Top Transfer: Tadic claims 'wonderful' €14m star will be a great signing for 'Liverpool' in the 'future'

Southampton star Dusan Tadic has hailed Reds midfielder Marko Grujic, and insisted that his fellow countryman will come good for Liverpool 'in the future'.

Speaking to Goal.com over the weekend, Tadic praised Grujic for his 'good mentality', but conceded that he still 'needs time to adapt' to the Premier League. He further added:

"Liverpool will bring good qualities into him [Grujic]. I believe in him. He just needs to work hard and his qualities will come out. This league is hard to adapt to. He needs the time to adapt..

Will Grujic - who won the league with Red Star Belgrade - get the chance to prove himself? Last week, Dinamo Zagreb official Zdravko Mamic confirmed that the Croatian club is keen to sign Grujic this summer, and after an injury-ravaged season, a loan deal arguably makes sense. Grujic's agent quickly dismissed the speculation, though:

"Liverpool have big plans for Marko. He is their big project, and they are very patient".

We'll see if these 'big plans' come to fruition next season, but I personally can't see Grujic making the breakthrough.

There's a strong probability that Liverpool will sign at least one new central midfielder this summer, and if Emre Can stays, that'll give the Reds the following midfield options next season:

* Can, Hendo, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Stewart, New midfielder, Grujic

When fit, Hendo will start most games, ditto Lallana, which potentially leaves five players fighting for one spot in central midfielder. Take Stewart out of the equation (as he hardly plays), and that still leave four players fighting for one spot, with Grujic the most inexperienced of the lot.

Where exactly does Grujic fit in?

* Grujic: €14m-rated. Hailed by Klopp as a 'wonderful' player.
