Transfer Update: Liverpool want exciting €25m Brazilian striker with 'amazing' talent. Replace Benteke?

With three Brazilians already in the squad, and another, Lucas Moura, regularly linked with a move to Anfield, it appears that Jurgen Klopp has his eye on yet another Brazilian attacker.

According to reports in Brazil this weekend:

* Liverpool and Leicester are interested in signing Brazil U23 striker Luan Guilherme de Jesus Vieira (aka 'Luan').

* Gremio want €25m for Luan, who has been called up to Brazil senior squad for the upcoming Olympic games.

Some info about Luan:

* 23-year old striker, who can also play as false-9, or a left-winger. Current contract expires: 2018

* Gremio: 35 goals/assists in 85 games (One every 193 minutes)

* Dec 2015: Gremio reportedly rejected a €10m bid from Valencia.

* May 2016: Named in Brazil's provisional Copa América squad, but missed out on the final squad.

* Feb 2014: Gremio's General Coordinator, Junior Chávare, raved: "Luan is just starting to take off. His potential is amazing, and he's only at about 55% of his ability so far".

* May 2014: Ex-Gremio manager Enderson Moreira's assessment: "Luan is a false-9. He spends half his time attacking/scoring, and half the time creating an attacker is creating. Few clubs in the world have a player like that".

€25m sounds like wishful thinking to me, and also there's the work permit issue to consider, but as I always say, you can never have enough Brazilians in the team.
