Fowler raves: 'Exceptional' £30m Liverpool star could play for 'any club in the world'. Agree?

Daniel Sturridge continues to be a polarising figure amongst Liverpool fans, pundits, and ex-Reds, but one thing that isn't in doubt is his prodigious talent. When fully fit, Sturridge is inarguably one of Europe's most lethal strikers, and according to club legend Robbie Fowler, the £30m-rated striker is good enough to play for any team in the world.

When asked on Monday about Sturridge, Fowler hailed the ex-Chelsea striker as 'exceptional', and claimed:

"When he’s fit and firing, I really believe that any club in the world would have him [Sturridge]".

I absolutely agree with this. If Sturridge remained fully-fit 95% of the time, he'd arguably walk into any team in the world, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

The likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Ibrahimovic, and Aguero are the gold standard when it comes to minutes-per-goal/assist (MPGA), but even with endless injuries, Sturridge's MPGA ratio is still up there with some of the best strikers in the world:

* Lewandowski (Bayern): Goal/assist every 92 mins.

* Sturridge (Liverpool): Goal/assist every 93 mins)

* Higuain (Napoli): Goal/assist every 93 mins.

* Aubameyang (Dortmund): Goal/assist every 95 mins.

* Costa (Chelsea): Goal/assist every 119 mins.

Imagine Sturridge's figures if he had Luis Suarez's robustness...

Obviously, Sturridge's ability to score/create a goal per game should be ignored in favour of playing him on the wing, which is clearly his most effective position.
