Contact made: Boss confirms 'Liverpool' want summer deal for 'outstanding' Brazilian playmaker

Liverpool youngster Allan Rodriguez De Souza is currently on a season-long loan at Hertha Berlin, and it looks like the young Brazilian has made a strong impression on the club.

Speaking to German magazine Kicker this week, Sporting Director Michael Preetz confirmed:

“We've lodged our wish to loan Allan for another year with Liverpool. The English club is up for it, but they'd like us to be in the group stages of the Europa League".

Liverpool have no choice but to keep Allan out on loan as he remains ineligible for a UK work permit. Jurgen Klopp is desperate to have him in the squad, though:

"I saw him [Allan] in training and thought ‘What can we do to bring him into the line-up? He will be part of the squad in the future. He is an outstanding talent".

Allan also has his eye on the prize, and in November, he insisted:

"My goal remains to play for Liverpool. We'll see what happens if I don't get the number of games need to qualify for a work permit".

On a related note: Hertha's first-team coach Pal Dardai recently revealed the advice he gave Allan to help him improve his game:

"I told him to not run everywhere, and he has managed to do it".

What?! It's possible to be an effective footballer without having to run around like a headless chicken?! Heresy!

One thing's for sure: Klopp will never hire Dardai as a coach for Liverpool...
