No. Is "negro" racist? Not in Spanish / Portugese speaking countries which is why Suarez was not convicted of racially abusing Evra. History and European countries involvement in the slave trade is how "negro" came into the English language, bear in mind it's not an English word, and many years on here in England we have a different interpretation of the word. What would you have thought if Suarez called Evra "crioulo" (literally creloe)? I bet you'd have wondered why Suarez was referring to Evra as some sort of southern American food! Actually this would have been a Latin American racial slur, but you, I and the majority of uninformed English people would have had an instant different interpretation. Hopefully you'll see it's not quite so easy to label someone racist when you've not considered all the points or maybe only those offered by the English media. Remember, Suarez was not convicted of racially abusing Evra. Just to add one last thing, if any of our fans racially abused Tom from Oldham they should be banned by the club for life and prosecuted through the courts.
ReplyDeleteOr just maybe you don't need to reference a person's skin colour when addressing them. Or is that too complex?
ReplyDeleteNon Liverpool fans trying to stick the boot in, why don't you have a read of this.

The fact of the matter is the FA had no evidence, no video footage and based their findings on 1 man vs another. They based it all on probabilities, so even if they believe you are 49% truthful, you will be guilty based on a swing of 2%. In such cases as a racism case, is this how it should of been handled. I also think you should learn the differences between "Neg-gro" and "knee-gro" both spelt "Negro" (reasons why Glen Johnson backs Suarez as he obviously knows the difference. Or are you going to call him a Racist too)
Oh and this by a Professor from Brown University in America. Far more prestigious than 2 English blokes who happened to be from Manchester university:

Also saying that Uruguay live in the dark ages. I think you need to do some research. They aloud for the Black community and any other community for that matter to be integrated together much sooner than we ever did and had Black players representing their country at Football in the earlier parts of the 1900's.
The whole thing is a mess, from Suarez (mainly legal team), Evra AND the FA due to the fact that the '115' page report had holes poked repeatedly through it because of the imbalance and 'probabilities' argument etc. They even went as far as making the report FAR bigger than it should of been because of the bigger font and the double spacing etc. Makes for easier reading but really the report is about 77 pages long and not 115.
Oh yeah and this one by Tim Vickery who has lived in South America for just over 17 years.
ReplyDeletehttp://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/tim-vickery/blog/1087477/Suarez-paying-too-heavy-a-penalty
First Off I am a avid Liverpool Fan and have been for nearly 20 years. I am also a Greek Cypriot.
ReplyDeleteFirst things first, whilst I do not think Suarez is a racist, I do think he was an idiot for saying what he said.
The best thing he could of done was not say anything to Evra as this would of been wound Evra even more.
Do I think Suarez deserved a 8 match ban, not for 8 matches but a ban yes. However I also feel the FA should of banned Evra as well as he did admitted to insult Suarez.
Not as long as Suarez but a ban none the less.
Overall both players deserved a ban for simply being idiots.
The issue for me has mainly been with the way the FA handled this case.
They took far too long. They should of conducted the interviews the following week, made a decided on whether there was enough evidence to charge Suarez and if so to have a open hearing for all to see and hear.
By doing this you the issue would of been dealt with quickly and not allowed to fester, there would not have any of the many conspiracy theory's that you have now and the matter would be put to bed.
Also while I understand the Club, Manager, Staff and Players wanting to support Suarez, the whole T-Shirt incident was a bad idea.
I'm sure with hindsight those involved wished that they put out a simple statement stating their backing of Suarez and that they would make no further comments until the FA made their decision and then kept quiet.
As for the John Terry incident, my gut feeling is the FA will bottle it.
If the Police and CPS feel their is enough evidence to take John Terry to court then surely Terry must be facing a Ban.
If he is found guilty then the FA must given him a considerable ban, a lot more then the 8 matches they gave to Suarez since he wasn't charge as making a racial insult.
On a final note, I find Fergies comments about not seeing a need for both teams to come together and release a statement childish.
Their has always been hostilities between the 2 sets of supports but at the moment it has reach quite a ridiculous amount.
I read a lot of Liverpool Fans forums and have been ashamed at some of the disgraceful comments being made.
The incident at Oldham was also shameful. Yes you will always get idiots but the fact that the fans who were surrounding the individual who verbally assaulted Tom Adeyemi didn't then immediately notify the stewards to have him removed is even more shameful.
Right now what Liverpool Supporters need to do is to draw a line and move one.
Then need to stop the stupid chants, stop inflaming the situation as it is only making things worse.
My hope is that this happens but I fear things are only going to get worse.
He claimed he was abused but never stated it was racial. He was warming down with the rest of the team on the pitch at Stamford Bridge, having just lost a match. Chelsea's grounds keeper apparently kicked things off and Evra reacted.
ReplyDeleteI recall that the word used, which Phelan recounted for the panel, was 'immigrant'.
'Prevaricate' means that somebody gives false and incriminating information. LIE
ReplyDeleteIronically, prevaricate is an anagram of Patrice Evra.
So funny to read all the hillarious comments people come up with, it really shows a lack of understanding and insight to this case.
ReplyDelete1. Suarez was never found guilty of being a racist, even though this seems to be hard to grasp for the media and general public of supporters that don't bother reading the report.
2. There is a clear cultural difference between the two players involved. Since where Suarez is comming from using the word Negro is common and not looked upon as racist or offencive. If Evra found it offencive then, shit happens. Ask all players in the world and see how many similar cases you will find...
3. Liverpool are NOT supporting a racist, but a player that is being called one without being convicted as one. So instead of tossing retarded and bs remarks around, get your facts straight.
4. If what happened during the Oldham match really was a supporter being racially offensive, I hope he will be prosecuted by the police and banned from Anfield for life.
So just to say it once more, Suarez is NOT a racist, and NOT found guilty of such a crime. So by going around calling him one is the same as we going around calling you one.
YNWA
Excuse me Micheal Shields has been given a pardon because he was innocent even Jack Straw had to admit to that. So perhaps you'll like to withdraw your claim? I doubt it though and don't start me on what Man U fans have done down the years. I accept it's a minority but you lot jump on the actions of a few idiots who support Liverpool and claim all Liverpool fans are like that. O and go learn the truth about Heysel, there were many factors which led to that horrific night, yes some Liverpool fans did charge the wall but look at everything else that had been going on for the previous few hours, weeks and year. and you'll get a clearer idea of the factord that caused that horrible disaster.
ReplyDeletePereira is a cretine! Just because you come from a culture that hasnt fully emraced equality, don't feel hard done by becuase your idiotic compatriot used racist slurs whilst residing in a developed culture here.
ReplyDeleteAll of you ABU egg's slating Evra above, well you'd all probably fit in on the dusty streets of Uruguay - go give it a go you eggs!!
OK, i'm neither a LFC nor Man U fan, Suarez made racial comments but does not make him a racist. People in this country love headline stories and when it comes to cases like this, will want to read what they want to hear so they will chew the person to bits. The FA's report is grossly flawed with holes left, right and centre. The surprising thing is that every jack and jill chose to be a snob and brand suarez a racist, thats all they want to say and hear, no one is interested in what Evra might have said to suarex about his sister. Considering there is there is no evidence about what suarez said, lets take a look at Terry's case, which suddenly has been overtaken by suarez's case. The FA, the public, tv pundits and the press all have come down on suarez like a tonne of bricks, just to make a point to Blatter. Now, will the same people, the FA, the public, tv pundits and the press give the same treatment to Terry? I doubt. Why? He is a white local born and bred boy, England's captain and FA's beloved son and still is even with the video evidence against him. Come on then UK, lets have a go at Terry! And yes, i'm black!
ReplyDeleteWho's backing it? Probably the knobs on here on about breaking peoples legs.
ReplyDeleteI'm more than aware that there are plenty of racists in society, I'm also aware that your fans threw bananas at john Barnes on his debut, thoughlike most things, you lot try & pretend it didn't happen. No doubt that was chelsea fans as well eh?
Manchester has been a multicultural city for many decades, & united have had many black players. Yeah, a real fucking BNP breeding ground eh?
ReplyDelete@1aab222e8a10f3877f4dc5ffbf78c2e9
ReplyDeleteDon't be a joke! Just so you a frog lives in the well to know that the world is formed by multiple cultures and races. So accept that the same word or sign may be interpreted as racist, it may not else where. Evra lives in the modern world but did he act like one? Evra is a hypocrite, period!
Excuse me the FA and Evra accept and say Suarez is not racist. He made a comment which he should not have but what about Evra's comments? And as for your claim that LFC's fan base are racially biased is complete nonsense. Fans have backed Suarez because that's what fans do, United fans would have backed Evra if (as he should in my opinion) he had been charged with his comments about Suarez's sister. And if you are refering to Friday night it's very intresting that Liverpool players went to comfort the lad, the club has done all it can to help identify the person who supposedly (legalities) who abused the player, and furthermore every LFC supporter I know has come on condemning racism.
ReplyDeleteMissing letters out to hide your racist blast now?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad little prick & point proven really.
You are a fool - go back to sleep!
ReplyDeleteSo Evra's derogatory reference to Suarez's Spanish heritage is accepted as part of a modern world approach...
ReplyDeletego back to bed you silly 'boy'
ReplyDeleteYou should go back to bed also, you 'silly small minded boy'
ReplyDeleteUnited Complex... you seem to be commenting on a Liverpool website when clearly you are not a fan of the club. I think there is a complex there as you seem to be getting very irritated by other fans reactions. grow up and go away.
ReplyDeleteJamie,if you hav'n't already, why not show the 'video' of Evra ranting and raving about 'Black ------',in his hotel? room!
ReplyDeletenegro negro negro. by the way, negro is not a racist word. hey everyone, why waste time with these morons. there are here to rile you up. just ignore them and hope evra and rooney end up with foot injuries this year. not unheard of you know, with karma being a bitch and all.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that most LFC fans would argue with that, but I would like to hear what you have to say about the 'video' that was released, clearly showing Evara ranting about Black -------'s
ReplyDeleteThat is an incorrect statement. Liverpool fans have never thrown Banana's at John Barnes and it wasn't on his debut. I do believe the banana's were thrown by evertonians during a derby match at Anfield. It is also widely accepted that ENGLAND fans never took to barnes playing for the national side and would regularly boo him. This is believed to be because he was A black Jamaican. now if i'm mistaken England fans include fans from all the different clubs in England. There fore i believe Man United must be a racist club. Please go away, get your facts straight, stop grasping exaggerated and incorrect stories you antagonistic moron.
ReplyDeleteIm black and if anyone called me a negro its f**king on. I arent being spoken to in that racist manner why not call me a c**t why you race to insult me? And any other black person that says its cool can do one as 90% of all black people WORLDWIDE wouldnt have it. Sorry mate racist slur is a racist slur FACT!!!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely irrelevant ! Grow up !
ReplyDeleteEven I don't get what your on about and how it relates here
ReplyDeleteYou are a 'plonker'
ReplyDeleteI like football, so therefore I'm entitled to comment on anything football-related. Plenty to do with me and the rest that like football. Grow up.
ReplyDeleteYou just cannot help yourself can you.Go and have a lie down for an hour or two,you may wake up feeling a bit better!
ReplyDeleteWow, you sound like a right retarded neanderthal idiot. Wouldn't surprise me if you were a hooligan too.
ReplyDeleteAs a Liverpool fan, I don't care what other fans think.
ReplyDeleteThis is another reason why I have never and will never support England. Cheer along side the fans who shout abuse at Liverpool each week? No. I cheer teams that play against England.
Most people having a go at Liverpool, care not one jot about racism, they are doing it because they dislike Liverpool.
If they cared about racism, then why not talk about the 4 fans arrested at Aston Villa for racist remarks or the 2 arrested at Old Trafford this season? Liverpool's first was last week.
Every club has its mindless idiots or are you saying that if
ReplyDeleteone person in a crowd holds the views of every one.
If that was the case
then the 276 Man Utd fans arrested for various offences in the 2010-11
season [110 arrests more than Liverpool] were just loyal honest fans! I may add
that in amongst that figure are 2 arrests for racist or indecent chanting [No
arrests were made at Liverpool for the same offence in the same season]
According to figures
released Man Utd fans are the worst in the Premier league. These are FACTS! The
idiots who allegedly racially abused Tom Adeyemi should be named and shamed and
banned for life, all clubs have bad fans and Man Utd are no better!
To get back on track Evra and the FA have called 400 Million people racists!! He will get what he deserves within the letter of the law on an International Football pitch
tosser
ReplyDeleteLMAO Equality? Uruguay started picking Black players in early 1900's for their national Football team. When did we start doing that? Your comments about Uruguay and it's people are clearly Xenophobic and paints you as hypocritical. Well done.
ReplyDeleteshame you can't spell targeted?
ReplyDeleteIf both feet leave the ground its a two footed tackle and that is a red card.
Thats the rules get used to it
The commission and Evra don't know whether Suarez is racist or not, but it's irrelevant as he was charged and found guilty of racist abuse, not being a racist. That decision was made after the cultural linguistic differences were taken into account.
ReplyDeleteNegro can be used affectionately in South America, but it can also be used to cause offence. Given that Suarez is a snide, cheating little bastard who has demonstrated many times in the past that he would stop at little to gain an advantage, I would not be surprised if he would resort to such measures.
Evra said he used it many times, and specified the context. Suarez said he used it just once, and specified the context. The commission's job was to review the evidence, gain an impression on the character and integrity of the respective parties, and make a judgement. That's how these things work. They found Evra to be honest, consistent, reasonable and balanced. Suarez came across as a lying cunt. So they found in favour of Evra. Simple, really.
