Anfield-bound? Liverpool Reps fly out to watch 'world-class' sensation who wants LFC transfer

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for FC Rostov sensation Sardar Azmoun.

On Thursday, confirmed that he is open to an 'offer' from Liverpool, and according to Star Sport today:

"Liverpool have sent scouts to watch FC Rostov forward Sardar Azmoun, who is just one of a number of players that Liverpool have been watching recently".

The story so far:

* Oct 2016: The Guardian claimed: "Liverpool have monitored Azmoun and are considering an offer".

* Nov 2016: ESPN reported: "A source has told ESPN that Azmoun would be keen on a move to Liverpool".

* Nov 2016: Azmoun's agent, Mehdi Hagitali, told ESPN: "I read about the interest from Liverpool. If some proposals come, we will look at them."

Azmoun recently admitted that his 'dream' is to 'play in England', so a move to the Premier League seems inevitable at some point.

That said, after watching him in the Champions League this season, Azmoun arguably lacks the physicality to be effective in the Premier League, and I doubt he'd make an immediate impact if the Reds brought him to Anfield in January.

* Oct 2015: Hailed by Iran boss Carlos Queiroz as 'world-class'
