Sign for Liverpool? Klopp wants 'incredible' £35m attacker who's 'like Robben'. Club will sell

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly planning a move for one Inter Milan's stars of the season.

According to the Liverpool Echo:

"Liverpool have joined the race for Ivan Perisic who is now back on Jurgen Klopp's radar after a string of eye-catching displays"

Gazetta Dello Sport further claims that Inter are willing to sell Perisic for £35m.

Liverpool were last linked with Perisic in July 2016, and at the time, ex-Red Danny Murphy raved:

"Ivan Perisic has been one of the stars of the tournament [Euro 2016] for me. His power and running ability is phenomenal".

Some info about Perisic:

* Left-winger, who can also play on the right. Current contract expires: 2020.

* Played for Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp for two years (2011-2013).

* Dortmund: 12 goals/7 assists in 64 games (One every 129 mins)

* Inter Milan: 16 goals/10 assists in 62 games (One every 167 mins)

* Apr 2016: Perisic's Agent talked up a transfer to Chelsea: 'The Premier League is the best league in the world and Chelsea is a massive club so we would happily talk about it.'

* Oct 2016: Davor Suker's assessment: "He [Perisic] is incredible; he has strength, talent and a knack of scoring. He's decisive like [Arjen] Robben".

This link is a little surprising given Perisic's negative history with Klopp:

* Nov 2012: Frustrated by a lack of playing time at BVB, Perisic moanded: "I cannot be pleased with my situation. I don't get a lot of time on the pitch. When I play I score, but when I don't score, I am not an option for the next three games".

* When specifically asked about Klopp, Perisic added: "We have no relationship. He is the best coach in Germany right now, so everyone accepts the subordinate role".

* Upon hearing Perisic's comments, Klopp scathed: "Public whining belongs to kindergarten. He [Perisic] should shut his mouth and make the coach select him – not complain to reporters".

Granted, this is over four years ago, but I can't see Perisic wanting to play under Klopp again, especially when he's coming into the twilight of his career.
