PEPE REINA on tonight's game against Stoke City

Liverpool have not beaten Stoke City on their own ground for 11 years now, but Pepe Reina is confident Liverpool can get a result tonight, and his eyes are firmly fixed on Wembley, and winning the Carling Cup.

Reina, who has kept only 1 clean sheet in the last 10 games, is aware that the route to the final will not be easy:

"There’s still a long way to go, and we have a really tough game at the Brittania stadium.

"We know how difficult it is to beat them there, but we trust ourselves, and we know we’re doing better in this competition this year, and hopefully we’ll get to the final".

Does the intense atmosphere at the Brittania put him off in any way? Not at all!

"It’s enjoyable when you’re involved in this kind of atmosphere you find yourself in your best mood, with the supporters shouting right at you, and plenty of noise in the stadium, so that’s good for any player".

Reina admits that winning the Carling Cup is a priority for Liverpool:

"It’s our target...It would mean a lot to play at Wembley in the semi-final or the final...and hopefully we can do it".

  3. I totally hate games against stoke, they're so anti football team with that physical system of the game their defenders like monsters , long throw ins by delap makes the whole game boring and nothing attractive, we'll find it very difficult there as always just hope we get some luck tonight because without it I cant see us winning there even with our best line up, dont know how Kenny will  play it we could see some new faces there like coates hendo carroll spearing maxi depends how kenny will approach it , I personally would play a strong team because its the only trophy we could win this season so why not go for it. I think it will be a long night we could go even in penalties which I wouldnt like that players would be tired to death or get injuried.

  6. Yea I hate football when the other team doesn’t just lay down & allow us to do what we want .

I have no guts & I don’t even like sport I just like to see images of glory , people lifting trophy’s & medals & that kinda thing , but I hate to watch them earn it .

I dont like real life , I live in my own wee world .
