Liverpool are desperately in need of a new left-back this summer, but Recent reports suggest that the Reds l may have already lost out on one of Jurgen Klopp's alleged top targets.
Liverpool reportedly held talks with €20m-rated Kolasinac during the January transfer window, and in March, German newspaper Bild claimed:
"AC Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma, Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool have all made €6m-a year salary offers for Schalke star Sead Kolasinac".
On Saturday, the Daily Mail claimed that Arsenal 'have agreed a deal to sign Kolasinac on a free transfer', but when asked today about the report, Kolasinac's father (and Agent) insisted:
"Sead has not signed anything with anyone. He was in touch with Arsenal, but he is not Arsenal's player yet. I will meet Sead next week, and we will sit down and finally make a decision."
If this is true, then Liverpool still have a slim window of opportunity to try and gazump the Gunners, especially as 'outstanding'Kolasinac is available on a free transfer.
Liverpool fans are certainly in favour of the deal. I conducted a poll recently asking if Klopp should bring in Kolasinac to replace Moreno, and a whopping 96% of participants voted YES.
This is a giant vote of no-confidence in Moreno, and given Kolasinac's experience of playing alongside Joel Matip for Schalke, a transfer arguably makes sense.
