Next Stop Liverpool? 'World-class' £16m attacker who 'dreams' of Anfield confirms transfer is a 'future' possibility

Self-confessed Liverpool fan Andre Ayew is reportedly on Jurgen Klopp's transfer wish-list, and it appears that he's willing to consider a transfer away from Swansea at some point in the future.

In October, ESPN claimed:

"Jurgen Klopp has made Andre Ayew one of his top transfer targets, sources have told ESPN. Klopp is a big admirer of Ayew and twice tried to sign him when he was in charge of Borussia Dortmund".

Soon after, Swansea boss Gary Monk told Wales Online:

"Players get linked everywhere. It is not my concern if he [Ayew] is a Liverpool fan. We all have boyhood dreams”.

In a weekend interview with French newspaper L'Equipe, Ayew - hailed by Ghana boss Kwesi Appiah as 'a player of world-class technical ability - admitted the he's aware of Liverpool's interest, and suggested that he's amenable to leaving Swansea:

"I am not ruling anything out. If everything comes together, why not? I will see what the future holds. Once you get a taste of the Premier League I understand why, now, one struggles to play anywhere else".

Ayew - whose Swansea deal is reportedly worth £16m over 4 years - is definitely a Liverpool fan, and he's confirmed this once again in April, when he told reporters:

"I've supported them [Liverpool] for 20 years. My dream is to play in the Premier League, but it's true that I'm a Liverpool fan".

With 6 goals/assist in 11 games, Ayew has started well in the Premier League, but the acid test is how well he performs over an entire season. Over the years, many players have burned brightly in the first few months of the season, only to fizzle out and struggle thereafter.

As such, there's no point getting carried away right now. That said, Swansea got Ayew for free, so if Liverpool go in with a decent offer in January, the club will almost certainly sell, especially given the potentially humungous profit margin. Potential line-up with Ayew in the team:

-------------- Mignolet
Clyne ---- Skrtel -- Sakho --- Moreno
----------- Lucas -- Hendo
--- Firmino -- Coutinho --- Ayew
-------------- Benteke
