Neymar raves: €53m Liverpool star is a 'great player'; I want him 'at Barcelona'

Brazilian maestro Neymar has once again urged Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho to join him at Barcelona.

Neymar first engaged in quasi tapping-up last season, when he told ESPN:

"I see many Brazilian players with quality, but one that I like and I think could play here is Coutinho. He has the style of Barcelona."

In an interview over the weekend, Neymar enthused:

"Coutinho is a great player, I'd like to play with him at Barça".

On Sunday, Coutinho grabbed another goal and an assist to bring his season tally to 12 goals/assists in 12 games, which is an excellent return for the Brazilian, but it's still some way behind Neymar, who is currently on 17 goals/assists in 13 games.

Is Coutinho committed to Liverpool? I'm not so sure. If he is, he surely shouldn't be fanning the flames of speculation by visiting Barcelona's hotel and mixing with their players, as he did last week when Barca were in town to play Man City.

This is Luis Suarez all over again. Suarez had the season of his life in 2013-14, and then quit Anfield after taking Liverpool to the brink of the title. History is (IMO) repeating itself.
