INJURY UPDATE: Latest on Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has provided an update on the fitness of Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.

In his weekly press conference a few minutes ago, Dalglish said:

"Steven, since they found the infection, has really been progressing extremely well. Everything's positive for him.

"We found the infection, and I suppose it's a bit like flu; you know you've got it but you don't know where it came from, but they're treating it, and it's responding really well".

on Carra:

"We'll take a raincheck on Carra, and see how he is for Saturday. If he's not going to be right, then he's not going to be right, but as a football club, we're much better with those two fit. They've been fantastic servants, and it was a great achievement for the boys to get a result at West Brom without them".

  1. No rush as it's all about the squad, not the team!!!!!

  2. "it was a great achievement for the boys to get a result at West Brom without them"A great Achievement!!!  A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT!! How much did he spend?....and it's still a great achievement to beat a poor baggies side without one player who is sadly passed it and another who hardly plays.  Kenny seriously needs to stop putting out these Hodgson type quotes.
