Liverpool FC has today banned journalists from the Daily Mirror from Anfield after it ran a negative story on Luis Suarez using the headline 'RACIST'.
As I argued earlier today, the FA did NOT convict Suarez of being racist; they did not even argue that he used a word relating to Patrice Evra's race.
Suarez was convicted of using an insulting word that made reference to Evra's colour, something that does not automatically mean Suarez is racist.
The day after the FA banned Suarez for 8 games, The Mirror ran the following story:
The Mirror's headline is totally out of order, and Suarez should now SUE for defamation of character.

Daily Mirror in IK is equivalent to Utusan Malaysia in Malaysia. Both papers are "Puki Mak" in character and hostile to Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteSuch papers should be banned from minds and houses, not only from certain institutions.
ReplyDeleteThese papers are just full of gossip and other rubbish!
ReplyDeleteI don't buy tabloids, but I asked the guy at my local Chinese if I could have their copy of the Mirror. It's now hanging in my toilet serving its appropriate purpose.
ReplyDeleteHaha for those who don't understand it, don't try to, it gets the comment banned XD!
ReplyDeleteThis poor guy has be convicted unfairly and has not yet been given the opportunity to defend himself and already he is being called a racist. All these newspapers are interested in is going on a witch hunt to destroy someone's life just to make money. It's a nasty nasty world we live in today. These newspapers are just full of shit, print some real news are just f**k off.
ReplyDeleteWhoever sanctioned the headline is in deep shit if Suarez decides to take it further
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the article, but because of the ridiculous outcome of the hearing and the statement LFC put out Evra can also sue LFC for defamation of character because of what it said about him. Now im not siding with Evra i hate the grimey cunt. This will go on for along time until the right outcome is made and them blue nosed toffs in the FA get their house in order
ReplyDeletefirst the sun, now the mirror. they're all f***ed up papers.
ReplyDeleteThink that calling the Mirror a newspaper is being overly generous. A scurrilous rag that that richly deserves this ban which I sincerely hope will be in perpetuity
ReplyDeletelol, I am most delighted to hear your comments...spot on...
ReplyDeleteProbably the first wise thing Liverpool have done about this Suarez thing, since Suarez was charged months ago.
ReplyDeleteA newspapers written by morons for morons. Enough said.
ReplyDeletehey jamie i know we are in different places when it comes to rafa..but do you think if suarez would ave said what he said to the uruguayan media(i dont know what he said)if he had meant to offend him..and about those who say he lived in europe 4 yrs he should know better,Tevez has lived in england for 5 yrs and yet he cant complete a sentence,is it fair to expect suarez to know the difference in culture and what he should say and what he shouldnt..P.S. i dont think its fair to talk about evra's prior accusations since it is not true..
ReplyDeleteTHE LIVERPOOL ECHO IS OWNED BY MIRROR GROUP NEWSPAPERS AS IS THE DAILY MAIL WHICH EMPLOYS THE ODIOUS KELVIN MACKENZIE - A BOYCOT IS IN ORDER.
ReplyDeleteGutted, the mirror was me national news read, they ve let us down and I will never buy the Daily Mirror again
ReplyDeleteThis country is dire,is it me or are over half the population just complete idiots who have no opinion themselves so just go with mass hysteria so theyve got something to agree with.I cant understand how Arry Redknapp has any respect as he writes for the scum and influences the masses with his opinions and also has his son on sky being his mouthpiece like when he said Rafa brainwashes the liverpool fans.i cant stand the Redknapps i cant stand newspapers surely its a conflict of interets for the Redknapps to own the media to spout their drivel to the masses who are incapable of forming an opinion.
ReplyDeleteSuarez has not been judged by a court of any kind only 3 Man UTD fans. Consequently, they should not make sueable comments. When they are not hacking phones they are making misleading comments.
ReplyDeleteDumbass. Daily Mirror is a tabloid, am I right? Utusan is a mainstream newspaper, like the Times. Nak tunjuk pandai. Like these people care what P**IMAK is. Are you ready for 9 Jan 2012 9 Jan 2012?
ReplyDeletehe Mirror group has NO ownership in common with the Daily Mail. It is owned by Daily Mail and General Trust. Typing in Capital letters is not only infantile but only emphasises the fact that ignorance or deliberate lies show a complete inability to phrase an adul;t argument. For grown ups, the Mail and Mirror are diametrically opposed in editorail and philosophy. Dopn't let these minor facts spoil a good childish tantrum. Which paper to boycott then ? The Mirror or the Mail. Hmm better do both to be on the safe side. The comment by INSTANBULWIN is deeply embarrassing to Liverpool fans and opens them up to ridicule. Surely nobody wants to dilute their anger by being represented by cretins.
ReplyDeleteCareful, you'll wipe more shit on than you'll get off!
ReplyDeleteis mcgrath a racist for picking out glen johnson to criticise ?
ReplyDeleteI believe this article would have more potential for a defamation case than your previous article on SAF comment.
ReplyDeleteyour typo's need to be in order
ReplyDeletebetul betul...hehe
ReplyDeleteIf you are black you are black. No amount of banning will make you a white!
ReplyDeleteFor Daily Mirror - Read Man Utd - it even gets printed there etc etc

ReplyDeleteAs dalglish pointed out the FA has set a dangerous tone in its 'support' of on pitch violence and now stance to 'racial' slurs on the pitch.
ReplyDeleteOn a grand stage many point to the FA vs Sepp Blatter as the real battle, and if Liverpool take this to arbitration and win then it will be Sepp blatter 2-English FA -0: With an even bigger black eye given the FA's ineffectiveness on fan behaviour.
LMFAO!!!. That is truly the best comment I've heard in 2011. Still laughing!!.
ReplyDeleteThank you my supporters, Bobrbpg and the rest, you really make my day. Livmad, where are you.
