'Match-winner': Arsenal/LFC legends insists €49m Liverpool 'superstar' will destroy Man Utd tonight. Overconfidence?

Who will be the key player during tonight's Premier League clash between Man United and Liverpool?

According to Phil Thompson, Matt Le Tissier, and Paul Merson, the verdict is unanimous. When asked to name their 'key man' for tonight's game, all four chose Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane.

* Thompson: "The big one is going to be Mane, mainly because of his pace. I think can exploit Man United [and] cause tremendous problems".

* Le Tissier: "He [Mane] is a match-winner...and seems to be in one of those streaks of form where he's playing as good as anybody".

* Merson: "Mane has really impressed me. He's been quick, sharp and chipped in with goals. He can blow a little hot and cold, but...I think he will be too lively for Manchester United".

Can Mane live up to this hype? Well, after triumphantly proclaiming over the weekend that Liverpool 'will beat Manchester United', the (self-inflicted) pressure is on for him to deliver on his gloating claim.

After that comment, if Liverpool go on to lose the game, and Mane doesn't perform, he's going to look pretty silly.
