Liverpool XI vs. Palace: Klopp confirms 'serious' blow; Brazilian ignored? 'Amazing' attacker replaces Origi?

Prior to Wednesday's 3-0 humbling of Man City, Liverpool were 11th in the league, and nine points away from fourth place. One deserved victory later, and the Reds climbed to just six points off a Champions League place, and everything suddenly looked rosy again. Well, that's obviously all changed again after today's Premier League results, which makes it imperative that the Reds beat Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Klopp's pre-match updates:

On Lucas: "Lucas is really unfortunate. It’s a little bit more serious. I don’t know exactly but five or six weeks [out]”.

On Sakho: "Mama did a little bit today for the first time. The only session we have is tomorrow and we have to see how he is then, but today was the first day he did a little bit more".

On Sturridge: "Daniel trained completely normally yesterday.”

Sturridge aside, I see no reason to change a winning team:

* Milner, Lallana, and Firmino all scored in the last game, so it's not really fair to drop any of them for Coutinho. If that means the Brazilian stays on the bench, then so be it.

* Sturridge should come in for Origi, who spent most of the City game running into blind alleys (with his kick and rush antics), and failing to beat his man.

* Toure and Lovren kept a clean sheet, and both are well-rested recently, so why make a change?

Probable lineup:

----------------- Mignolet
Flanagan --- Toure ---- Lovren ----- Clyne
--------- Hendo --- Can --- Milner
------------ Firmino - Lallana
----------------- Sturridge

Palace are on a bad run at the moment, but that'll mean nothing on Sunday. Liverpool have lost four of the last six games against Palace (including the last three), and Alan Pardew's team will fight tooth and nail for the result.
