Confirmed Teams: 'Brilliant' Liverpool star suffers last-gasp injury; £30m attacker returns; surprise start for Origi

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has selected an experienced side for tonight's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Lucas, Can, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Firmino, Origi

SUBS: Karius, Moreno, Alexander-Arnold, Grujic, Woodburn, Matip, Sturridge

BOURNEMOUTH: Boruc, Smith, Francis, Cook, Daniels, Ibe, Arter, Wilshere, Pugh, King, Afobe

* The immediate surprise is that Klopp has left 'brilliant' Joel Matip on the bench, but according to the Liverpool Echo: "Matip misses out with a back problem so Klavan comes in at centre-back".

* Matip is proving to be increasingly injury prone, and neither he nor Lovren can be relied upon to remain fit for extended periods of time.

* After an excellent performance against Everton, Lucas retains his place in midfield.

* With Mane out, Origi starts the game, but whether he'll play as the central striker remains to be seen.

* On Tuesday, Klopp suggested that he may move Milner onto the wing, but judging by the lineup, it looks like he'll stay at left-back.

* Daniel Sturridge finally returns from his latest injury absence. Expect another injury at some point over the next few weeks.

Probable formation:

------------ Mignolet
Clyne --- Lovren - Klavan ---- Milner
----- Can ---- Lucas --- Wijnaldum
---- Firmino - Origi -- Coutinho

Ex-Red Jordon Ibe starts for Bournemouth tonight, and I'm sure he'll have a point to prove...
